- In this video we install everything to do with the door. Door glass, vent window, division bar, window regulator, door handles, door stop and door felts. This is on the 1952 Ford F1 field find truck.
You can't imagine how much this time this saved me on my 52 F1! Thanks for doing it.
Thanks fro walking through all this. My 52 F6 thanks you too.
Glad to have help you James
Hello. wanted to thank you for lots of help with my 51 F1. your videos on door windows & locks, vent windows, wiper motor and windshield install was VERY helpful.
Were glad you guys are liking it.
Great instructural video
I just finished installing all the glass in a 49. The doorglass belt strips took almost as much time as the doorglass installation.
I haven't done one of these in my shop for 25 to 30 years. Thanks for clearing up how to get the doorglass into position. You made it look easy!
It took several tries to make it look easy. Easy is not easy.
@@pennyshotrodscustoms The first one took 1 1/2 hours, the second one a 1/2 hour
Good video 👌 Henry would be proud 👍🇨🇦🇺🇸
Thank you Rick.
Excellent!! Thanks
Thanks for watching Jose.

Great job. This little truck is turning out super nice.
It may be one of our best jobs to date.
Thank you for this video. You make it look so easy. I have been trying to get the nerve up to finish my doors but with this video it will help for sure with all the minor changes you had to do.
Thank you for watching Doug glad to have helped.
So if I cancel my subscription now, I get paid in February? Tell you the truth guys I would PAY you!!! You guys are the best and Kevin is a national treasure! Go Penny's!!!😆😆😆

Thank you again Glenn. Kevin the national treasure? We are in trouble then.
Thanks for the video. Ill be doing this job in the near future.
Its lots of fun
Hi Guys , great informative video ...just telling it like it is . Don't want to be negative but to those folks who could build it better and do it faster and cheaper good luck to you . Keep up the great work !
Thank you Greg. This one we just wanted to be informative and let people know some of the tricks we figured out.
Nice!
Thank you.
Looks good
Thank you David.
Having to binge watch a few episodes a night to catch up to what you guys have gotten done! WOW Truck is looking AWESOME! Doing a great job! Looks like I got alot more videos to catch up on yet!
Thank you actually fired it up yesterday and took it for a short drive that video will be up tomorrow.
@@pennyshotrodscustoms well I guess I gotta get on it and watch a few more! Not gonna cheat and skip to the end! LOL
It is called an escution, not eschelon.
Cool series on this truck for sure. You fellers have plans for that old panel Van, milk truck / ice cream truck / work van? lol It was a cool van at any rate :-)
Not at the moment. We do plan to work on the Vega wagon and a Pontiac that we have not shown yet and maybe one of the 2 door wagons this summer.
look good your window scraper looks like it shoud of went in before the glass
I thought so also, but I did a little research before putting the glass in and it helps when putting the glass in to have a little more wiggle room without the scrapers in.
Kevin the tuba player. You know what they say...😂
Whats that James
I am working on a 1950 F-1 and have found your videos very helpful. Did you do a segment on hanging the doors? I am having fits trying to align my doors. I had drilled alignment holes thru the hinge, door jam and nut plates before disassembling the doors, but they don't seem to be too helpful. Any input would be appreciated.
I do not think we filmed that. Our nut plates were rusted bad and we broke most of the hinge bolts in them, so we made our own. I think we tightened the hinge bolts just a little and kept trying to fit them until we got it good enough.
"Ok ill be on my best behavior " yeah right like I think you can actually do that LMAO
Think your right David thank you for watching
I am in the process of fixing up a 51, question on the door weather stripping. Did you guys glue them and use the clips or just clips to hold them on? If glue, what kind?
Btw, this video helped me tremendously to get my windows in. Thanks soo much
@@crmath011 we just used a window weather adhesive and let it set up and it worked out great. Glad we can help Christa hows your truck coming along.
@@pennyshotrodscustoms slow but its coming lol
@@crmath011 Nothing happens over night Christa
Nice ride man! Check out the 52' panel truck I got on my page. Gotta love that year ya know. Cheers
Will do Jay.👍👍
@@pennyshotrodscustoms I took the bumper off and put fog lights where the bumper inlets would go. Ha, Cheers Guys! Love watching this build.
@@jaymckay4086 Thank you Jay keep up the great work.
Would you by any chance know what size that bolt is that screws into the door handle from the edge of the door, cant find one anywhere
Hi Charlie i will get Chris to take a look tomorrow for you.
is there a video of the door rubber install?
I don’t think so sorry
any chance you can tell me the make and size of the screws you replaced for the mechanism? with covid lockdown we just cant go in the stores and figure it out. thanks Doug
Ill ask Chris he should remember Doug how is your truck coming along.
@@pennyshotrodscustoms coming great working on my windows thank God for you video. Send me an email and I will shoot you some pictures. tifdesignstudio@gmail.com
will do im sure the truck will be out at my place this weekend.
Great video overall. However I came here to get more info on the locking cylinder and it looks like you guys forgot about installing it.
We have it still need to get a key made for it were talking about that last week.
Felt wipes in before glass might make it easier on installing felts? Buy 4 piece prong clips. The three piece prong clips suck.
I did not know they had 4 prong clips.
real hot rods have 3 peddles:}
They should yes.
So you guys didn't get pizza, but it did sound like you guys ate Mexican
We eventually got Kevin to buy us some pizza for working on his truck. Kevin may have had the Mexican one.
@@pennyshotrodscustoms 😂 that's great
It seems like the difficulties encountered were related to poor quality reproduction parts. Is Dennis Carpenter the only game in town?
not really we have bought from other places before but have had luck with Dennis Carpenter in the past.
I thought you said this was a family friendly video? Can't say the F word if so. Edit. Enjoy guys
It slipped Chuck were trying to get better.
Horrible camera man!
