Exactly! I wanna play my German 6.7 lineup, but when each tank has a repair cost of roughly 10k EACH, It just isn't sustainable. I mean...the Tiger II 105 costs 17k! Considering that I don't use premium, running these vehicles isn't sustainable
I strongly believe they are tampering with matchmaking for as they way of balance. Mig-21 has strangely often really usles teams to it, and it should be opposite as for U.S there were always people who pay and rush through line. When with Rusia almost no one fells look this is this iconic plane I will buy my way to it. Same with Tu-4 I plaed same br on other planes menany times and there isn't really one nation to dominate at this b.r however when I jump into Tu-4 my win rate is skyrocketing down.
Fr up until I finally filled out my US 7.7 lineup I regularly had to hop down to my Shermans and Panther lineups because US Tier 4 prices were too high for me to afford
As much I like his channel, even he gives into broken meta R3, Falcon, etc. I never got to play the R3 when it slaps back in 3.3. He seal clubs from time to time everyone does it because it just happens the vehicles players want to play are at that BR. Where he states that there is no skill base matchmaking to divide skilled frome none skilled players. The MM would take horrendously long as it already is. I find that WT is a game you play for a bit and stop after the 5th/10th match. Sometimes even earlier if you pull an amazing game.
It literally is Gaijin's stance that top tier shouldn't be played to earn money, and that instead Premiums and low and mid tier should be played. So Gaijin is part of the problem again.
@@Whiteghost785 ; Why is it fine not to make money playing top tier vehicles? I never understood that sentiment. Why should I play lower tier vehicle to finance top tier vehicles? Heck with the current economy not even those make money.
That was WoT logic shamelessly stolen by Gayjoob: you lose money at tier 8-10, so buy this tier 8 premium to afford repair costs (even with premium involved)
@@FirstDagger Part of it is they actually want people to smurf to maintain the population at lower tiers, because they're worried that the playerbase could become too top-heavy because people naturally want to play high-tier vehicles since endgame=better in most people's eyes. The other part is to force you to spend money if you want to play high-tier exclusively. It's especially effective because people have a sunk cost mindset since they've spent so much time grinding to get there.
_"The higher you climb the tech tree, the more skilled players you face."_ I'd like to contest that this probably plateaus around 8.0 as the game starts becoming cheese fighting cheese. It just feels like a net drain of enjoyment.
The game has been bitch tits mc chicken greases fighting for the goomer throne for a while now. It's all cheese fighting cheese anymore. That's why sycophants flood to the forums jerking off the mods and starting fights to slide threads into keeping their powerful ass toys.
Basically the reason I don't play anything above 7.0 It's the tier where individual skill slowly starts to matter less as the game devolves into "who can point and click with thermals on the fastest"...
You forget that the matchmaking system should be blamed on Gaijin. It actively encourages smurfing so when new players are being stomped, they force them to open their wallets. The core gameplay of WT is suffering.
Pretty much the reason I stopped ground rb right around 4.0-5.0, highest density of questionably balanced premiums and top tier players doing events, or just seal clubbing
That br bracket is cancer, i know. But at least if u can (and u obviously can) go up from that br, u wont see them. But its a issue if u like that low of a br. Personally being a skilled 8.7-9.7 player, i wouldnt go back to 4.0 or lower cz tanks there arent my favourite. Even if i have the kv1b. The problem is people, (i mean pure wheraboos), that just have fun ruining other's fun like a psychopath
@Battery Boi At least u could've stayed and gotten better over time. Back when i started even if u gave me pantherA at 2.0 i'ld still do shit If u can, come back. If u dont like a br, its no problem. U can move to the next one. Most of the frustration that i see is from skill issues, and bad luck. U cant do anything about luck, but u can about ur skill Before, i used to be scared about the object 279. Now i dont care
The idea of "safe matches" with bots at the start is very reasonable I just hope they don't use the bots in the defensive missions, as they slightly tend to snipe you on the move from 2km away every single time
@@odiousfox355 it doesn't have to be full bots and you just need to play a few games to get through them I certainly would be happy to just face low tier opponents right now
Well put for sure - smurfing is 100% an issue, i agree a lot of players arent doing it intentionally to be malicious, low tier is just more fun for a lot of them. They need to match low level players together and not allow level 30s+ for example, with people under 30.
