Not necessarily…if it’s a 2018 and up u need a Chrysler 12+8 cable to bypass the system chargers 2018 and up has a extra safety feature where u can’t just put something in the OBD and get a pin asap(supposedly helps to prevent theft because they have to take off the bottom part and then plug in the Chrysler 12+8 and etc )

The valet mode can be messed with in hp tuners with an unlocked PCM, but glad you got the other fob going!! Any other question just ask I’ll try my best

Thank you for showing the PC interface connection details for the AlfaOBD Program on the PC. I have an iPhone and was stuck on the PC interface. I was able to shut off the Fog light Hi Beam shutoff override on my 2015 RAM 1500. Now its research time for what other annoying factory things i can shut off or enable to make it what I want.

Does the alpha obd let you use linelock in the Uconnect screen? I know the tazer lets you use the buttons on the steering wheel to lock the abs valves.

yes but the line lock is through the tazer the radio unit one doesn't work as well. drive modes work perfect launch control also works

Yes you either have to use the tazer or alfa obd to tell the radio unit it’s a SRT version of your car it’s a must to unlock all the features in the video

Good question, when you open alfa obd and connect to the BCM, you’ll head over to the drop down menu as mentioned in the video but this time type “active sus” and it should pop up, turn the setting to “yes” just like on the video and it should be good to go
Keep in mind it won’t actually adjust your suspension because you don’t have an active suspension module that comes in the 392 SRT and Hellcat platforms, but it should pop up as a changeable option in the radio unit
Hey so I got Alfaobd and a Tazer, in a jeep grand Cherokee limitedX 2020. You think u could help get SRT splash screens in the dash/cluster? I was able to somehow enable performance pages/drive modes and they’re partially functional but I can’t use the timers, my splash screen behind the wheel is still regular jeep and won’t display the extra pages, just empty spots in their place.also I get service ESC FCW and ABS Lights

Launch control works REALLY funny anyway the timing of slamming the break and throttle takes getting used to.

I wonder. Has anyone tried this method with the Vlink MC+ instead of the Obdlink MX+ ? I know AlfaOBD website says the Vlink MC+ works with Alfaobd in general. But it doesn't say if the key fob programming feature superficially, will work with Vlink MC+. I mean it also doesn't specifically say the Obdlink MX+ works with the key feature either. I have a 2016 pursuit Hemi awd mainly got the tazer for performance pages and the ability to go rwd mode line lock is a bonus. Its seems like rwd mode isn’t always engaging? Line lock works, I fooled around with trying art pages just to see and I got them but the drive modes say level unavailable to change. Had some weird glitching with srt pages where my headlights/tails wouldn’t flash when unlocking/locking car so I unmarried and remarried the taser. Wondering if Aphaobd could get this stuff working right. Would the red key do anything for me just for show???
there may be a way to tell the car to engage RWD only via the tazer or alfa obd however i haven't found the digital solution. for that you may have to remove the front differential and do a axle/drive shaft swap. tbh you should try to get as far as you can AWD just think "trackhawk"
red key mode can be functional. for N/A cars you can change the black fob to have less power or no power at all for anti theft. but red key won't unlock untapped power alone

Yes but tbh launch control sucks it’s not useful at all n most guys don’t use it in the streets or strip but if you wanna give it a go this will unlock it

The air bag light is definitely a conundrum. I’m talking with dubb45 to see what we can do about it. My 2018 challenger never got the light with the tazer or alfa so I shared my alfa scan with him to see if maybe there some options or changes that will help everyone in the future.
Yea whenever I turn on SRT page my airbag light comes on no matter which software I use so that remains off.
I hope they get that fixed

No you need to program with a tazer or obd genie to get access to the performance pages I just upgraded on my 2022 challenger 15min install
@Rusty Shackelford hey, can you show me how you do it? I bought 8.4 uconnect and with the taser, I was able to get srt mode and performance page. But for some reason the performance page is not working properly. Like the gauges and number are not working.

