Hey Steve, I feel your pain as far as that damb bush. People down here in Florida plant shrubery all around their pool equipment. Then when you have to replace a pool heat pump they get all butt hurt when you have to cut things out in order to remove the old and set the new. I've started telling people when I go to do estimates that they will lose a bush. We cut them flush to the ground so they eventually will grow back.
Dont you love it living on a busy street every two seconds you got to listen to noisy cars speeding by. Must be terrible to sit in the backyard and try and relax.Something I learned recently to avoid looking to move myself possibly,LOLL. Love Steves videos Anyhoo!,LOLL
I love how excited you got. When that fan blade come off the motor. The last one I did did not come off right at the edge it got caught. I started hammering it, and that was that. New blade You handled it like a pro, though. With the sand paper. And all that that's where I messed up probably. I figured I should have had one of those tools. But I didn't even do the sandpaper.👍👍
Steve you need to have a Dewalt 20v weed whacker in the truck. They are great. I stopped using a gas job a couple of years ago. One 5ah battery is all you will need. I would have a clause in my agreements about access so you can bill for clearing the crap that will interfere with work or the unit functioning properly.
My fan blades hit the side when starting up and slowing down but sounds good when running.Plan to take it off and listen to the motor. What size nut driver is the set screw on the fan? Thanks it saves a lot of time from looking for the correct socket.
How do you determine the cost to the customer of the motor ? Guessing you could have been carrying it on the truck for a while so you have your money invested in carrying inventory as well as the cost at the time of purchase
Strange Steve. I worked on a Goodman today. Did not have the black fan shroud. Had all kinda head pressure issues, among other problems a handyman created. I noticed though that the shroud was never installed. The screw holes in the top show no signs of screws ever being there as paint is not scratched up. Do some Goodmans come without the shroud?
@@stevenlavimoniere I get that. But you know as well as I do, handymen can do some wild repairs on ac’s. Appreciate the answer. I gotta get this figured out. I pulled and cleaned Evap coil, put a new charge in it and head pressure issue. Not a lot of air flow through the condenser and air coming out the sides of the condenser towards the top. May get an own fan motor and blade. Looks like they have been changed. Thx again.
I agree! I am a pool equipment repair contractor down in Central Florida. People put all kinds of crap around the equipment and it makes it so hard to work on things.
ive seen that before, you put that boost thing in for a compressor or fan thats on it's way out to give it more juice to start, probably just a secondary compacitor. i thought about it and decided against it.
Had a late supper so waited to watch my Lavimoniere Production while eating. Thanks Steven!
My Carrier condenser lasted almost 28 years baby! Goodman is great equipment.
Thats a mouthful

Can't stop a goodman steve.
Yeah you can. Turn it off Bahahaha…!
Great video Steve. I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but I don't at all miss that diesel motor during the intros. 😂

Nice Fix!
Another awesome video Steve, remain safe and keep the video's coming ☝️ 💥💯👌👍
Nice video, Steve. Are your knees giving out on you from all these years working? Mine are shot.
my knees are fine ... buy lately i have been using a kneeling pad just to save my knees i have no issues as of yet
Need to carry a set of pruning shears in your tool bag, give them bushes a little trim! 😉
Hello Steve!

I don't know how he does it, but companies usually have a standard markup percentage.
Have you looked into this more since commenting? From what I’ve seen it’s 20-30% markup on cost of material plus labor.

some do not have a shroud ..why would someone take the shroud off dont make any sense

Someday people will stop burying their AC units in shrubs or building fences around them, so you can actually not struggle to service them 🤦🤦

Steven, really dropping the F Bomb Today 👍😂😂😂
Hell of a place for a condenser
Nice work
Steve,I never saw you using impact driver for the bolt and screws.
❤

Steve lav you're a brut!
Howdy Steve and Molly
How much should that cost to replace? Just the fan motor, not labor.
I've been pissed offed by a bush, thanks!
I would trim all that out so Steve could do his job. I would have that whole area cleaned right out.
Seems 5 uf is a common size for motors.
Never thought of wearing suspenders crossed like that. Suppose it works better for those of us with bellies. :). Thanks.
Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again y’all. 👍👍
I think Goodman may be the best bang for the buck. I don’t see you condemn many goodmans unless they burn out
Sounds like You need a Chainsaw or some Hedge Clippers too.
Like you would ever say "The Ultimate Guide" LOL
"F'ing bushes p'ssing me off." My wife is a devout Christian and is always overhearing me say stuff like that. I'm in good company.
lets hope she is not a Pharisee like in the old testament
It might be a Leaka Momma too.
Im unsure why Steve pulled the ground off…
THE WHOLE MOTOR IS GROUNDED THROUGH CONDENSER EXTRA WIRE IS NOT NEEDED
Goodman mama
Being a C-Brat! Let's keep the language Disney Mamma. Btw, why do you wear gloves? Thanks 4 video. Thanks for another day!
"I got one in the truck..."

Kroil !!
It's jungle warfare mama.
You need a machete
5KCP39CGT447S ANYbody know of a compatible fan motor
That poor condenser was clogged up! Looked like dog hair fuzz.
Third comment
no, it's hard to stop a goodman chasing a trane!!!
I hear ya, bushes poking you is so infuriating.
