Well, when going over the comment section of the other Priest's new songs I see the opposite. I am confused. Perhaps let's stick to the fact that it comes down to personal preferences. This said, I love both KK's Priest and Judas Priest.
This is from heavy heart&soul... This is real heavy metal ... if KK back one day to judas again listen them. FOREVER REAL HEAVY METAL 🤘 ( There is still KK in every Judas Priest song I listen to. and it hurts! )

@@TomasFedyszynProblem of current JP is not the same as before.. They lost all aggression end passion. No good solos, everything is cliche.. Ritchie is good but he just average guitar player nothing special… No Glen no KK vibe is lost.. Rob voice no so good anymore. is just a name now

As a lifelong Judas Priest fan, it completely blows my mind that I get two crazy good bands for the price of one! I've got The Sinner Rides Again and the brand new Invincible Shield in heavy rotation on my stereo right now! Plus I've got Demolition and Firepower on deck! Metal life is good!

The slow part in the beginning lasting 1:50, is for me, THE moment in the album. The melody and Rippers singing is just so on point, that I could listen it the whole day on repeat. Shivers, goosebumps, you name it. "Murmur" and "leave us alone", maybe the best moments in Rippers entire career, so much feeling and creating an unbelievable atmosphere. This video suits very well to the song, great work !
All the chants and use of other singers on the album just add so much more than just straight metal and to me that is the difference in being great.

I have found this band somewhat inconsistent, but this is one of their better ones. The theme is every Goth and Metalhead's dream, and it's well-structured into four movements and a coda. Normally I'm not keen on half ballad/half rocker tunes, but in this "concept album in one song" all the parts are essential to tell the story. I liked the way the coda loops you back to the start. Great production and perfect level. It's a must for your Classic Metal playlist. My Score: Very Good 4*
