Ive been looking at cardigan patterns for weeks and not found one that doesnt have tricky quirks for a beginner. I kept skipping over this one because itsaid "summer". Im glad I finally looked at it! This sweater can be made with any needle or any stitch or any yarn because its done by measurement not someone elses specifications. You just crochet until the measurement is right. It doesnt get any easier than that! And this one allows me to use the yarn on my shelf, not have to go out and buy something special. I cant imagine a better first sweater pattern. Thank you so much.

One night I decided to do a search for an easy crochet sweater. This was and still is the best one I have found. For my first sweater(ever),I made an oversized one for myself.I absolutely love it and have had a lot of compliments on it.Since then I have made 2 more for my nieces and a wrap using this pattern for my mom.I do have 1 more sweater to go and hope I can make more!Thank you so much for posting such an easy video to follow!

I’m crying tears of joy! I’ve looked at approximately seven videos on how to crochet a cardigan and all are beautiful patterns but, they don’t show in detail how to make the side panels. Your video is clear and concise. You show with your camera exactly how to and where to make the panels. Thank you much. I can finally make one.

What kind of yarn can we use? Here you used cotton, can we use like red heart super saver of the Bernat premium??? Thats pretty much all I use as I'm a new crocheter but this looks easy enough I could attempt it and I'm small so I'll just follow your pattern.