Correct you don’t need the tazer, it does help for some features as far as having access to them in the cluster but once you have alfa obd you don’t need a tazer to get the same features
Well I have 1 more question. I was playing around with my car today with alfobd. I was reading the pin on my 2022 challenger. It give me a 5 Digit number as my 18 ram have a 4 Digit. I am I doing some wrong on here today on reading this pin?
You’re not doing anything wrong, sometimes it reads a completely different pin with alpha OBD. For this the work around is to get a pin reading from a lock smith,
Best way to do this is google “car locksmith near me” call around for availability and pricing ask specifically to re-sync your old fob and you need the 4 digit pin, don’t pay more than $120 for this service.
Once you get the pin it’s pretty ez to follow these steps

jeep's don't have there bcm programmed the same you may be able to tweak certain options but may not be able to add anything

You can delete the keys and add them back in no problem. You can program used keys from other vehicles.

This should work with the all-wheel-drive challenger it's just a digital manipulation nothing going on in the tune that it should mess up

no you can't, the stupid fobs knows what color it is lol. you can however buy a red fob from the dealer, auto locksmith or online/ebay. as long as the part number is associated with your year hellcat it will program just fine. this video is for those who really wanna do it themselves or dave money. it's only $200-$300 with the fob to have a professional program one

Try resetting the radio/uconnect… look up how to reset the uconnect system the correct way if u cant find it let me know and I’ll tell u how but im pretty sure you’ll b able to find it

This in no way will keep your vehicle safe. It reverts back to normal the second you unplug the battery and plug it back up… get a real anti theft like igla

So I tried to change my 2020 scat settings to have the power and red key options on the screen with the alfa obd but nothing changed. Also corrected the new cluster to my actual mileage but none of the changes worked. When let it sit over night but still nothing. Any ideas?
pull pos and neg off battery make them touch for about 10-15 seconds this hard resets the bcm
some features take a few starts and drives for it to take effect
most the time end user is doing one step wrong just make sure you go through all the settings red key only comes up of the car thinks it's a hellcat scroll to the point where i choose cad types and follow those steps
even if the settings don't seem to take you'll know it works when the cluster alerts a red key is on use
i programmed red key mode but it still says black key active, do i have to buy a specific key for it to read redkey or can i program my regular key as a redkey
Sounds like you did everything right all you need now is the actual red key fob unfortunately you cannot trick the car into thinking the black key is now a red key but you have access to the feature now

Great question, there’s 2 things you can try.
1. Just like the AUX programable buttons, press and hold the left arrow on the steering wheel and tap the sport button, this should cycle options on the cluster. Land back on sport mode
2. If using a tazer unmarry and remarry the device and make sure you’re changing the options accordingly and reboot in between changes and don’t do the next change until the previous one takes effect

you would need a way to connect alfa obd to the pcm/bcm. i believe the only way is through blue tooth although guy maybe be able to run ISB to OBD2 but i'm not sure

You can take your red key to a locksmith and have them program it it’s $100-$300 depending on area

It’s not!!! 4 digit radio frequency hub pin and theft pin are completely separate

how to enable the “traction” option in the “PC” 3.6 settings?
I have to pull out my PC but I believe all you have to do is type in traction and the same menu setting where your typing in sport mode

I cannot get alfaobd to connect, I am using a veepeak ble+ and everytine I try to connect the app crashes. the forscan, torque, obj scan work fine.

@@Alwayz_Angry I have 2008 dodge charger RT and 2013 300S 5.7L , I am using the app on my Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra, there is no bypass cable, I read that you only needed the bypass for 2018 and up.
Weird thing is when I messaged you last my phone and veepeak would not connect at all, this morning I figured I would try it and Alfaobd connected to the veepeak but it would not connect to any modules at all, it just kept trying.
Hey, man I got my Red key program. I had to go to 2 locksmith to get it program. Now my car is a 22 modle with a 6spd trans. Now went to special packages. On the 1 did my 18 hellcat. Because there wasn't one list for 22. On the special pack 2 I did the add. Then turn on the red. It does not show the 700hp on my screen like yours. Did I do something wrong?
Go to alfa obd and turn on “red key” as well, the locksmith programed a fob to the car but you have to tell the car it’s a red key by doing it that way.
It takes a few starts for it all to work
@@Alwayz_Angry. I did that to on the key fob. It notice as a hell cat on dash for the speedometer. It just dont show the 700hp on GPS screen .
@@rogerstewart5140 ok cool, so when you start the car on the cluster it says “red key” before loading? If so then it works the red key mode is recognized by the system
Make on the radio sure you push the key fob and switch it from
Black to red, it should be in the options where you turn on paddle shifters traction or sport steering on the radio
If you do all that and the numbers are not present it makes take a few days or starts for it to pop up
Sometimes pulling the radio fuse helps reset

You have to change the car type to SRT and hellcat with the tazer or in the alfa settings like on the video, sometimes it takes a few restarts for it to change over
If you. Have “drive modes” and no SRT splash just wait, if you have “perf CTRL” then something didn’t take in the settings
I'm a locksmith and that part of process hitting unlock always takes a couple tries.

