Great showcase. Just to note, LoreRim actually has difficulty sliders that are a bit different from vanilla. Novice is great for people brand-new to Requiem. This is a great showcase man. Highlights the things I'm always curious about. I will say that the amount of enemies added by most mod list is sometimes overkill to me. Only because how the combat works. It does encourage actually bringing someone with you especially magic users.
Oof, the arrow trajectory showing like that takes all skill out of archery. Nothing more satisfying than estimating the arrow drop and getting a sick headshot from 100 meters away.
Thank you for the showcase! Off the cuff, Lorerim looks quite balanced compared to some Requiem versions I've played - taking out a dragon priest, and later a dragon with orcish gear would not have been as straightforward (or even possible) in those versions. I'm glad for that - I love Requiem but build variety suffers in consequence, and Lorerim seems to have gotten the difficulty right.
Just a tip : If you don't release left click when trying to do the bow dodge shot, the arrow will not gain air time and thus falling straight down after being shot
This video is a great help to someone new to Requiem. I downloaded Lorerim 2.0 and really liked the overall modlist but learning how to manage combat in Requiem made me put it down. I'll start up a new character now. This gives me a progression path.
Great showcase. I'm curious to see your modlist when you're done. Lorerim is eye wateringly beautiful and gnawingly challenging. Can't wait to try it out when I move to pc. Makes modding on XBox rather disappointing 😂
Modlist looks neat. The idea that I can't start to engage with the main quest until I'm level 50+ with the bleak falls barrow re work seems . . . tedious at best.
You definitely don't need to be that high of a level to start the main quest, 50 was about where I ended my playthrough in Requiem last time I played it. Level 20 is plenty.
I killed the dragon priest with no companions at level 9 on my nord 2-handed build. I have no prior experience with requiem or other hardcore modpacks. If you use what the game gives you any fight is possible with the lethality changes. I drank skooma, a fortify 2 handed potion, poison of dmg magicka, and ice wraith essence and power attack chained him to death in like 5-10 seconds. The dragon you fight afterword is level 80 and I killed him in just a few tries as well just after. Don't give up the modpack is very fun and rewarding. I would recommend turning damage scaling down on both sides to like 80% or lower if you feel like it's too hardcore. Doesn't compromise the experience at all.