Low tier is more fun for them precisely because they're stomping so it is intentional. Its exacerbated by Gaijins constant BR changes in low to mid tier that generally result in further compression making nations that benefit from this ^cough^ "Germany suffers" ^cough^ even more attractive to play at those lower BR ranges than they'd otherwise be. Tried a Jagdpanzer IV lately? Its monstrous.
2:55 I also feel like there should be some sort of bot only mode (ie, you against a lot of bots or you, a team of bots, against bots) mostly for testing out vehicles in actual combat or just messing around.
You could set up a custom match. I do this occasionally when I have a bad match and I just want to feel invincible in my IS-3. The bots AI is garbage tho, on port Novo the bots will just drive into out of bounds and kill themselves on the North Spawn.
The most egregious griefing I see in war thunder is in air arcade- there are whole squadrons of level 100+ sweats who dedicate all their playtime to circling above enemy air spawns and diving on players as soon as they spawn in. This isn't just in high tiers, they go down to tiers 2 and 3 to do this to new players and then shit-talk them in chat when their scummy play style gets called out. As far as I can tell, the ones who don't do it just to make other people's experience less enjoyable do this specifically to pad their K/D ratios, which is pretty pathetic, imho.

The smurfing in air realistic is insane right now. In 2 hours of play time I received a grand total of ~1000 rp, mainly gained from the free rp gained from taking off. With 80 hours in game, I just received my first tier 3 today
Another idea: make top tier not cancer so that people who want to have fun would actually be attracted to that kind of game mode. i'm level 100. i still think tier 3 tanks are the most fun, the matches are always more entertaining and i dont mind unlocking top tier stuff with Tier 3 matches, cuz i'd rather have fun rather than play something i hate
Same here as well. I generally play between 3.7 and 6.7. Top tier sucks because the battle is won or lost in the first 2 minutes of the game and everyone leaves after they die once.
If Gaijin want to fix smurfing then they need to fix the economy too. I play allot of 4.0 arcade simply because high tier just isn't financially stable and playing low tier is the only viable way for a f2p player like me to grind silver w/out exploiting bugs.
I have a friend who is still semi-new to the game. We can't do realistic battles that often since he just cannot afford to do them, especially since he's on the lower end of "mediocre" so he is essentially losing a crap ton of silver each match. So we stick to the 4.0 flying where it's the sweet spot to have fun and make decent cash.

Yes, thank you so much for this video! I could never get into tanks because every time I tried to learn how to play the game, I'd run into some dude that has 10K+ matches in a PZ.2 lineup or some other clubbing tank like the German KV1. The annoying part is people always say "Oh, just because someone's level 100 and killed you, it doesn't matter", absolute bullshit, a level 100 player probably has better crew skills, better map knowledge, and better knowledge of where to shoot, which make a huge difference. I did manage to get up to the Shermans, but I just stopped playing tanks all together because around 90% of my deaths would be from some lvl 100 player sniping me across the map because I never really got the chance to learn the maps properly. Lead to me just sticking to Aircraft / Naval with WT.
This is a huge issue with maps, as you rise up the battle ratings, you encounter new maps you've never seen before, so you dont know anywhere to sit or any callouts for squad mates, nor do you understand the topography from the map on the spawn screen. You spawn in and have to waste your first tank getting a little bit familiar with the layout of the map while experienced players shit on you.
I have said this since the first day I played Warthunder, "They need to let you choose your maps so you can learn them and get good knowledge of where people sit.
