U have just went down the rabbit hole of the GLORIOUS Mario Lanza! I have all 8 of his films & he is the GREATEST Tenor to ever live! And this is coming from someone who adores the 3 tenors! He was their hero, to all 3 & they even resoundingly admit he was even greater than Caruso, who was also just lovely! I highly recommend watching the Great Caruso, played by Mario. He was Mario's personal hero as well. U will LOVE it! 🥰
I have been a member of the mario lanza institute, in phil, and the new york society of mario lanza now for more then 30 years, and was best friends with marios son damon, who sadly passed away some years ago. just so you know out there, pavrotti, domingo and carreras, all said they use to watch marios movies, and he truly inspired them to become opera singers, also there is a letter from enrico caruso jr, thanking mario lanza, for portraying the life story of the great caruso (his father}, because in some cases he excelled! there will never be another tenor, like mario lanza, thats for sure! mario sang with so much feeling, and emotion!, he could make you actually make you feel the song he was singing! god bless you and your family, in heaven. love is a good thing!!!!!, and love conquers all!!! never forget that. all the best Louie Vaccaro, tenor, las vegas

One of the first movies I ever saw was "The Student Prince" where Mario Lanza's voice was used for the star. I absolutely love hearing him sing!

My mom and dad loved his voice, movies, and records. Luciano Pavarotti also admitted that he was influenced by Mario.
Sadly, Mario passed away at a young 38 years old. It was said that either the night prior or that morning, the nurses at the hospital he was at heard Mario singing, and it was beautiful. Then, sometime later, he passed away.
R.I.P Mario... Hollywood didn't treat you as well, but you gave us a lasting impression. Thank you, sir.
