My husband has flown thousands of hours with his now 8-9 yr old Titanium skyhawk which had never let him down. But, the crown is suddenly missing and he doesn't remember bumping it on anything, he's been super bummed..SO, i did some research on an upgraded/dated model (but it MUST be titanium) and chose this one after seeing your lovely review. After a few Omega, Sinn watches I did buy a Citizen blue Angels version and I have to say I love the watch so much dance of course as a pilot I'm able to handle it. Absolutely superb.
I bought this same exact watch to replace a gen 1 Titanium Skyhawk I bought in 2002. I also have my eye on the new model however, I too am waiting for the titanium version to come out. I really favor the Titanium watches for their weight, durability and corrosion resistance. Thanks for sharing.
I have the Blue Angels version of this watch and I love it. I did feel a bit guilty spending so much on a watch but I think it's worth it. I don't like the new version though. I love the case but what they did with the dial is a bit too much for my taste. The watch is already so busy so to make it even more so is not my taste but that's just me. It's a killer timepiece non the less.
Overall I like the watch. I've owned it for a few years now. One complaint is the orange paint on the bezel was extremely cheap. I banged it lightly in the cockpit and it chipped. I looked closer and rubbed it a little bit and the rest of the orange paint just rubbed off. So I decided to make it uniform and used my finger nail to easily scrape the rest of the orange paint off. Super disappointed with that one minor detail. Other than that I really like the light weight titanium, sapphire crystal, and functionality. I bought the original model as a Marine Aviator about 12 years ago and flew with it for thousands of hours. I was always impressed with the impeccable atomic time keeping. To-the-milisecond accuracy that always was synced to my onboard GPS time in my fighter.
With this watch, once you set the time zone that you wish to set it on the digital screen, press the top and bottom button at the same time, and that will sinc your analog hands automatically to the time zone
I had a black one favorite watch ever. Grandson broke the crystal & wife had it in her purse to get repaired & lost it. Sucks can't afford another one right now
Great review. I just checked the Citizen website and for some reason, I don't see the titanium blue angels version of this watch, unfortunately. I wonder if it has been permanently discontinued. Can anyone provide me any clarification on that? It would be appreciated, thank you. Also, I'm just curious, isn't Denver 2 hours earlier/behind New York? So if it is 12:13 in Denver, wouldn't it be 2:13 in New York, not 3:13?

I’ve owned this one and now have the same timepiece in black. Can’t be happier with it. Been with citizen for decades now and won’t deviate
