    Great video my friend! Will do this on my uncle's WR426 soon! It's never a bad idea to check the valves again after 1 ride. That's when they usually seat and sometimes you'll end up having to do it again! Thanks man

    Brilliant Albe. I have a 2009 Yamaha WR250F. Not sure if there's shims in it or another system? I've never done this and don't wish to give my bike to the dealers to fix the these kind of stuff like this. (To expensive). But this helped allot in future events if i get a older bike or need to do the same on my 2009? I don't think i need to check my valve service in my bike yet, but i still watched tho whole review for educational purpose. :o) Did not understand the math behind the gap how to calculate the increase or decrease of the shims, but i guess I'll have to watch that particular part again or a couple of time to be able to get the math right. Very detailed explanations as always Albe. Love your work. Keep it up, and keep it coming. Sending blessings.

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  3 года назад +1

      Thanks Shahid, the math is easier than it seems, you just use a thicker shim to decrease the gap and a thinner shim to increase the gap

      No, thank YOU! For taking your time and sharing. Oh, yeah, that makes a lot of sense. It's getting late over here. (02:30 in the morning). Heads not functioning correctly at this hour. Thanks a bunch once again for the explanation A. Looking forward to future "how to do" uploads.

    0 .10mm - .15mm and 0.20mm - 0.25mm, why not aim for 0.22 or.023? You went for 0.15 and0.20, is that just because of the sizes of gauges and shims available? I'm buying the tools tomorrow, so I want to get it right. Such as, is the lower end of the rage more accurate?

    • @AlbesADV

      The piston comes up twice, compression and exhaust, the lobes should be outward at TDC , but the piston is also up with the lobes inward, if you keep rotating you should get, piston up and lobes outward, also the markings should be visible thru the inspection port
