This is really useful. I’m 55 and never tried it. But I’ve just done a muscle up, so I’m going to give this a go! Please don’t tell me I’m too old! Haha
@@kolyacali4989 thanks so much for encouraging words. You are right, I don’t see age as a hurdle at all. I have big ambitions to crack some of these Calisthenics skill. 👍
Here in Brazil we use to describe people like you as "foda". It means like you are fucking awesome. Thanks for the great tutorial and as a big fan of yours i hope we can meet someday.
How did i not think to move my hands further appart 🤦♂️ also didn't know you were supposed to keep your arms straight, im pretty confident i will be able to do it the next time i will try it now!
2:55 from 45 degree flag into flag kicks is the equivalent of "draw two circles, then draw the rest of the f**king owl". I don't think there's any way to progress in that order and there's no way to build strength from only doing flag kicks.
Great tutorial! You're doing a good work by explaning everything :) We also did a human flag tutorial, with similar exercises actually, few months ago! 💪
You get made fun of by ruclips.net/video/qv4JlwfuijI/видео.html also. This video reeks of you being able to do a human flag without following this routine, and trying to reverse engineer a routine that doesn't work.
Thank you so much for this! I started calisthenics at the start of december and traning for everything. The human flag is the hardest I'm training for but now this tutorial has helped me so much and can't wait to get on it tomorrow. I thought it was going to take me sooooo long but now I can see this will help me so much!
Hi Simon, when you first start, to it a bit easier I assume, should your strong arm be on the top( meaning pulling arm on top?) or it doesn’t matter. Thanks ahead! By the way you’re superhuman!
Hello Simon, great tutorial as usual. May I ask in your opinion, which one is harder, human flag or front lever? Does Calisthenics have a degree of difficulty ranking in their exercise?
Front Lever is harder. I ve been training front lever for a while now and still cant hold a straddle fl for more than 2 seconds, started human flag training a week ago and i am able to hold a full flag for about 5 seconds on a pole. Just for comparison :) Hope this helps! And yes there is some kind of ranking like overcoming gravity and another one some guy made, search some reddits sure you will find it.
This guy has some of the best calisthenics tutorials on RUclips by quite a large margin. I hope he keeps making videos; it seems his output hasn't been very consistent over the years.
I did my first today!!!!! Posted it on @williamgone Thank you for the drill... I am using this from now one!!! Skip no steps!! I am 193cm and 184lbs!!! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you very much. Very clear instructions. I have been following you videos and you are so strong and your skills are beautiful to watch. I have one question. I have a question: if you a right handed person( your right hand is stronger) does it matter if your right arm should be in upper position (pull) or lower position ( push) or not? Any preference? Thanks
solid tutorial, full of actual progressions and not bullshit pre requisites that have little to no correlation with strength elements, which is a problem i see in a lot of tutorials. i got my first muscle up way before i could do 10 pull ups, also got a straddle planche before ever holding a >10 sec tuck lol.
These is the most detailed human flag tutorial in RUclips I have ever seen. It’s well explained how to proceed and train. I am sure I can do the human flag pretty soon with your help.
Thanks for the great tutorial. Got no pole at home to work out and with the gyms closed I'll just have to wait for the weather to improve so I can train for it outside. Would you say a vertical bar or 2 horizontal bars is easier for starters?
Great tutorial. I will definitely give this one a try. I have been doing calisthenics for a few years and the human flag is on the bucket list, but after the front lever. How long should it take to master this element ( I'm 6'8)?

No one‘s ever too old! ;) But congrats! You seem to be in the 1% not held back by the construct of age! Much respect! 💪🏼
