I am a 19 year old hvac installer. I have been in the trade for about a year and a half. I love it, and try to learn as much as I can. I absolutely LOVE your channel, you explain everything SO clearly, and i always learn something in every video. Thank you so so very much. I would love to meet you some day. I'm up in Jacksonville.
@@WilL-eo5cz haha wow no way, it’s quite surreal and nostalgic to see a decade old comment brought up! Since then, I did four years of apprenticeship, so I worked during the day and went to school two nights a week, then worked on a bachelor’s degree which I just completed a few days ago. In HVAC, I slowly climbed my way up from installation to maintenance, then service, then a mixture between sales and service. In the meantime, I learned everything from carpentry to plumbing to electrical, people skills, and much much more. While I ride around in the truck I study languages. I have been quite successful in the field, bought a home, traveled the world, bought a truck and I have two amazing kids. And now I am at another turning point in my life, about to slowly transition out of the trade. If you are not in the trade, I can not recommend highly enough that you get into it, work hard and learn, learn, learn. There are very few top tier techs in the field, so if you do this you will succeed. Let me know if you need any help.
@@Linguist95 wow that's awesome! Also , very inspiring. I recently obtained my EPA Universal and I am gaining lots of knowledge in HVAC-R and appliances but I just need to find someone to hire me as a helper so I can advance my skills and I am also learning Spanish as well . Thanks for the reply . It truly is an inspiration boost. Maybe sometime I'll come back to this comment section to ask you a question hahah
great video....best one so far..... can you also talk about different type of Fan motors and difference in HP like i have no idea what is the difference in 1/10 or 1/20 hp and some other ones....would love to know if we can use different motors for fan on different units or does it have to have to match 100%?
What’s the purpose of jumping the capacitor to the contactor? Or if you put a single capacitor you jump it from common on the dual cap to other single one?
Good explanation David. I also have 24v fan relay coil. Where doe the wiring for this hook up.Does part of the 24v thermostat wire connect to this? Thank You in advance.
I'm trying to learn what the Run Start and Common wires mean on a condenser fan motor and I also see they're on the compressor also. I don't understand what Start and Run mean.
Now for the 4 wire condenser fan motor with the 2 brown wires. Where do you put the 2 brown wires if you want to use the dual run capacitor that is already there and it has the right capacitance? Instead of adding a new single run capacitor for the fan motor.
Floyd R. Turbo floyd if the dual capacitor is what the fan is wanting all you do is eliminate the brown white wire and just hook up the solid brown wire on your dual capacitor
to leave the reversing wires exposed to solar damage would not be exceptable. put the exposed wires in a small section of pvc pipe, then tie wrap them under the grill.
I agree. The wires should not be left exposed to the sun. It looks unprofessional and is dangerous...…..maybe not right now, but the insulation will soon become brittle.
Where is "here too here"? I like the simplicity of your video. Just that you were very vague the whole video. Be more discriptive with your terminology
I agree that it is easy to tell which way the fan should run. My question is, which way is cw or ccw viewed? Looking into the shaft or looking away from the shaft. In other words, if Iook directly at the end of the shaft, which way is cw and which way is ccw?
Dude is good at making it very understandable

So now you're about a decade into the field . Do you still love it?

Thank God I found this guy because my fan motor was smoking like a campfire😬
I hope you find this video helpful...thanks for watching from Jones Air Conditioning & Electric in Naples, FL!
Sir , you are great help. Thanks a lot.
great explanation thanks for sharing david!!!
Great video the how to videos are very helpful.

HowTo Do it
Your welcome hope it helped. Thanks for watching.
new Subs here 😎👍🏼 good video
Thank you for watching...
this is a great presentation compared to the others you have done thanks
The rotation of the condenser fan motor is it when you look at the motor from the outside or when you faced the fan.
Thanks
Thanks for the video, very helpful.
Thanks for your video. Helped me unscrew my screw-up👍
Good morning a replacement motor i got came with four wires instead of 3 as on the original motor. Any suggestions on wiring it to the condenser.
Would you do a video on Rheem heat pump 2 ton condenser fan doesn't turn off and how to fix it.
Great video! Just replaced one today.

do both black and yellow/white wires go to T2? or black to T1 and yellow/white to T2? thanks

Hello
I recently replace the capacitor. The motor fan starts but after a 15 minute stop spinning. Any comments please
The motor is overheating and you are getting thermal shutdown......first sign that a motor is about to fail completely (the windings are toasted).
* phone rings unanswered all video *

Thank you brother
listen to what you said at :40/60 ? CCW/CCW

never leave the wires hanging out! Screams amateur and dangerous to children
, just look at the blade easy to tell what direction it should turn.
