WOW! I saw this in the PLAY GROUND, it's really cool and safe for the kids.
Never boring flooring uses rubcore and deck looks great
Put this on the list of things I will hire someone for.
This is my job. I've gone to a couple DIY jobs after the homeowner wasn't happy with their own work. Yes, you can make quite a mess out of this.
@@92clintonr what's the cost per square foot for a pool deck.
@@marlonquintana3466
Depends what sort of prep is required. Anywhere from $10-$11.50 a square foot. I'm in Canada though so that works out to about $8-$9 US if you're in the states.
@@92clintonr thank you for that information! It's so difficult to get a straight answer sometimes. You're a great man.
@@92clintonr send me your # pls
I had a friend years ago who did this on playgrounds commercially. Does this clean up with water as his did or is another method used?
It looks great what would that cost a bag
So i was just wondering once this product is laid what is the expectant life of the product? During summer here we regularly reach temperatures in the 40+ degrees celsius range so how hot would the rubber compound get and would the rubber compound survive those temperatures?
You can do it!
What product would you recommend to rejuvenate the rubber decking?
I love it that is cool!!!
did you use fiberglass?
Good Luck is right!
I’ve seen this product on my neighbors garage floor, looks great. I’m taking the leap and doing my cracked concrete pool deck this summer.
Let us know how it goes, looks like an interesting product.
Did you ever follow through on resealing your pool deck with the rubber depot product?
I want someone in Canada to do mine!
@@chrisarena3090 wondering same thing
I’ve had my pool deck , 1000 sq.ft, covered with rubber decking and after 5 yrs, it still looks like new. Best move I ever made.
Anyone seeing this please prime your deck and don't use WD-40, buy xylene for your trowels not to stick to the rubber. Btw this guy is great trowler
Why pour the stuff for the can to the bucket and the bucket onto the rubber why not just pour it straight onto the rubber in the wheelbarrow?
I think they also poured a harderner into the bucket but didn't show it.
My guess is for a more accurate measurement.
I guess you paid for the bucket....might as well use it!....lol
Because your dragging grass and dirt onto the primer that is super sticky
looks awsome
What are the Directions to go around the Pool Rails and Drain ?
So the expansion joints in the concrete are no longer needed??? He just covered right over them.
i can imagint that its hot to walk on??
what is the name of the adhesive material?
Que material é esse?muito bem feito..parabéns pelo capricho!!

hi eli
I would die of old age by the time I finished...
Can u do this with rubber mulch
I used to install rubber for a living not easy I done decks on Disney ships not for homeowner you have to be real good with a trowel done right will last a long time
Why not just pour straight to the rubber from can?
hello, can i use the glue on pebbles too?
I had this done by a contractor, long story short it lasted 1+ season and we used the pool mostly on weekends when weather was good. Complete waste of money. Very dissatisfied 👎😥💲🏊♀️
Complete waste of money- doesn’t last at all!
What is the best DIY way to remove this rubber? I have a pool deck with the old style stained rubber and it has all turned black and leaves bare feet completely black. Please help!!!
you don't want that.
I wonder how long this will last.
Our home had this professionally installed 34 years ago. The pool area was covered over with carpet 10 years ago but the front of the garage and back deck are just NOW needing to be replaced. We actually have an INDOOR version in our kitchen that is still beautiful!
what's the materials? EPDM granules and PU binder?
+Summer Kou EPDM and Polyurethan
where are you guys from? why poor the liquid into a bucket first then into the wheelbarrow, wouldn't it save a step as well as residual buy going from can to wheelbarrow? wouldn't it be much easier to use a concrete hoe rather than a spade shovel?
squacher Our binder ships out in 5 gal and 1 gal pails, therefore it was necessary to supply a measurement systems to ensure our clients have accurate measurements. Most people have a shovel and wheel barrow on hand, this is why it is shown in our video. BUT a hoe would work as well. Thank you for your comments.

Damn this looks like it would take 8 years to do just mixing a small amount each time.
Im thinking more like 16 years
Lol
It took him 6 years just to do that one square
@@inevitableexpertise1016 that guy knows how to do rubber buddy you better believe that
Why would you pour the urethane from it’s metal paint can to a 5 gallon bucket and then dump that immediately into the wheelbarrow where you mix it in with the rubber granules? That makes NO SENSE! Dump the urethane from the paint can directly into the wheelbarrow.
Looks like it's going to be more WD40 than rubber. That small can won't last long

Please do a video on removing it. I bought a house 6 years ago and I liked the rubber deck because we have a pile of grand kids and I have a bad back. Four years ago I began to hate it.. Keeping it clean is IMPOSSIBLE and now the RED is burning through to the BLACK inside.. So the BLACK is leaving everyone's feet black and when anyone goes into the pool they make black foot prints everywhere inside our white pool!!!! So PLEASE tell me how to remove this stuff so we can enjoy our pool and deck once again...
Steve 1961P. Hello Steve, Unfortunately the company who installed your surface used recycled Rubber with a colored binder. We do not recommend this type of rubber for around pools due to the very reason you have mentioned. Our Rubber Is 100% EPDM, and is mixed with a clear binder. The color is UV stable and will not come off.
So how can I easily remove it???
i agree 100% this is a learned skill that's hard enough with more forgiving materials.having 30 to 60 minutes is misleading.if it isn't dry in 30 does that mean i have 31?Diy if you're a pro otherwise good luck! you're going to need it
I guess check a corner with a knife, Find the depth and using the depth gauge, Maybe run a circular saw across the surface in a grid pattern, And then a sharpen putty knife to lift up the squares, You have got a job on there !
Your fucked and not in a good way where you have a cigarette and go back to sleep🤦♀️🤽♀️🤽♂️🚬🛏💤
In a hurry u forgot the water ...oops shouldn't it be empty ...even if we don't see water we would still like it.
omg 175 sq ft costs $1300
Susie Clark Uh...if that's the cost, then FOOK that
Jeremy Pate Jeremy the cost per sq.ft. is $ 4.95 plus shipping.
not to mention poly-urethane is susceptible to cracking and UV damage. making it break down resulting in that rubber garbage tracking into the pool--what that is , is a 1300 dollar spreading of goose shit that will cost even more to remove

thats alot of rubber to use......
right Good luck
isnt rubber hot in the sun!
Joshua s.--yes it does get warm--VERY warm--BUT we had an area the size of 650 sq ft poured at a school playground for special needs kids--we quickly forgot how hot it was when a child fell on it and all they received was the equivalent of a small rug burn--NO broken bones or major issues!--This stuff is great for playgrounds and honestly any area where kids are--and you need total fall protection!--being in maintenance dept--we had to water daily al of our trees--and yes we did lose a few in spite of our watering--But it was worth it to keep the children safe
