    • @kempie9901
      @kempie9901 5 лет назад +17

      Aaron Koch Tesla has a lot more to lose. Anyone can use their patents, but if they provide too much help, they could be open for lawsuits. People are money hungry, and would do that just because Tesla has money. I do appreciate Zero helping though. If people weren’t so hungry to sue Tesla, I bet they would provide much more help.

    Two weeks ago my local junkyard got its first EV, a Tesla. I got the motor, battery and associated wiring for $2650. EV sightings are like Bigfoot sightings up here, so the guy that owns the yard thinks they’re stupid and way under charged me. In any event the batteries are in fine shape , as is the motor, so a friend of mine and I are making an arduino based controller and since I own a machine shop I’ll be whipping up the hardware to put this messterpiece into my mullet machine 89 Camaro. zeros have a proper way at helping customers instead of craping on them like tesla cars do ripping people off who paid thousands of bucks to get their car to fast charge which was certified by a tesla garage only to have it turned off a few months later isn't that theft I have never seen a motor manufacturer apart from rolls Royce who treat people like that all they have to do is when it's certified by a tesla garage if its a rebuild is a sign here please we will not take any responsibility for the vehicle if it catches on fire or explodes or anything just like all the other motor manufactures do when they sell parts to people who build accident damaged cars like me I have never had any trouble rebuilding any petrol or electric cars except tesla cars which I won't touch because of the childish actions they take as a certified auto electrician and engineer i have rebuilt quite a few accidents damaged electric cars replaced motors you name it control boxes computers i phone up nissan i nead a new motor yes where do you want it will it effect my charging capability no sir we are not tesla that's the response i get from all of the other motor manufactures tesla cars need to grow up and be a proper motor manufacture all the way through as they do make some very good cars and are streets ahead of the competition with longevity and range they just have to stop nanying people like all the other motormanufactures do then they will be complete let people build there own your not going to stop them plus there are so many teslas written of just for a few body panels with no damage to the drive train or electrics and they still turn off fast charging to me it stealing once you have bought that car its yours and they should not have the right to turn anything off period all they have to do is send a update saying they no longer except any responsibility you press yes or no if no the motors are turned off or the fast charging its that simple and if its sold on it must be recorded like any rebuilt car is then tesla is free just like all the others the the owner can do what the hell they like to the car after that and tesla will not get any blame its all on the rebuilder.

    Six years ago I build an electric 1930 Model A. I used an AC50 (57 HP) motor direct coupled to a manual shift Powerglide with no torque converter. It had a pack of 38, CALB 130 AH Lithium cells, an ELCON charger and a 40 amp DC to DC converter to supply the 12 VDC for the lights. I even drove it in the rain with no problems. A LOT of fun.

So, can someone send an old Beetle Sand Buggy and another Zero Motor to the team of the Rich Rebuilds Squad? Got to see if they can make it happen twice on the conversions of unusual dimensions.
