He's using Head voice every time he gets up there in range. If Halford sings this range he doesn't use head voice to do it. Halford's Lower range is phenomenal. Ripper uses it to get up there just like everyone else. These vocals are nothing special in my opinion . His timing is strange. You hear the lower octave following the lead to thicken it up? Listen to this then listen to the Sentinel . It's not even remotely close comparing their work. Or the end of Run Of the Mill off Priests 1st album I promise it will move you much more than this.Those are some of the most incredible vocals that exist. And mostly all chest voice till he hits the highest note I've ever heard out of a male vocalist. KK wrote the song to show the world what Halford could do. Levels the world with that ending.
Without kidding, The sinner Rides Again has become one of my favorite albums it has everything I like about Judas on this fucking álbum! Killer riffs, double attack guitars, Blasting solos, speed drumming, catchy lyrics that don't give shit, 70-80 production sound and the aggression style of kk and Ripper roaring vocals tanks kk's for this christmas gift
I felt a lot of that energy here, this guys may get older and not sound identical to the golden years, but fuck it With good shit like this, I shouldn't give a damn! Hope they make this a trilogy

When people get rich in the music business, they lose the fire and their heart and soul, and make crappy music. Metallica and Queensrÿche are prime examples, but Metallica has somewhat come back, but Queensrÿche you might as well put a nail in the coffin. This is very refreshing and old school.

I have a feeling that if it got dug into deep enough, one might find that kk had more of a creative role in judas priest than most ppl thought. The house of priest is pretty closed mouth on internal info though.

I was last wednesday watching them in Spain and they were absolutely brilliant. If they keep touring and defending this project as a real band (more than a little revenge of KK) they will be one of the best bands in the actual heavy metal world. Amazing!
Now, this is what I have been longing for. Real metal. With real vigor, intensity and the ability to fascinate. Cannot say anything else. It does not need to be over-analyzed. Beautiful twin solo. KK and AJ Mills are very good partners to each other! Thank you guys. This is what I needed.
KK knows how to make music and KK knows how to make Priest music and he's getting the most out of Tim, this bands legit including AJ, Tony and Sean, each sound distinct and great, this is good production. I've always been receptive to the Priest offshoots as they brought a lot of quality, slightly more varied music. This sounds more Priest than the current Priest which to me sounds more Halford, but make no mistake I love(d) Halford, just it goes back to KK knows the Priest formula as good as anyone else and he now gets to lead, which he couldn't before. I'm now prepared to feel this could be the more classic Priest band and there is nothing old/tired about this. Hope they tour out my way some day.
You're correct on all points , this sounds fresh and energetic but still has that classic 80's metal vibe which i love. Iv'e been hoping that classic metal sound will come back , because honestly there's very few newer metal band i like.
I coldn't agree more with you on all you said my friend! Priest needs KK back! There is no reason to not now that Tipton is out of touring! And the prodction is so much better than on the debut album... and why? Because it is mixed by super metal producer Jacob Hansen!

Iv'e seen some cringey performances , including one in my state last year that was probably the worst performance iv'e ever seen from them. I think KK should stay with Ripper , at least he can still sing and reach the high notes on the early stuff....

They are boring and lacking energy and Robs voice is shot , they have no stage show anymore and couldn't even sell out a 3000 person venue the second time they came through my state last year. Meanwhile i saw Maiden in 2019 , they sold out a 30.000 seat venue and the stage show was incredible , Bruce's voice was as strong as ever and he was running around nonstop for 2 hours! Priest is done , it's not even close IMO!!!!
