Another great video. I just few my very similar Quad for the first time today. One thing I am going to change, based on my first flight, is to have the beeper (speaker) facing to the back of the quad, rather than the front. New fliers are likely to do a lot of their initial flying, Nose out, so the beeper will be facing away from them and harder to hear. My config is SK450, NTM 28-26 1200KV, Plush 30s and 8X4.5 SF props, so my Quad is very similar to yours and your videos have helped me a lot.
Excellent video. My bits and pieces are slowly arriving from HobbyKing, so I should be starting my build soon. Very many thanks for this brill series. Trevor
These videos are stunning, I am sure they will make a big difference when I come to put my kit together. 1) is it possible to connect each of the four 3-pin ESC cables without snipping or removing any of the +5v wires?
Thank you for your great response Stephen. It means a lot to me. 1. Yeah, I agree. This is because this list is created as I was purchasing these items and that heat shrink was purchased together so... 2. Great question. I would really like to, but I can't as of right know. My Plush ESC's are SiLabs chips (not ATMEGA) so I can't flash them with SimonK using USBasp. When I'll build my next multirotor I'll definitely buy F30A (or something) and make a video on how to flash them with SimonK.
I am going to start promoting these videos to other sites that need support. Your videos are easy to understand, informative & make people feel as though they can build quads! I sub'd & will start using your links to purchase what I need. Do you mess with Multi Wi?
KK2.1.5 Important note: There are TWO power buses... the 5v RX FCB bus that M1 is part of, and 5-6v servo/esc power bus M2-M8. M1 cannot take 6v and if on a wing or Tri motor using servos you really need to know this. There is actually quite a bit being left out that Steveis mentions in the KK2.1.5 manual you need to be aware of. See Appendix 1:powering the KK2.1.X
Just saw one of your videos for the first time & before it ended I've subbed! Very clean, well explained, well edited & extremely well thought out videos! I have a few suggestions though... 1st in the dropbox list link thing, the "Polyolefin Heat Shrink (4.0 & 6.0 mm)" should be 2 items. One for the 4mm & one for the 6mm, also put what color you used for each of them. 2nd Can you show viewers how to reprogram the ESC's with the SimonK firmware? If you don't know I can help you understand how to.
Well, I've invested a lot of time and effort in my quadcopter build series of videos. Please follow the entire series carefully and you should be able to set your quad up fairly easily. ;) Good luck and enjoy!
Nice vids dude, subbing and looking at building my first quad soon. Am i looking at getting the KK2.0 board and turnigy plush 25amo escs. will i need to program them still with the esc card tool?
Yes. But for a quad I recommend something with SimonK firmware like Afro ESC. That doesn't need any programming and they fly much much better that stock Plush ESCs.
However, interesting thing happened the other day. My friend bought Arduino for one some project and I've realised that you can use Arduino to reflash SiLabs chips with BLHeli firmware (which is basically the SimonK equivalent for SiLabs chips). So, some time in the future I will make how to video on flashing SiLabs using Arduino.
awesome videos. just wondering if you would suggest using a Q brain 4x 25A ESC with BEC here : hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=42715 seems like it would be much easier to wire...I am just confused about the BEC? where does it connect to on the board? do you have a wiring diagram for the whole setup, including battery, kk2.0, ESC, receiver, and motors?

Thank you very much. Not yet with Multi Wi, but yes with something else. You'll see very soon! ;)

When you are connecting the ESC to the KK.20 controlboard, is it the same wich esc it's connecting first? (from top to boottom i the controllboard)
ESC for motor 1 goes to M1 port on the KK board etc. Everything is labeled in the video.

eluminerRC ok cool, thanks dude, i will check out diff escs
how much did it cost. JUST THE PARTS FOR THE QUADCOPER. not the tools as i have all that
Thanks very much for the series, helped me a lot :-)
Thank you for watching! ;)
Hey im making a quad at the moment and i am so annoyed over it all i cant figure out my wiring
Try to follow my entire build series. Should be easy. ;) Good luck and don't give up! ;)

Why do your esc have only one cable
very useful videos.i really liked this video..

It's cool concept and it will reduce clutter. I didn't use it so I can't say anything about it.