I know this is a year ago now, but I have a suggestion for you if you still have this issue; Try making a custom battle with or without bots (You can find them in one of the dropdown menus on the top left of the screen) I have used it myself to either fuck around with the boys or just learn the maps, it's a useful and underrated tool
Yeah buddy, Top tier isn't great..The repair cost is WAY too high, and multiplying that there's too much shit that can kill you easily. I just enjoy WW2 content for the simplicity of it all and I'm just a ww2 fan; so I do more 5.3 than I do 10.0. I would enjoy the M60 more, But instead of facing T-54's; I'm constantly going up against T-55AM1's. Both the T-54 and the M-60 would do great with a .3 change lower in BR. I don't mean to smerf - and if I could be placed in matches with folks at my similar level - I wouldn't give a load.
The 55AM should rather get the .3 higher rating. The other two fit in eith most tanks they face/play with but the AM is straight up a better A but for real money.
I don’t think he’s referring to people that play like 4.0+ When I think of seal clubbing it’s some level 100 with 3000 hours that only plays like 2.3 with a full lineup of pumas or something.
I've been playing War Thunder for 7 years now, in many different accounts (lost all except for one) and the more I play it I have the impression that the community itself destroys the game more than Gaijin. For all these years most times I thought about quitting War Thunder were caused by things such as: -Spawn killing/spawn camping -Smurfing -Revenge killing -Being toxic overall
You are 100% correct I've been playing for a couple years now and theres nothing that kills my will to grind more than Toxic players, I can put up with upteirs that completely screw over my lineup but something I can't compensate for is that one asshole who pulls out his G.91 R/4 (or other good ground attack aircraft) and proceeds to kill me every time I respawn because I knocked out his precious premium tank
Annd when I got to make thread on steam. They shut me down on spawn killing and camping calling me crying and bitching. Yeeep. That's another reason I quit.
yep and I played warthunder for 2 years and havent gotton top tier because thier is always that one person in your team who acts like a dic because he was first to die in his premium.

Easy to complain about Gaijin and it's "broken mechanics" while your enemy team figured out how to stop your spawn killing
While I agree with most of the points you make, you've omitted one important reason to play low tier - SL. Yeah, the gains aren't that great, but with negligible repair costs and pretty much guaranteed at least 5 kills a match, 2.0-5.0 is a great way to make loads of money, especially if you have the full lineups.

I agree ! I started playing war thunder 2 months ago. My first days are really depressing. There are always 3 or 4 lvl 80-100 players in the game . They started wiping out inexperience players from blind spots and sometimes so far from the point our crew can't even see. The main problem is crew skills where we really struggle to keep up against . Idk why people do this even in arcade mode . They just want to bully newbies at Tier 1 2.
Literally me when I see a guy with a full set of 3D gun decorations at a 1.3 match Also, the problem with using levels to match up players is a little problematic. For example, I mainly play aviation and have grinded out a majority of rank 4 for all nations except Italy however I rarely play ground despite my interest in the vehicles because of this exact issue I’m currently level 80 with 75+ of those levels being achieved through aviation. So it would be putting an aviation main with little to no skill with ground against pros
@@irinashidou9524 That idea would be great with one small problem, that being the ground airflights, do you count them as air or plane exp? They also need to separate plane/ground/naval player level if they ever do something like this. I was thinking a ranked system is actually possible in WT with both skill and BR taken into account for MM. But the games need to be smaller in size
This is especially commonplace in Air AB. Where you got max level 4-player squads with over 30k matches each, using full stacks of planes with 8 or more respawns. Same people usually either wiping ground strike games in 2 minutes or spawncamping bombers with BnZ planes. blast from the past, mentioning Navyfield like that lol. Though arguably once you were past light cruisers/heavy cruisers on the tech tree you were immediatelly dumped into a mode where anyone, including people with top battleships that had bought multiple sailor and premium packages and had vastly more knowledge of the game than you would stomp you for weeks on end until you either got good at manual aim and progressed enough in a techtree or dropped the game alltogether. And I'm trying to avoid the store factor and those packages I mentioned; somewhat p2w mtx at a time you only saw those in MMORPGs. Oh and yes there were high level players starting new lines or leveling crew with premium boosts all the way down there with the noobies, smurfing was definitelly a thing it was just kept in check better than in WT.

