I must say that this was a well-made biopic of Jackie Robinson and Chadwick Boseman, the young actor who portrayed him, proved that he has God-given talent and a bright future in the film industry. However, this film only lightly touched on the bigotry that the real Jackie Robinson had to face throughout his life and the hell he went through during his career. I guess the filmmakers didn't want to get too deep into that although it might have been a much better film if they did.

Republicans before the 1960s were left leaning (not liberals), but democrats were liked more than the south, who were conservatives. During the civil rights era, some democrat politicians began to side with the civil rights movement, causing civil rights leaders to favor democrats more. After a while, conservative democrats against the civil rights movement began to switch parties until the GOP became the Conservative party it is today. I understand if it’s too difficult for your half-baked brain to understand, but this is the truth and nothing but.
