What a great tribute to two Great Artists. My favorite tenor is Mario Lanza. A GOD given voice. I have all of his original albums. And who doesn't love Elvis??? Both left us too early. God rest their souls.

Technically, Elvis wasn't an only child where Mario was. Even though Elvis' twin was stillborn, he was still Elvis' brother. It would be more correct to say they grew up in a household of only one child.
Good point! It would have been a more accurate statement to say “raised as an only child.” I don’t want to forget about Jesse Garon, you're correct he was still a member of the family. Thanks for the comment.
Mario had a #1 pop hit called Be My Love in 1950: the first single to reach 1 million in sales and this while his movie The Great Caruso was a huge success in theaters. Amazing talent!
I am correcting this reply. It is the actress Tallulah Bankhead, NOT Hedda Hopper, that is from my state of Alabama. I realized my mistake a short time after I posted this. Tallullah came from a prestigious family and her brothers were elected to state offices and federal, I believe.

I remember Tallulah Bankhead from an episode of I love Lucy. Although I haven’t researched her career, I believe she was good friends of Lucy & Desi Arnaz. Now I have to look to see if Hedda was friends with her.

But I could not find information on him taking lessons as a young child. It also seems , every time I’m in Philly, his museum is closed. But I do appreciate your comment.

Elvis has a twin brother named Jesses and two more brothers. Elvis is alive and has a channel on telegram called Bob Joyce is Elvis. Find out the truth.
