    why do lamps say LED UV lamp? why isn't sold as one or the other? that's the confusing bit..

      I think they are trying to make money by confusing new buyers, it’s best to do research first:)

    Unfortunately the statement about LED lamps being healthier as they have "way way less UV rays" is not true at all. The amount of UV is similar. It has to be so that the gel cures. If a simple LED light was enough to cure the gel, why even buy the lamp and not use any LED in the house?

    • @TheNaturalNailGuru

      Regular nail polish will only dry with air so the only thing you can really do is use a fan that helps accelerate the process and nail polish drying sprays. A UV or LED lamp will only cure gel product

      Mz. Mercy such a good question I can’t believe I didn’t think of this earlier so I can include it in the video! When you see UVLED lamp You can just consider it an LED lamp all light has some type of ultraviolet rays LED light just delivers it in a different way as I mentioned in the video. 😉 thanks for the question good one!

    • @TheNaturalNailGuru
      @TheNaturalNailGuru  4 года назад +2

      Mz. Mercy hi! So I know I already responded to this but I forgot that I realized some gel brands advertise as UVLED that just means that they are able to cure and either type of lamp! I was just going through some comments and overlooked yours and remembered that I wanted to add to my initial response 😉

    • @fyingfish9370
      @fyingfish9370 2 года назад +3

      No led/uv light needed means = AIR DRY
      Those are normal nail polish that dry on their own

    • @TheNaturalNailGuru
      @TheNaturalNailGuru  4 года назад +4

      These days most gels cure with LED or UV. But definitely just make sure the GELS that you’re buying says cure in UV and LED. (Back in the day it was only UV but most of the companies have already updated that I rarely come across any product that does not cure in LED. ) And thank you so much for subscribing in your support I really do hope that the information I provide can help you whether you are a DIY-er or a professional. I’m still really new at this so I will be getting much more consistent and the quality of the video is getting much better! Thank you again 💚💚💚💅🏻

    Can you tell me what wattage nail gel lamp should I select because my hand keep allergy and itchy after using nail lamp pls help me and guide me which lamp is suitable for skin problems

    • @TheNaturalNailGuru
      @TheNaturalNailGuru  Год назад +1

      Hi! If your having an allergic reaction after a gel manicure it’s likely the gel product not the light. To my knowledge having an allergic reaction to an LED or UV light is extraordinarily rare and you would have similar reaction when exposed to sunlight or other artificial lights because they all have some amount of UV in it. And if that’s the case wattage would make little to no difference. Some lights might just cause a greater heat reaction when curing the gel polish but will rarely ever actually causes skin irritation that is almost always a result of the product and it is very possible to develop a gel allergy after years of using it.

      @@TheNaturalNailGuru thank you so much for your reply... how Do you think if I choose rcm products for my sensitive skin? And its low watt about 9w only. Does it help?

  • @jessicamartinez138
    @jessicamartinez138 Год назад

    How many watts should you need in the LED lamp?

    • @TheNaturalNailGuru
      @TheNaturalNailGuru  Год назад

      In my personal experience 35watts are more will give you a good cure. I’ve come to that conclusion because when I have tried nail lamps that are 9 W or 12 W the polish does not cure especially very pigmented colors like red. But every nail lamp I’ve use that works well and cures manicures for a long time of use. They always have 35 or 45 W but to be honest, I am not a scientist, so I really don’t know if that is what’s making the difference just something that I have observed and has not failed me😉I hope that was helpful!

    I have a 48 watt led lamp and I have some dnd polishes just bought how long should i cure each layer like foundation, polish, top coat? thank you so much

    • @TheNaturalNailGuru
      @TheNaturalNailGuru  4 года назад +2

      msmakeupdream usually LED will cure any gel polish basecoat at 10 seconds color coats and top coats at 30 seconds. I personally like to leave it a few seconds extra so I do about 15 seconds for the basecoat and 45 seconds for Color/topcoats . 48 wants is a really good wattage if you had something that was 9 W or significantly low like that I would definitely totally double it up and I’ll be going over wattage specifically with you guys and I’ll ED very soon 😉

    Which uv or led lamp do you recommend to purchase ?

    • @TheNaturalNailGuru
      @TheNaturalNailGuru  3 года назад +4

      It really depends on what it is that you’re looking for. If you really want best quality is going to last you the longest and something you won’t have to fuss with then I would recommend Kiara sky LED lamp you can get it on Amazon for $200 but it’s normally 250 bucks I know it’s a lot but the lamp is awesome and it will last you years. If you don’t need anything that serious or just starting off then I would go with any LED lamp with at least 35 W. You have lots of options on Amazon and should be able to get one for as little as about 50 bucks. Beetles Is a brand that I’ve already reviewed their LED lamp it is a great lamp I will be doing more reviews on lower and LED lamps that are more thorough so definitely stay tuned for that!

    • @TheNaturalNailGuru
      @TheNaturalNailGuru  4 года назад

      Depends on what you need and what you’re looking for. As a professional I recommend using an LED lamp to avoid issues with clients concerns using UV light as well as a big timesaver and five times longer lasting bulbs. And usually when it comes to cost you’re getting what you pay for cheaper price means cheaper quality in most cases.
