Congratulations Wanda, what a great moment for Freddie, Benny, you and your family. Freddie influenced hundreds of fantastic players including, Peter Green, Eric Clapton and Billy Gibbons to name just a few. All of us guitar players owe him a great debt of gratitude.

Went to see Freddie King at the Ashgrove club on Melrose and La Cienega in LA when I was a teenager. I went with my Mom. Freddie was in rare form and played so many hits! He finally asked the audience what they wanted to hear, then all of sudden he walked off the stage (it was a small club) and over to my Mom and asked, " Little lady, what would you like to hear?" I was so excited!! I just couldn't believe what had just happened! When we got home, I asked her why do you think he singled you out, and she said she thought it was because we were the only black people that came to see him. Well, what ever the reason, I am now 65 years old, and it is an event I have never forgotten. RIP Freddie and my Mom.

Freddie has been around a lot longer than Stevie Ray Vaughan and Stevie no doubt learned a thing or two from Freddie. Anyway why mention Stevie here? Stevie Ray not being inducted has nothing to do with Freddie being inducted. Let Freddie have his well deserved thunder!

Stevie was already inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame, the Rock n Roll Hall of Fames has a real hard problem recognizing good talent...not shaming the past inductees but ones who have made great hits for years...Rush...just to name 1, I wouldnt put all my chips in a game you cant win in

Jim Fender it's a hall of fame , not always a hall of critical merit
Like the Grammies they have posthumous inductions like Freddie to present an illusion of credibility.
