Does it feel at all strange doing VATSIM in the same position as your 'real' job? Also, how on earth do you get used to hearing speech through microphones as fuzzy as some of the pilots'? I'd need at least two repeats before being sure of what to respond!
Out of curiosity, were you Heathrow Director at around 1800z? I was flying in and the phraseology used was pretty much identical to yours. Specifically, approach don't usually refer to "follow the glideslope once established" but rather resort to something along the lines of "cleared ILS 27L". Thanks.
Ah awesome to see my arrival from the other side. Glad to hear youre having as much fun as the pilots. Cheers
Thank you!
Awesome work and videos!!! Are you sometimes controlling Manchester or Center/Radar in the area?
Thank you! I'm afraid that I tend to stick mostly to what I know at Heathrow!

I started at about 1820z on the final director (120.400) - what was your callsign? I can find out!
@@ClarkyAv It was VCP4LC, you will remember me (if it were you) as it was a CONC haha
@@lcre0002 Ahh I think that you arrived just before I got online!
@@ClarkyAv By 1830z I was on the ground with engines off. Close enough :) Good day sir!
EGLL app director uses exactly the same phrases in real life as he did in this video
