Can I ask why the zero clearance strip isn’t cut from end to end why is there a small bit left at start and end and would you join two rails together then cut it ? I don’t know
The Splinterguard is not cut all the way to the end as its only trimmed off to the extent that the cams, that hold the base plate snug on the guide rail, are in contact. This represents the usable cutting length of a guide rail.
Once a guide rail is joined to another rail ,this allows the strip to be trimmed all the way to the end.