This latest event made me realized grinding SL in my 5.7 German lineup in arcade is insane. I even had a nuke one match, but sadly couldn't use it due to the enemy's points depleting to zero.
I agree to a point - but the solution could be a combination of approaches rather than just one. E.g. new player being grouped together for the first X number of battles, while bots are added to fill in the space only when needed. Alternatively - there could be an opt-out option for those who simply don't enjoy fighting bots, which comes with higher wait times (or veteran players). Conversely, more experienced players could opt to be put in games with newer players, but be restricted to the number of vehicles they could use, the rewards they get, etc. As a side note - I don't believe that restricting event tasks to tier 3 vehicles and above was a good idea. Some of the most iconic (and fun) tanks are now tier 2, which means they are never, ever used if you want to grind the tasks.
I never really considered how bringing my entire lineup might perpetuate this. I guess I have just always assumed the same was being done to me so I might as well have a full lineup no matter the BR. Fortunately I dont go down THAT low, as I prefer the cold war tanks and more of a wargame red dragon kind of warthunder. Excellent video as always, sadly I haven't booted the game up in about 6 months and likely will never do so again. Thank you for the content, it helps keep me up to date if anything ever improves.
Well idk - when I take low tier stuff, I also change my playstyle to super chill with no much attention. No need to do pixel hunting with thermal sight (if your tank have one ofc) against camper who is 2km away, no need for thinking about not losing your tank because repair cost is huge, armor that actually can work, planes are not as cancer because they don't have jet engines + atgms and it's actually possible to kill without AA. And with AA, you can get like 3-4 kills in less than a minute, since it's so easy to take down those planes (ofc if there is enough planes in the sky). You don't need to actually try your best at low tier and you can play comfortably.
this is a really good suggestion that meshes well with the whole tech tree system to help prevent smurfing. ill assume youve forwarded this suggestion to them via your CC channels, i hope they listen.
I don’t mind smurfs because I can easily check their profiles and I just follow them the rest of the match as they know the best spots. I got killed many times by them but I get equal amounts if not more by following them and remembering their spots and strategies.
The game has so many meta changes, that its hard for me to say that someone is purely smurfing. Its plausible that a player doesnt want to play with stabilizers. Or NVDs. Or HEAT/APFSDS.
I went back to some lower tiers recently after unlocking my first 9.0 tank I was getting stomped into bankruptcy even with a decent 8.0-8/8.7 line up. But I wouldn't say I was smurfing I was researching my way higher for those other nations and trying to work out if I wanted to go higher with them or not. Any France players reckon I should get into that line up?
to fix smurfing they should put all players in the match with a similar total hours played, for example 1k hours players with other 1-2k hours players, 300 hours with 200-400 hours and so on
It would have no sense. I played 3 different trees and i have max 5.7. Some peoplr with my same amount of hours played are at 8.0 or 9.0 woth one tree. How could we play together ? No way.
That is my main issue with the game. I'm pretty new to the game and I want to enjoy PvP. But dying to an enemy and finding out it was a level 100 player is very demoralizing. Have that happen in almost every game, I lose hope in trying to play PvP. I mainly stick to the PvE modes or bot games now. But those give so little (or no) rewards that I will never make it anywhere.
