@@billvinsmoke3498 actually there skin (or hide) is so tough it can take a machete head on and not be scratched, it also can take arrows, knives,(edit: can also take small caliber bullets) and the skin is super baggy so its super hard for animals to bite through to a organ. So I would say

I worked at Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison, Wisconsin. 2 fun facts: 1) Bucky Badger (UW Mascot) is female and frequently will escape her enclosure and quietly follow security guards at night. 2) she is very tame and won’t hurt you so please don’t kick her if she does follow you.

Am I the only one who thinks it's hilarious that the honey badger's IUCN classification is "least concern"?
For such 'small' creatures that's quite intelligent they're pretty fierce. Intelligence usually correlated with "scaling and running away if the odds are overwhelming". But hey, honey badgers don't care!
They're not fast, so running isn't exactly a simple option.
They'll fight until their opponent tires and then run when they have a chance. It's a strategical, intelligent choice.
If it can outrun you, it will. It runs from humans...in areas where it has encountered humans long enough.
Like, a water buffalo will turn and fight lions and survive. It's when it panics and runs that the buffalo gets taken down.
The fact is, chances are never overwhelming for honey badgers :p
