Your presentation and video quality is amazing. After watching these videos, I think I'm going to tear down my Phantom and do a 450 frame build. I was hesitant because the stock ESC's looked awful, but with the mousepad and heatshrink move you did, I think I can clean it up to a point I'll be happy with it. Great video

Hey I got almost the same Quadcopter-Setup as you do. (only another distribution board and other ESCs) I got it on the weekend and took a first flight today. :) ... It's great! The KK2.0 board needs to be a tuned a bit better. I hope you do a guide for this too.
IPhone 4! Wow! Nice quality! I personally use a Canon T3i for my videos (Great Camera). Anyways I hope you can afford a T3i, it makes life easier with proper equipment.
Yeah, T3i is on my wish list. But, I also work on 2008 Macbook Pro which is not that great when it comes to video editing. So, first I need a new computer. When I buy new computer and T3i I'll completely revamp my videos and start some higher quality, more serious production. But until then I have a lot more to share with what I have - my good old iPhone and Macbook. :(
hi...my esc has deans male connector , what should i do now...and i have the wrong battery , i got battery for futuba , 3 jst male plugs :(, although i m getting new battery with XT 60 plug , please help me what should i do with my esc plug ?
Great video! I have a question; do you have to remove the power wire from 3 of the ESCs leaving one ESC to prower the flight control board or can all 4 ESCs have power wires attached? Thanks
Turnigy Accucel 6. Value for money is just awesome. Sure, there are better chargers out there, but if you are not a professional you have no need for anything better than this. Rather invest your money somewhere else. I know people how are over 10 years in this hobby and they would rather buy 10 of these than one 200$ charger. ;)
Thanks for pointing that out. English is not my first language so these kind of mistakes will happen, I guess. :( I am doing my best. I just hope everyone can understand what I'm talking about. :-P I will correct this later.
I haven't thought about it because it's not ideal setup for FPV (arms in the frame etc.). It wont be the lightest quad either. I have plans to make it awesome and unique in some other ways, you'll see. ;) I have plans to build something specifically for FPV application after I finish everything I've planed for this quad. I'll share everything so don't worry.. The best is still to come. :-P
Yeah, I know. The thing is that I want infinite white background. Now, my lighting sucks (couple of CFL bulbs) and I shoot with iPhone 4. :( You can imagine how well I can setup my exposure with this equipment. :-P Since I'm getting pretty good feedback, I'm planing to buy DSLR (T3i or something) and better lightning. Then I'll produce much better videos. But, you know, that is not free and I still have to buy all this RC stuff in order to make videos. So, one step at a time.
PGmining10 Power module goes in between the battery and PDB. So, you cut main power wires that goes to the PDB and solder power module in between. It has to be there to be able to measure the current.
Yes, better than on 3S. Reason for that is the fact that for the same power on higher voltage you will be drawing less current. AWG or wire cross section (wire thickness) is defined by the current. Thicker conductor can "survive" higher current flow.

Looking forward to this one.
BTW: Your videoquality is awsome!
Awesome process!!! How much weight approximately it will able lift (I mean in FPV issue)?
Thank you.
At "it's" best.
Great start.
No worries. It's one that many native speakers get wrong too!

You can do both. Removing wires from three ESC's is slightly more recommended, but you don't have to do it.
Thank you for answering my question :) Your videos have been very helpful!
Thanks man! Stay tuned, much better videos are coming soon! ;)

I have an apm 2.6 and have soldered my esc's onto my integrated pcb, however I have no idea where to solder on the power module any ideas?

excellent video.thanks!
1:30 how come the 14 awg wire has different diameters on the two ends (7mm vs 4mm)?
It's not different diameter. This indicates how much insulation I've removed.
Would this thickness in AWG be fine to run a 4s battery?
Yes, better than on 3S. Reason for that is the fact that for the same power on higher voltage you will be drawing less current. AWG or wire cross section (wire thickness) is defined by the current. Thicker conductor can "survive" higher current flow.
Great video, great editing, great work, but my only complaint is that the footage is over exposed :( Still enjoyed watching it though. Keep it up!
I'll do the guide, don't worry. ;)
Not really. Governor mode is generally not used in multi-rotors.
Could you be a bit more specific?
this is a bad set up