My main recommendation would be to find a squad to play with, there are a few discords and places to people to find playmates as well and hey even when one can't do anything being near someone and sometimes just help repair cover for them and stuff can be rewarding
Just like masterbaker said, i have 1200+ hours in the game and maybe only 5 of them are truly solo games, let me give you a word of advice, the harder you try to worse the game gets, give into the stupidity, find something you think is dumb and run with it, me and my buddies go into top tier games with vehicles that shouldn't work and somehow we slap sweaty try hard cheeks on a regular basis, don't take the game seriously, it'll destroy you
I must admit, that I simply enjoy squeezy boy and Stuka gameplay from time to time. And I am grinded through whole USSR tech tree. And I must say, I have most fun in mid tier. Because armor simply means something. Top tier is simply boring as hell. Too small maps. I would really enjoy big maps, but I think they would have to change the game modes as well. Maybe protect airfield and arty positions could be one?? AA positions could be a side objective to affect air control by even ground forces. Something like that.
Yeah, the problem with high tier gameplay is simply that Gaijin never designed the game with it in mind. They set the cutoff for vehicles so they'd be on the cusp of modern tech so they wouldn't need to redesign the game, then they realized how profitable it would be of they added higher brs. Players were getting bored of what existed, and were begging for modern combat so that's what they gave us.
I think the biggest failure is introducing new players via tanks. Progression for tanks is slow and expensive, but I've managed to introduce 3 friends to warthunder this year by starting with planes, which is much more new player friendly as planes take less research and are generally cheaper. Now 2 of my friends are either researching their first jet or able to research their first jet. And the fun thing is if I get them to start playing tanks they now have cas planes leveled meaning they can try new things and not get as hindered as if they had started tanks or boats
Rest assured; When I am against the German or Finnish KV-1 when I'm playing rank II, it's gonna get my full attention, and get the satisfaction of killing it, and perhaps get a fanmail from them, to top it off.
The problem with the kv1B is the fact that it has very good armor in the front, but a really bad cannon for 4.0. Only 86mm of pen. The armor About the armor I can said that if the m10 player aim for the lower front plate, its a oneshot. From the side, even a m24 can oneshot you if he aim in the lower plate. The cannon The cannon can pen only 86mm, but the shells have the capacity to pen even with high angles, and the explosiv is enough to guarantee one shot one kill. The problem is that a 4.0 there are many inexperienced palyers who don't know that your kv1B-E is not a simple kv1, so they shot in the turret or in the pilot's optics, and many times they don't have a good aim so the shot hits sideways, where there is the 20mm plate over 80mm armor. But you cannot move this tank in 4.3 or 4.7 because against 5.3 or 5.7 you can pen absolutley nothing. Imagine pen 86mm against tigers, panthers, is1 or jumbos. Already against shermans firefly and Churchill mk3 you have no possibility to pen them at the distance. In 4.0/3.0 there are a lot of good cannons that players are unable to use them. Look the m10. It's one of the most common vehicles in 3.0/4.0.
2 days ago I played my first game back after 1 month (at 5.3) and barely 1 minute into the game I died to a lvl 100 with probably 1000s of ours in the game. Usually I would say in my head "died to a lvl 100 addict again lol" but i decided not to care. After that, I came back in my Panther, killed the guy and killed 5 more others, carried my team and almost won the game. And I'm only lvl 30.
I grinded till 8.7 br in germany I quited because its too hard With premium or not So rn im sitting always on 4.0-6.0br I only take 1 tank that i want to play and a good duo plane Lets say a tiger 1H and bf109 g6 I love the duo and play it And tbh i am kindoff a sweaty player But now when i see it whats the point pf sweating when the game is garbage Since i have breakdowns from the game i take my 15cm slG and go to top tier to make other people mad when i kill them Or i stay at low brs and just try to have fun without sweating
I got suspicious over this issue when I'd run fights at 3 BR and I'd go from getting 5 kills and 1 death, to getting 4 deaths and not grazing another person one after another. While I accept I'm probably mediocre at the game, the lack of consistency really raised a red flag to me. Tbh I got to rank 4.3 and ducked out of the game. It was a decent amount of investment, the game is a lot of fun when balanced. But as mentioned in the video, there are people with the most obscure premiums and they're still able to stomp the fuck out of you.
