It's 1.16 am I cannot sleep, I need to be up at 6.20am for work but I dont care now ive seen that wonderful performance, Hell I will proberbly sleep like a baby. SP Forever.
James Iha is the reason I started playing guitar. Billy helped that too, but I always loved the ambient style James added and his unique chord voicings.
When you watch the very early work of this band, its hard to see how they arrive at this level of brilliance in really a few short years. This is a work of beauty and complexity light years away from where they started, almost orchestral and classical, true genius. Maybe Billy made a deal at the crossroads.
It's seven years or more. The beatles whole catalog was done in that time (which is insane, not comparing obv) but same as the beatles (well whether ur thrown into fame or not) there's a lot of changing going on for anyone between 21 and 28. Still amazing tho.
God! This version is unbelievably magical....I can't fathom the amount of talent personally and professionally every one of the bandmembers must possess to manifest like this.....holy ghost....goosebumps
i cant stop watching this, it's an amazing song but that solo was breathtaking. it's almost sad that this has so few views, yet all the 'artists' with media hype surrounding them after covering someone elses song or just their own poor attempt at music, get millions of views. its unfair becuase they have very little talent
im in the same boat. that middle interlude part with the ebow/fernandes sustainer harmonic duet gets me everytime. ive probably watched this specific video 50 times now.
@ryuuchan07 The EBow or ebow (brand name for "Electronic Bow" or Energy Bow) (often spelled E-bow in common usage)[1] is a hand-held, battery-powered electronic device for playing the electric guitar, invented by Greg Heet in 1969
I think with this bigger band they probably they probably had extensive rehearsals before the tour and extensive sound checks prly just cuz there's so many players you gotta be on point. The whole tour sounds this good from what I've seen and heard
This is a song I shall never forget. I saw them live at Pinkpop in NL in 1998 and I lost my friend in the crowd I had come with. It's terrifying to be 16 and lose your friend who went with you and whose house you are staying at. I walked home after this performance I was so ashamed and scared. In my mind the whole time was ringing 'You're gonna walk on home. You're gonna walk alone. sh sh sh sh sh shame' and I got there to his parents house and Blur was on and he was who knows where. I felt bad but I couldn't find him Before cell phones :-/ :) Great great album
@@jesusmartinezcruz3543 It was a large festival day, we were together most of the day, saw Deftones, Eagle Eye Cherry, 16 Horsepower and more, then when it was pumpkins time (reason I came) I got so excited I just kinda kept pushing up to the front to see them and forgot all about him until most of the way through the set. Afterwards I tried to find him but i couldnt! I was like a moth to the stage at that age :D
@mitchskates420 I SP is still great, people can say what they want to but I think they're still putting out some great music. I can't wait to hear Lonely Is The Name, I hope they do an electric version and an acoustic version.
so mtv cut out bullet, let me give the world to you, thru the eyes of ruby, and the transmission cover, for whatever reason. total bummer. if theres any proshoots of LMGTWTY from 98 or 99, someone please link me.

Bilbao Museum is such a beautiful scene with wonderful acoustic 🌹 This live is one of the best of Adore era 🖤🤍❤️
James radiates pure cool here. Love that cat. Glad he made his peace with Billy and is on board for the magical mystical ongoing show.
James is the best hes absolutely the chilliest dude

My favourite song off this album!
The Smashing Pumpkins put most other bands to sh, sh, sh, shame

this song, especially this version, rips my heart out... thank you SP
That guitar solo from Billy is pouring emotion.
This concert was epic! Must be available on CD.
I have a dvd of the whole thing
Love the juxtaposition of the airy tra la la piano and the menacing guitar sounds here. Very cool, very well done and what a venue!
Love Spain. Ti amo Araceli. Hope you were at this show. Cristobal 1987 memories in old Madrid.
This is pure brilliance....
Shame has always been one of my favourite Smashing Pumpkins songs. This version with its great audio is so beautiful. Thank you for uploading it.
Best version
Great track. Always makes me sad and happy at the same time.

wow that old. thats pretty cool . hes wrong though bc it also works with acoustics.
It will vibrate any string but an acoustic is more difficult.
It is battery powered…the battery creates a magnetic field that makes the string move
sabes que nos hiciste llorar 😭☹️😟
Love this song.
OMG where did the years go??! Go SP!!!
so beautiful!
Piece of art!
Best song!
Love is good love is mine. Favorite version

Billy and James should have continued with the jaguar+tele combination instead of strat+lespaul
Yaa its true.i also realize bout this thing too cos for me those both guitars sound are much better when they together
I liked his Gretsch stuff on Machina, James Iha...

Cool live recording, though you can't hear the bass guitar at all. Is a bummer as its a huge part of this song

there is even one song (1979) played in the future, amazing what quantums can do these days :)
3:53 gorgeous
How does Billy score that guitar tone? Someone please help!
Anybody know what iha uses for his drone sounds? A straight vibrator? I have a drone thing but it's really tentative I don't like it that much
He’s using an ebow in this video
@dnvlgm
That's a Sha Sha Sha Shame
Is the song number 9...
RIP Dan Moris
is it possible that you could upload the little excerpts of what the band members said in between the songs?
Dedicated to Hutch
