What are your thoughts on the Evercade Alpha BarTop Arcades? Also - what questions do you want us to ask Evercade on Super GameRoom Dudes tomorrow? Let me know below!
I think this is really cool. I know someone who built a mini system like this using his Evercade, and I'm sure he's not the only one. I think these are a great option to have.
I want HDMI out. This would make it function like an Evercade VS with the form factor of a bartop. Should be on there given the asking price. That being said, i am excited for this product. The Mega Man version looks amazing!
New product is great news for all the arcade community. IMO, this is a good start. I personally would love to see a small form factor cabinet matching aspect ratio and screen size to the original arcades. You nailed it, it needs an HDMI out.
Questions for SGRD 1) What type of panel is the display? 2) Are the joysticks quality regular size sticks on both revisions? 3) Will a stand be available? 4) What are the specs, processor, RAM, storage, OS, etc 5) Is HDMI out available? 6) What is the MSRP and typical US shipping?
This was a fantastic announcement, I'm really excited for this, have a load of Evercade carts so the ability to use them in the bar tops is a game changer. Only thing I would like to see would be an HDMI out, its not stated anywhere so assuming they're not going to have one, but would be nice to maybe confirm that with them if possible?
@@PDubsArcadeLoft aww man, that’s bit of a miss, cheers for doing that and letting us know. It’s still a very cool product and I’m pretty sure next week I’ll be preordering one
I am glad these exist so that arcade channels like yours will bring attention to the Evercade ecosystem. I agree that it's a big miss to not have am HDMI out or at least a mini HDMI out. Hopefully we'll see more arcade carts.
Hey buddy! I actually just watched your video and subbed to your channel! Since this is an ‘arcade’ related product I do find it interesting and worth talking about.
Now if they were able to add online capability that would set it apart… Having the ability to use the evercade carts is key tho… Can’t wait to see it in action … hdmi out would be nice too …
@@PDubsArcadeLoft oof what a blunder. So eco system wise I'm just suppose to play on that tiny 8 inch screen? Might as well just buy the vs, and this pretty much solidified that
Awesome new product. This seems like a great reason to jump into the evercade ecosystem. The HDMI would be nice to output to a larger screen. Do you know what kind of controllers the non-deluxe bartop will have?
this was extremely tempting, but a lack of HDMI definitely killed it for me. I mean I already own capcom arcade stadium on switch so I'm not missing out on much, but having the evercade functionality with the ability to play the other collections in their lineup with arcade controls would be cool.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft No doubt! Because it isn't like A1UP isn't going to come out with the Alpha Series. But even then I personally see enough room for everyone to be able to Eat. No one company can rule an entire Market, and even when they do, they always drag their feet on advancement because of no competition. Business can be so Ironic sometimes 😂
Personally HDMI out would add unnecessary costs. It has its own screen so doesnt need on. The VS will still be there for connection to TVs and capture devices. The new EXP-R dropped the HDMI out as not many people used it.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft but if wanting a larger tv and to stream wouldn't a VS with an arcade stick and a large TV to play on be more beneficial in that respect?
The fact they have a head phone jack, two cart slots for more games, usb controller slots.... Take my money! Evercade is impressing me unlike Arcade 1UP. No offense....
At $250-290 PLUS shipping, this makes no sense in a market where you can get a 3/4-scale Capcom Yoga Flame Arcade1Up with a 17" monitor for only $299 at Walmart. Evercade should have gone full-scale... these are good titles at a bad value and wrong size.
Just my thoughts but I think they are too small. I personally would like to see a cabinet size version of this. The cart idea seems cool. reminds me of atgames
Only will be excited when I see Rare games added. Otherwise no point in getting the same thing over and over again. Street Fighter Alpha 3 is Great! but again a game I can easily get. Port some New Arcade Stuff!
@@PDubsArcadeLoft Pdubs, I’m sure other Aussies have said it to you, we miss out on a lot of these things. I would have dropped coin immediately on NFL Blitz, but…nadda. Still on the fence about these. I hate mini arcades. Gimme 3/4 scale at least. But, that Megaman one looks very cool. I feel like the second i pre-order one, they'll announce larger ones with 4 slots, lol
As a man with deposits on NWT Zoltar, Golden Tee and Black Hole and Quarter Arcades Zookeeper, Elevator Action and Qix along with CGC Pulp Fiction LE, I'm thrilled to report no compulsion to get in on this. Hallelujah!
i do think these are cool, but i have an evercade vs AND handheld already,,, so any money i spend with evercade, it will be on more cartridges. but yeah, the cartridge slots are cool!
Wish it was a bit bigger. Reminds of that horrific Visco unit by Unico that came out recently. The cart reader is a good idea, however we’ve seen that those carts are essentially a giant scam internally and won’t last the test of time.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft I think it's the discovery that the carts are essentially SD cards that will fail. There are reports of carts failing already, sometimes after updates. Blaze have been replacing them but the fear is that they won't have the lifespan of carts from the 80s and 90s. Maybe they should call it NotQuiteForEvercade.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft Yep. They’re just volatile memory inside. They’ll last ten years at most. So the entire marketing around them being collectible is a giant scam. Just emulate.
Just a cartridge countercade, very cool that they got the Alpha series though, I hope they end up going the 3/4 scale route. We need some competition for Arcade1up. Give 1up a reason to up their game!

the powkiddy a13 costs only 110$ has also multiplayer ability, is compact and most important for such portable arcades= a Battery! why this mini arcade has no battery! make it big without battery or make it small compact with a battery! but not small compact without multiplayer! even hdmi to tv offers the powkiddy a13 for multiplayer on biggerscreen and has still arcade controls for player 1, even evercade controller compatible... there are so many poor decisions again its really hard to love evercade with all this mistakes, i am still unhappy about the decision from taking the singleplayer ps1 version instead of the coop multiplayer version for the 40 winks game and now this unfinished mini arcade, atleast the name "alpha" fits for this alphaversion.
PDubs, These are cool, for sure, but I think there's a big miss here. I think it would've been cooler to see a Gyruss or Mad Planets Edition. I get that those games aren't on these systems, but man they would look cooler... Ok, just kidding. Though I think these are cool, after buying WAY TOO MANY countercades from Arcade1Up, they're just too small for me to want to play on, because of my larger 3/4 scale machines. Now, of course, the Arcade1Up ones I have are completely garbage when it comes to their displays, that's one reason I don't like to play on them, but the other reason is the too tight spacing on the controls. I just don't find playing comfortable. Now if 3/4 scale machines didn't exist, countercades would've been cooler to me, especially the larger sized ones Arcade1Up first came out with, but a little too late for me. However, for Evercade enthusiasts and people who love gaming on countercades, I think this is the best iteration of the niche yet! I JUST WISH, Capcom would allow Evercade to make cartridges with their games on them, because even if these were 3/4 scale machines, I'd want to play a larger library of Capcom games on them. Sure, I'd be buying a ton of Evercade carts to play other games as well, but if the Evercade Alpha wanted to compete with my Big Blue Arcade1Up, I'd want to see 30 to 50 Capcom games available, including the 3 Darkstalkers games I keep my Big Blue for. Evercade is nailing it for their fans and I'll be curious if they consider doing a 3/4 scale Arcade machine in the future. Having the ability to add more games to a machine, rather than having to buy more machines to get more games, is my preferred way to upgrade my Home Arcade. I'm going to be extra picky when deciding on any new cabinet. Cheers! vgv
