- The Moody Blues performing on VH1's "Hard Rock Live" on June 29, 1998 at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City.
Setlist:
I'm Just a Singer (In a Rock 'N Roll Band)
Nights in White Satin
Question
Ride My See-Saw
I sure love me some moodys. Lòve there voices and Justins writing. There is no better band. 💕
John's lead song and Bass guitar, Justin's harmonies, great lead guitar and Greame's loud heart beat going through Singer in a Rock and Roll Band then Justin Hayward sings Nights in White Satin in full crescendo with Ray's melodious flute whilst Greame gently tapping those cymbals, what a show...ending with a surly crashing of rythm guitars and the melodious lyrical voice of Justin Hayward's legendary Question, and then to Ride My See-Saw with great lead guitar harmonies and drums, who could ask for more. The Moody Blues music will live on forever 🎶🎵🎵💙
Nobody better. Greatest band of all time
Justin and John both still touring with their own bands, both still quite magnificent and unequalled.
R I P Ray and Graeme
Their music is timeless.
Wonderful! Real Music That Will Stand The Test Of Time. Thank You!
Best singer and guitarist. If you like knights listen too Broken vows
Great song. 🎸💖🙏😘
Magic happens when fate and the stars align. The Moodies are a testament to that.
Very powerful and energetic performance, wow! Maybe one of the best live-gig of the Moodies I've seen...
They all look so energetic and
handsome, can't wait to see
Justin in May.
such a song, at that age, such a lyrics, a masterpiece,... Often when a genius gives it at so young age only ashes remain. Fortunately Justin Hayward did it multiple Times...
Their words were so timeless and ahead of their time composing in the sixties! Such depth so spiritual
The Moodys are just Great!!!!
I was there.♥️
Gordy's lost a fair bit of hair now and silver these days but after 25 years touring with them is still paying tributes with his band "Go Now" !!😊❣️
Damn good for guys in their middle fifties at the time
I didn't realize two drummers. They're still great.
The other guy is the real driving force at that point. Graeme was pretty much there as a token. I saw them several times like this and he was just stop playing and start again whenever he wanted. That's why it's a shame they're not willing to go on without him. He really hadn't contributed in a long time as it was.
❤
This is a stunning performance. Beautifully sung and played.
old school sorry in my dreams in eyes sorry
@coconut grove ?
😃
Think Justin was better looking in his 40’s and 50’s
love the old shit of the time sorry
Wickedly sexy, not meaning to be!
Wonderful but greatly missing the genius of Mike Pinder!
There is too much Ray Thomas on this mix.
There is never enough Ray Thomas in the mix. He has the richest singing voice in the band, and the only flute!
