    Interesting ideas:
    1. Talk to myself like a parent/child relationship.
    2. I am are in relationship till death with current me and past me.
    3. Have a visible picture of a past me I hated and listen/write down what I don't like about myself and what I wanted in order to trigger and release.
    4. Recultivate a respectful and nurturing relationship. Would I say this to my kid?

Thanks for this. I've had pretty bad social anxiety most of my life and I finally found the cause. It was my dad. He was pretty physically and emotionally abusive mainly traits learned from his own childhood cause my grandparents were like that to him. Anywans, I just pretty much grew up afraid of him and had a hard time talking to him and that feeling started to expand to other people, mainly authority figures like teachers, managers etc. I missed a lot of opportunities especially in college and its mainly all because of that. I'm 27 now, its slowly starting to get better and I've made lots of progress. I feel like finding the root cause is important in undertanding and overcoming

This might be a hot take but I was taking notes from this video and when I was done my take on it was:
Fulfilment is something you access by allowing yourself to have it/feel it - it's not something you have to get in order to have, because there will always be something more to be wanted if I can put it like that. Its better just to access it, allow it and carry it around into everything that you do - That way you can be goal oriented and the fulfillment is a state of being rather than a state of getting - the fulfilment is in the pursuit of the goal - not in the goal.

Anxiety is such a bitch to deal with, I totally understand her.
Your teachings have been super helpful to me so far. It's a pretty long process that takes serious dedication and awareness, but I do feel an improvement so far. Sometimes I still get triggered and things aren't always easy. I think my biggest ''thing'' about my anxiety is, that in those moments where I know I'm being seen and I'm feeling happy, I'm not sure what to do with these positive experiences, as I've never truly experienced them before and then I fall back into anxiety mode again because it's a ''safe'' default mode. When I get triggered, I do however say to my younger self: ''It's okay to feel the way you do, I understand you. I got you, just as you got me and helped me survive, now it's my turn to keep you safe, you don't have to be afraid anymore''
So, I've learned to be more compassionate, loving and understanding towards my younger self. All I want to learn now, is how to embrace and manifest my current self and learning how to deal with being seen and actually allowing myself to be happy. Do you think I'm on the right path here? Any advice or daily practices?
Either way, thank you so much Julien! You're a great dude!

This triggered me, I started crying. I know I have lots to go through as a child, lots trauma. So I started yesterday, going through each memory that always pops up (burying), each time I'm critical of someone (projection), using humour (to deflect), when I start thinking things like travel, money, etc thinking thats' going to solve everything. I'm also noticing my son, as I know our children take on some of these traits unfortunatly as well, so I'm watching him to see whats going on inside. And its a lot, I'm not going to lie, but even just going in the little bit already, I can notice a change in my temperment and the way I'm thinking. Like I'm not thinking the same. SO thank you. I'm going to watch all your videos.

I think more of us than we would like to admit can relate to this exact kind of issues. I really feel her. I can relate to hating younger me as well. She is obviously very kind and geunine, big props for expressing her feelings so well.
The way I overcame the hate of younger me was to understand that I had no choice of being that way given the life I had; it was also useful to remember there were also things I was proud of in my youth, and the past stupidity things were necessary to go in the more self-aware me of today.
As she kind of said, you can rarely succeed if you don't fail first on the road to your goals.
As for not hating your current self upon failing, try to allow yourself to do some, take note of each mistake you find and try to improve on this point; you can't do better than that so accept this as the plateau of anyone including yourself. Even trying to be the best version of you is already pretty respectable.
As for feeling fulfilled, well, I would say sometimes it's also what pushes you to do more things. But it's true we have to more frequently acknowledge and enjoy what we already have during the process, to make our life bearable.

