I have used odoo during my job, software works pretty well but also needs a user friendly UI for the employees to help them adapt it faster and error-free. Software serves it’s purpose well however it used to be a little laggy and once we had a software breakdown and it stopped working completely, support team was helpless and started to ignore our calls, this took about a week to recover and start functioning again.
Zoho is affordable, better and cheaper than other competitors, I have used odoo as well, I liked both. But zoho has better looking interface and odoo looks dated
Man, have you even used zoho crm. I found it a nightmare. Different parts have different uxes and it's generally looks like a mishmash of stuff without consistent ui. The support is equally clueless about their software. I'm Indian, and want zoho to succeed, but at this point in time, they are nowhere close with many other crm providers

Man... Tally is definitely not the OLD software as you mentioned. It's the most convenient, simple to use and updated software I have ever got my hands on. For MSMEs in India, simple yet powerful softwares like Tally are best option.
As long as he is really providing good technology and does invest in india and help indian tech industry employed win-win is good as win-win also helps stable growth..

Odoo used to be good when it was called Tiny ERP, it was somewhat yet Good when it became OpenERP, and then when it became Odoo, it all went heywire, Something which meant to be opensource (As per their own initial offering and claim that it will remain opensource), it became something else
Erp Next is better than Odoo. Erp Next is designed for Indian Business and Odoo is designed for foreign businesses. More than that Erp Next is free. I too have used Odoo. Odoo founder has to redesign and rebuild his software for Indian Business (specially in expect of gst) to even get a chance here😉.
Nothing works like tally..after all it's the oldest player in the market and understands Indian market better.. please don't take it wrong, but SAP burnt themselves and so the others as well being all foreign mindset companies.. India has a very good market but Indians are really best mindful people, they invest really wisely in software and technology. It's really tough to sell them something which is half baked.
The European can come to India for understanding the market and Indians can't go to Europe to understand their market? Getting a visa for Europe is so difficult. How is this fair.
Odoo has a difficult learning curve. Takes a lot of time to learn and needs external help. But Zoho in my opinion (opinion limited to books and crm) is wayyyy better than odoo despite being slightly expensive than odoo

Odoo is worst the interface sucks, they try to make it simple but they hide most of the important options also, the customisation like Shopify is not with it. Most of the time the website editor stops and all the customised things got reset.
Worst software of the year, user experience is suck, unexpected things happen look like a inexperienced junior developers or a college student build as a final year project, UX is suck I tried its and each and every second my headache increasing and finally I logout. UX is totally sucked .