while i think the implied bot system you suggested would help, i feel that a system that should match players within 10-20 player levels of the player in question as well as the BR of their tank, this way it keeps things consistent in terms of skill bracket mid game, as well as preventing reserve tier bullying
Me and my brother are working out lineups for the big three. So in the last year or so whenever we’ve moved to the next country we would always have fun getting exceptionally more kills for a little bit each time. But we never stuck around longer than it took to move up in tanks.
you should make level categories for example players with under lvl 30 will play with lvls under 30 and so on. That would also make the match queue slightly higher which could in turn make players get actual lineups of tanks and not leave after 1 death
Damn you're right, I didn't even know about the smurfing problem, and technically, participating to it without realizing as I mainly do my daily task around rank III. However, the "Bring only your favorite tank" rule suits me. Instead of 3 tanks, you only bring one that you enjoy, and your games are faster, it leaves space for the newbies willing to come to the game.
I remember my first game after unlocking my first rank 2 tank, and rolling in with a dude with the 100k kills title. It kinda killed my desire to play being matched with dudes with hundreds if not thousands of hours logged
After a 10 hour tank grind session the other day. (I'm level 20 now) I started keeping track of how many levels 100s there were. If I remember right, I went 7 matches in a row, where more than 4 of the enemies were level 100, and they all had 5+ kills by the end of it. I started at 3.x BR.
My problem with this being restricted to levels is that players that play every once in a while (like myself) would gradually level up despite the skill level not entirely up to par as you'd expect from someone on the same level who plays constantly.
Agree with all the problems, but you're conflating smurfing and sealclubbing. The only reason to smurf in war thunder, ie to create a new account, is because if you do the referral link you can get 2500 gold on the 'primary' account you use to refer. Sealclubbing is very real, I see plenty of squadrons in beginner rank matches. I stick to BR 5-ish for airplanes, because WW2 is why I signed up, and BR 4-5-ish for tanks, same reason. Zero interest in the made up fuckery that is recent-modern BR ranges. As a result, because I do well, I end up seal clubbing, but since they don't do skill based matchmaking, nothing to be done. I either play BRs I dislike intensely, or I seal club. Frankly at this point given Gaijin's shit handling of War Thunder, I'm happy to drive away new players. The sooner this shitpile dies, the better. Maybe then someone will come along and do a better job of it with an opening in the market.
@@Ramzi1944 Every so often war thunder will pop up a message saying 'refer a friend, have them use this link'. Punch in the link, it takes you to a war thunder account creation page, create an account with a valid email (it doesn't HAVE to be valid, but if you use an invalid one you can never change it and if your account gets hacked, good luck with that). When the referred account gets to certain progress, the referrer gets golden eagles. 500 gold for when the friend/smurf reaches level 3 in any vehicle line in one nation, and 2000 more gold at level 5. Last time I did it, took about 3 weeks, doing a couple hours a day on the smurf.
So I take it your a level 100 player then ? But why is it so important for you to drive away new players, I honestly thought that the game was meant to attract new players not drive them away. Myself I have been playing for a while the only reason my level is in the 60's is because of people like you, there is no way I'm gona end up in high tier, I point blank refuse to go any higher than tier 8 because it doesn't interest me. But in all fairness I guess that's what most of the level 100 players are good at driving people away from a game they hope to have fun in but you guys stop all that from happening, thus is just my option and I think it's an unfair advantage over low level players. Oh and by the way yes I have had to stick my hand in my pocket to try and you guys but due to lack of experience I don't honestly see me going any higher until you lot ( in general ) no specific naming not that I actually know any but have seen plenty of them in low tier shoulder bugger off back to there respective levels, rant over.
I feel bad since i mostly play lower tier since I prefer WW2 (mostly planes in arcade) but playing the US tech tree you have 4.0 BR fighters in rank 4 where other countries have some rank 1 planes that face these planes. The entire tech tree is seal clubbing if you are experienced in the game (particularly with german or Italian fighters)
You're being shitty at [whatever BR your T-72 is] because you aren't used to that playing style. I bet that you'd go and slap fricking hard at some 3.0 or something like that. It's about playing style.
