I wouldve put a zip tie to bunch the wires up and feed it through. Then get the needle nose and grab the zip tie to pull the rest out. 👍 Nice vid.

I love the feedback and I'm going to try that on the next Motor. Thanks for watching Diego 👍

Thanks for this video. It's a great walkthrough. Where does the other end of the ground wire connect? I see where you put it on top of the motor, but I can't tell where the other end is.

Your very welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. It goes to the inside of the motor housing, that's why I don't see it being necessary. (Just comes from the wire harness from the motor as a visual stand point)

@@VictorofHVAC thanks for the reply! I read several discussions on Reddit and an HVAC discussion board, and I saw another video like yours where several people said the ground wire could be removed entirely if the mount was metal on metal. That was the case for my system, so I just took the whole thing off.

I will cut the old wires right at the old motor, and then tape new wires to them and pull through. If I forget I will use a longer panduet strap and use that to tape to and pull wires threw.

I did a universal motor today on 99 model Lemnos unit, called for a 1/4 HP 1075 RPM motor, I installed a Century Universal 1/3-1/6 Motor, said it pulls 2.1 A but the one I installed is over heating and pulling 2.5 Amps and it has a new 7.5 Cap. Any ideas? I’m not a big fan of universal motors but that was my only option to get them going. Now it’s acting up again lol

I've had motors come bad out the box. (universal and oem) assuming the condenser Coil is clean and the new 7.5 cap is actually putting out 7.5mfd , I would verify the wiring and if the the wiring is correct, I would just replace the universal with another and warrant it out.