I don’t fear rejection in relation to other things but only when I’m uncomfortable or anxious. I love been alone I just don’t like people not accepting my feelings of anxiety. I think that is what my problem is I want people to accept that I feel anxious which is basically approval. And another thing is be careful of the people who we surround ourselves with as there are a lot of people who only love us when we are a certain way

The concept of always chasing fulfillment through goals is something I felt so much my whole life. Your statement that you run out of excuses when you achieve "success" rings so true and I think is the main reason for what people describe as a "midlife crisis". It's the thought, "I should be happy now, what's wrong with me?" and you start looking for new excuses or things that can provide you with happiness. Thank you so much for what you're doing to help people, and while I wish I had discovered this concept years ago, I'm thankful to understand it now. Living in the present and experiencing fulfillment where you are right now is such a powerful thing.

I have anxiety too. But don’t put labels on yourself. Don’t say you’re anxious, because that will only make it worse. What I do is I accept the anxiety, sometimes I’m shivering, I can’t breathe properly, but I don’t overthink it, I just let it be. By time my anxiety got less extreme. I hope this helps.

He has everyone think about the worst why not visualize the best and move into it. ? Our brain will focus on what we give it. This has worked all my life. Acknowledge your fears but focus on positive change look for solutions vs feeling helpless. We are all equally powerful. We are capable of so much more when we are accepted included by a group. That is what the real magic of this experience is about if you ask me. Support of the room. It compensates for whatever he does. All due respect, I don’t like people who think they are experts. We hold all the answers inside us. Some of what he says is helpful some is weird. Believe in yourself and respect others. Attract what you focus on. Have compassion. Anxiety is normal it means you are thinking. Breathe, exercise. We have learned movement helps the brain. Sitting in front of a screen for endless hours isn’t healthy Your brain needs movement. Eat more fiber and green leafy vegetables. Be grateful. Love

Watch other children. Talk with them. Let them inspire you.
      Jesus said Become like children.
That’s the only way to fulfilment and happiness. Be like a child.

I went to an event in Seattle this weekend. I follow Julian but not Jeffie or Owen two speakers @ the event. I had to leave because they were so contradictory and had some of the most terrible advice. It was sad. I'm very surprised that Julian aligns himself with those people.

@JulienHimself I hate my shyness so much that if I had a son like me I would abandon him. How do I fix it if the self-hatred is so strong?

That’s what my mom’s doing. She’s 73 now and I only heard few days ago from herself, that she was very shy. But she got so angry with us or her grandchildren, if they were afraid or didn’t want to do something because of being shy.
It was such an eye opener!
She simply rejected her own inner child when she did that.

Anyone got any good tips on how to step on the gas for the whole anger thing ?
I figured out some stuff for grief (sad songs) and fear (horror games/movies), but I'm kinda stuck on how to get anger going.
It's really frustrating to feel it kinda close to the surface, but not being able to coax some of it out. (And before someone says frustration is anger, it is not the same as this excess shit inside, that feels fake in comparison)

Sometimes if you punch something (like a punching bag or even a pillow..) it helps get anger out. It gets the blood flowing. Even yelling out as you do it "yahh!" (Or whatever sounds you wanna make) helps too.

Find a place to scream at the top of your lungs. Make it a growl like scream. Give it some bass. If anger is there, it'll come up. Anger a lot of the times is felt in the chest, temples, and jaw. These places will be good indicators for you. Hope this helps. 😊

Julien bro, I had had a blighted childhood. Now I am completely alone. But solitary self that I have I don't hate. I love writing, playing guitar, sports, and ya smoking. Golden Virginia in an wooden pipe. I don't want money. But my worst part is I feel needy of love. I want to be Loved flesh and blood. This makes me sad and suicidal. That's why probably I smoke incessantly.

I will be writing a letter shortly to point out all the hilarious advice that was devoid of spirituality even though Owen was touting that he was a Christian. Meanwhile calling people f****** idiots and using cheap tricks. The amount of times he told us about all the celebrities he knows and how much money he had... It was hilarious. He kept saying he was saving the world. I didn't see that in any form. Which is sad because he really could make a good impact if you wanted to.