@@mixderman2461 the higher the br the more you passive you have to play in my experience. At lower tiers it's important to spot ppl before they spot me but I can always use my armour as a fall back. If gaijin was smart they would make a beginner's only game mode for players with 24/48/72hrs played. After that or if they choose sooner, they can play with everyone else. And the likelihood of someone making a new account just to smurf other players is very low.
As a veteran that prefers the 3.0-6.0 brackets, I do indeed try to bring 1, maybe 2 tanks and an aircraft into the match. Luckily the smurf problem isn't as bad in air RB, so I don't have to feel bad playing my Bf-109 E.
Lower tiers are more fun, I don’t know what to say. Also, it is way easier to grind events at lower tiers. I don’t know what the point of this video is. What do you want Gaijin to do about this? Not let people play the ranks below the one they have unlocked? There is no solution to this problem that wouldn’t be outrageous.
I get stomped at 9.0 because I don’t know how to use the tanks up their since I’m used to 6.7 and lower since they are fair to me. But I do find myself at 4.7 and 3.3 with my German line ups and can do very well. I find it fun down their since I like to grind and just enjoy the vehicles. I don’t complain about others doing something similar since I’m rank 80 having fun
I like to use the D-5 Stuka as fighter (favorite plane), sometimes it really can be a seal club as even veterans just aren't expecting what it can do let alone newbies.
Ok, I have to do this because the Halo music and when you said "one tank" "There was only one tank." "One? Are you sure?" "Yes. They called it the (insert tank)"
As a new player, the only issue with smurfing that i'm bothered by is crew skills, and maybe modifications to a lesser degree. The difference in skill is just an immersive element - it was common for hastily trained troops to face battle-hardened veterans and aces.
Also, if gaijin fixed their damn repair costs I bet a lot less people would be jumping to low tiers from time to time.

Sure it may sound like some kind of lie to cover up I'm a bad player and that may be true because I don't spawn kill and ruin other's games just for grinding. I've lost the count of how many times I pointed out players toxic behaviours and they just said something like "oh get good" or "you're just bad".
You mean my only way to make money stuck at 7.3-8.3? (Cries in unstsblized heavies vs stabilized apfsds gun runners)

Literally me when I see a guy with a full set of 3D gun decorations at a 1.3 match
Also, the problem with using levels to match up players is a little problematic.
For example, I mainly play aviation and have grinded out a majority of rank 4 for all nations except Italy however I rarely play ground despite my interest in the vehicles because of this exact issue
I’m currently level 80 with 75+ of those levels being achieved through aviation. So it would be putting an aviation main with little to no skill with ground against pros
i also was an aviation transplant and somebody suggested tying it to crew levels which would account for such an event.
@@jacobdewey2053 or separate the levels so I would be maybe “level 4, ground. 77 for aviation and 2 for naval”

Guys, clubbing seals is bad, spookston background footage-looks away suspiciously-
The thing is, I enjoy playing the older panzers because they're really cool
The game has so many meta changes, that its hard for me to say that someone is purely smurfing. Its plausible that a player doesnt want to play with stabilizers. Or NVDs. Or HEAT/APFSDS.
I went back to some lower tiers recently after unlocking my first 9.0 tank I was getting stomped into bankruptcy even with a decent 8.0-8/8.7 line up. But I wouldn't say I was smurfing I was researching my way higher for those other nations and trying to work out if I wanted to go higher with them or not. Any France players reckon I should get into that line up?
France is bankruptcy at 7-7.7 if you don't win all your games (assuming you also don't go 0-0-0-0 on all your tanks.) UK is also this way for 7.3-10.
to fix smurfing they should put all players in the match with a similar total hours played, for example 1k hours players with other 1-2k hours players, 300 hours with 200-400 hours and so on
It would have no sense. I played 3 different trees and i have max 5.7. Some peoplr with my same amount of hours played are at 8.0 or 9.0 woth one tree. How could we play together ? No way.
