I have the older brushed model from 2009! When the brushes go, the safety activates for it to stop being used. Maybe this is the same issue as yours?

Can I use other than S 75/4 FSG saw blade for Trion PS 300 ? Manual says "Use only S 75/4 FSG blade with guide rails." Anyone know why other blades are not usable ? Makita has similar rule "Always use Makita blades No. B-8, B-13, B-16,B-17 or 58 when using the guide rail and the guide rail adapter".

The blade can be used for any application that it suits. the reason for recommendation of the blade being with guide rails ets. is that it is very stable and is most suited for these applications as the blade is less likely to divert.

@@festoolaustralia Ok I have 20mm birch plywood to cut with rail guide. Planning to have a fine cut. Is the cut achieved very coarse with S75/4 FSG ? It feels like a coarse blade.

@@pekkahollola7646 The FSG blades are designed for use with guide rail adaptors in combination with jigsaws as the blade has good stability and is less likely to deflect. The cut however is not a fine cut but can be improved significantly with the addition of a blade splinterguard (490120) for the jigsaw.

@@festoolaustralia Yes. Mission successful during weekend. 20mm birch plywood used: PS 300 Trion, guide rails 2x1400mm, splinter guards 2x. After 6pcs of 2500mm birch plywoods cut half total 15 meters (2,5m*6x, depth 20mm) the new blade was somewhat dull S 75/4 FSG. I should have used 2x blades. How much meters before you can expect a blade change ? Is it somewhere around 7 meters of cut then change a new blade ?

Is the bottom of the rail grippy enough to not need clamps?

Most times I find if I apply even pressure then I don’t need clamps but you will need to make sure the material surface is as dust free as possible first. This is the same for all the lengths of rail but obviously the neoprene strips have a much better hold on the longer rails.

Just received my Festool MFT/3 and it is a wonderful tabel and fantastic design! The tabel is a little bit to high for little woodworkers like me.. 😊

Great saw especially ruclips.net/user/postUgkxxnKxcY0vm4xjW8xkPbjaHuKt10gr-wG_ considering how drastically cheaper it is than every other track saw on the market. Only things I would mention is replace the blade immediately, the 24 tooth blade supplied leaves a lot to be desired.

Way too.much saw dust blows out at the end of every cut. How is that acceptable in any shop or home remodel from a fine tool maker?