Not really. You can do all this but the feature won’t be “functional” yes you can turn on red key or unlock SRT pages but the throttle response changes from black key to red key only happen in hp tuners which does require an unlocked pcm

you may have to get it reset at an auto locksmith to "blank it out"

it should workshop angrhing mopar so rams and chrysler! if you already have some features working with tazer alfa should be able to unlock the rest
just note some features were not available before 2018, some feature changes require a head unit update to function correctly like launch control etc. i had a 2018 head unit and purchased a 2020 unit out of a srt392 to make it work right for example, you may be able to get away with a software update but i never figured out how to do it on my end for free, dealer charges to update the head units

Hey bro! Have you had any experience or know anything about losing sport mode when upgrading the uconnect from 5.0 to 8.4? I’ve tried resetting the ECU and putting sport mode as present in AlfaOBD but no luck. Tempted to buy a tazer to remap the sport button but idk if that will fix anything
2015 dodge challenger here
switching the radio shouldn't have that effect, you definelty lose the sport mode button when you turn on SRT mode. that's because hellcats AV/volume control module only has launch and drive modes, 392s had just the SRT button and scats had the sport mode and super track pack button. so the sport mode button gets eliminated when SRT is enabled or if the car thinks it's a hellcat.
i'm alfa obd go to special vehicle and make sure you change it back to stock. in the video I made sure it's a DR for package one in my 2018 hellcat for a package to you would want to make that your stock set up.

Reset the radio and everything will pop up. That’s what I did
I recently replace my radio with a 2015 8.4 UAS in my SRT challenger and I can’t make any changes to my drive modes. Hopefully this helps because I definitely don’t want to pay the dealership to try to fix the issue
I was having issues with 2015-2018 radios the tech was different from Harmon to Panasonic head units
If you enabled it with AlfaOBD, try going to your settings on the radio and reset it. It worked for me. Only thing it resets is your settings like audio, beeps, drl in the settings portion of the radio etc

hey man i’m trying to program a red key but after reading and typing in my pin it says the pin is incorrect have you experienced anything similar?
if the pin is incorrect or the wrong amount of digits you'll have to get the pin from any dodge dealer for free provided registration and ID or pay a automotive locksmith to program the red key and give you the pin.
make sure the car is off when you try to get the pin the alfa instructions are easy overlook i did a few times

It will not work on 14 and below because the red key wasn't available back then.
@@GearHeadSX we got it to work with a BCM swap. To be transparent we got it to program to the 2013 srt but all it did was lock doors and start car, for that it’s all about the chip type. However we had to change bcm and to the 2015+ 8.4 radio for it to change power levels and do the whole drive modes ..so it can work just gotta determine how much you this mod client was already doing the radio upgrade so that helped.

@alwayangry I just bought the alpha obd software and everything goes good until I try to enable srt a air bag light comes on and the performance pages don't look like yours is there something I'm doing wrong been watching your video a over and over I can't fix the problem
Ive had the air bag come up aswell, if drag mode is turned on it disabled the airbags and the light comes on also if it you put it on like vehicle special packages I’ve tried different modes nd some the air bag pops up but just change it and it goes away

make sure you fucks get the right part number for your specific years! Another thing you may need to know is whether your car is a 4A chip or 46 chip. Go to your local auto Locksmith and ask it’s usually free and takes seconds however programming a fob you already have may cost $100+

@@datankgaming most likely need a 2018+ but 2015-2021 should work. the information is stored in the BCM on mopar units and depending on make/trim you have access from factory to some features. this process unlocks what's there but doesn't add the features to your car. great question

Can that thing unlock GPS? I have the 2016 Charger RT and the radio wants me to input a purchased code to use the GPS.
No it will not unlock it but you can get codes off ebay for like $10

Plug your smart phone n2 one of the charging ports in your middle console -- not the one below your uconnect. Just Google whatever address you want to go with, using your ordinary phone GPS and the Uconnect will display the GPS, along with a host of other things. I found this out by accident.