2:14 Sounds like they got the better end of the deal if you ask me lmao
Spookston: Keeps finding bugs and errors to be fixed for fair and fun gaming
Gaijin: I'm gonna pretend i didn't see that
Spookston: complaining about smurfing

Rest assured; When I am against the German or Finnish KV-1 when I'm playing rank II, it's gonna get my full attention, and get the satisfaction of killing it, and perhaps get a fanmail from them, to top it off.
The problem with the kv1B is the fact that it has very good armor in the front, but a really bad cannon for 4.0. Only 86mm of pen.
The armor
About the armor I can said that if the m10 player aim for the lower front plate, its a oneshot. From the side, even a m24 can oneshot you if he aim in the lower plate.
The cannon
The cannon can pen only 86mm, but the shells have the capacity to pen even with high angles, and the explosiv is enough to guarantee one shot one kill.

Oh shit
I.... I asked for this, thank you
Me and my brother are working out lineups for the big three. So in the last year or so whenever we’ve moved to the next country we would always have fun getting exceptionally more kills for a little bit each time. But we never stuck around longer than it took to move up in tanks.
You can´t stop me from sealclubbing in my Ha-Go, Indipendant and FCM-36. (insert evil laugh here!)
What do little blue people have to do with war thunder?
you should make level categories for example players with under lvl 30 will play with lvls under 30 and so on.
It’s not really a problem since the only thing you can loose is 1 game. Smurfing is a real issue in strictly competitive games. We have worse issues
My problem with this being restricted to levels is that players that play every once in a while (like myself) would gradually level up despite the skill level not entirely up to par as you'd expect from someone on the same level who plays constantly.
so true
im level 20 and i suck
Maybe then someone will come along and do a better job of it with an opening in the market.
thank you god so many people in the comments using smurfing incorrectly.
Can someone explain to me how does the referral link thing works?
@@uhh741 I'm not god, but you're welcome friend.

Bots in matches would be good giving them a higher br aswell so bot tiger vs early t34. Prevents bots just being annoying and easy kills whilst helping players learn how to deal with higher br tanks for when they face players in them
An early t-34 with short 75 would have an absolute horrid time dealing with a tiger barely enough pen to kill through the side turret
@@hobbobandits1986 but it is a bot tiger which is has bad aim, slow reaction, follows a set path and doesn't do tactical adjustments like angling or wiggling the turret (not really tactical i know) honestly it is an easy kill even for an inexperienced player
@@beep5406 sure if their gun has enough pen but they do not they would have to be side by side to the tiger
@@hobbobandits1986 mate a bot tiger is not hard to beat with an early t34 you dont have to be point blank you just can't point and click nor snipe it but guess what it can't snipe you its a bot and your moving so get 100m odd on its side and shoot it not hard. All i want is the bots to not be pointless targets that are no threat it might aswell take a bit of effort and present a danger to those not even tryinv to be useful.
@@beep5406 ok bud you suggest that have a target that is an ammo waster
If gaijin was smart they would make a beginner's only game mode for players with 24/48/72hrs played. After that or if they choose sooner, they can play with everyone else. And the likelihood of someone making a new account just to smurf other players is very low.
72 hours probably won't be enough..... That's what I feel... But yeh it's much better than just facing them the first time u click battle.....
@@yashjoshi7853 30 days sounds more resonable.
I gotta admit though…going in a low tier meme lineup after a day of grinding is fun
Ok, I have to do this because the Halo music and when you said "one tank"
"There was only one tank."
"One? Are you sure?"
"Yes. They called it the (insert tank)"
As a new player, the only issue with smurfing that i'm bothered by is crew skills, and maybe modifications to a lesser degree. The difference in skill is just an immersive element - it was common for hastily trained troops to face battle-hardened veterans and aces.
