If I understand correctly, she wasn't pruned because she was a girl, but because she a Loki playing with the Valkyrie dolls. Lokis are meant to be bad and she wanted to be good like the Valkyries.
love that they did this too, she was told she was adopted & not Asgardian so she knew she wouldn't get the throne & the Valkyries are great female role models so she was inspired to become a noble warrior instead.
Well, Loki had said (in Thor 3) that he used to be a Valkyrie fan as a kid until he found out that only women could join. So the fact that she was a girl and could have joined them, thus significantly changing her destiny, would have been the issue. So it's kind of both.

I love using the skeleton as who is "talking", totally vogued the theme song with you all! XD I believe the theory is that Sylvie saw herself as a hero (a Valkyrie) and therefore wasn't headed towards the "loser/villain" path.
I feel like the whole timeline branch bombing is probably how the multiversal war started in the first place. It looked really similar to what He Who Remains showed Loki and Sylvie. 🤔
Did you spot the music playing when Loki approaches Sylvie in McDonald's and just before she leaves at the end of the episode through a Time Door was the track Lokius?
8:12 so true idk Tom is just a naturally attractive person like the way he walks, talks, stands and sits UGHHHH been obsessed with him since second grade 😭😭😭
Every timeline is its own universe. So every time they prune a timeline, they just killed billions upon billions of people who will never exist in that universe ever again. So if they prune you in universe 617 that was a unique version/ variant of yourself that is now wiped from existence.
Mobius explained that time works differently in the TVA and loki said in ep 2 of last season that he's been there "weeks? Months?" He can't even tell anymore. So it's been way longer than just a couple of days since he got to the TVA from his perspective.
You two were the first to acknowledge that pruning the branches won't do jack, because they will just keep forming. Pruning will at best buy some time, but is it really worth the mass genocide?
pretty sure their goal was to bring back the sacred timeline and start pruning new branches as they pop up again but before they could start they had to blow up all the branches that have already sprouted
I need to get me a friend who hypes me as much as Jaylin hypes Enya 😂 But fr Enya predicting Loki's Avengers rage story seconds before he said it was the most hilarious fucking thing 😂 When Loki went to find Sylvie and asked about what he saw in the future, he was asking if she had any plans, or if she knew why she *would* be there. He didn't expect her to know the future 😂And yeah, she was mad at him for the same reason they fought at the end of season 1: because he tried to stop her from killing He Who Remains, who was taking away her freedom. Branches would keep forming, but they were already forming the whole time. That was the TVA's job, to prune branches as they began to form. Dox was just trying to bomb all the new branches that formed and grew "out of control" since they'd stopped pruning them, to reset everything so they could go back to just pruning one at a time as they started forming. When they bomb a timeline, everyone on it is erased from existence. New timeline branches might form, but those are different people, different variants. Think of it like in No Way Home: both Andrew Garfield and Toby Macguire are Peter Parker. They're variants of each other from different branches. If you prune Toby's branch, Toby dies, even though Andrew is still alive. You've still killed Toby and everyone on his timeline. I never thought about the TVA's own branches before; that's an interesting idea. Maybe there *is* a branch of the TVA where Miss Minutes is more helpful.
This was an intriguing episode. Loki Season 2's set design is outstanding. The cinematography in this episode was superb. OB and Casey's talk was entertaining. After watching this episode, I was hungry for McDonald's. Miss Minutes and Ravonna Renslayer have formed an unbeatable alliance. Loki's interrogation of Brad Wolfe/X-5 was fantastic. Brad Wolfe was an actor who played the comic book serial killer Zaniac; nevertheless, he was eventually surpassed by the real Zaniac, a demonic monster from the Dark Dimension. I expect to discover more about Mobius' past before he was abducted by the TVA this season. In The Automat, I particularly appreciate Loki and Mobius' chat. I noticed Sylvie was wearing He Who Remains' TemPads. X-5/Wolfe is confronted by a reporter during the premiere of Zaniac! about rumors that he is dating Bridgette Bardot. Bardot was a well-known French model, singer, and actress from the 1950s until the 1970s. This entails duplication casting, bursts of green magical energy, and numerous illusions that slow "Brad Wolfe" down. Loki, on the other hand, traps X-5 in an alleyway using his own shadows, a stunning new power that perfectly compliments the God of Mischief. Loki also admits that after his scepter and the psyche Stone failed to corrupt Iron Man's psyche in Avengers, he threw Tony Stark out the window out of rage: it wasn't a tactical move. In Loki season 1, unlike the MCU's original Loki, this new Loki was shown what his life may have been like. This would include his role in Frigga's death if he hadn't been a variant who deviated from the Sacred Timeline. Following the poster for Kingo, another poster for the film Phone Ranger is shown. Phone Ranger is a very obscure hero in the original comics. Real name A.G Bell (a play on the phone's inventor), Bell was a telephone repairman who discovered alien technology, granting him access to all communication equipment on the planet. While he briefly fought crime as the Phone Ranger, Bell has only appeared three times in the Marvel Comics universe (1985, 2006, and 2019).
I understand Sylvie's anger. Loki betrayed their mission at the end, and she hasn't seen anything that would suggest she was wrong. She doesn't know that HWR was telling the truth. All she's seen is more of the TVA killing more people. And she killed Kang once, why wouldn't she believe she can do it as many times as it takes?
Because she's supposed to be an adult not a petulant child. Her behavior isn't "understandable" from an adult's point of view. She tried things her way and there's obviously still a major issue going on. Her way didn't work. It's time to listen for at least 5 minutes instead of continuing doing the same shit over and over.
The most disappointing thing about this episode was that we only got 7.5 seconds of Hunter B-15's _stunning_ 1977 movie premier outfit. How sure are we that the recording was between Renslayer and HWR? He said "Renslayer" sure, but he could have been another Kang. This would explain why Renslayer's mind was wiped (HWR defeated that Kang and reset his girlfriend). It's a little weird that OB thought his temporal aura would open the blast doors, he said only the person who built it would be able to which suggests that he thought he built it. Also, it was B-15's assumption that HWR built it and OB went along with that, but its not necessarily true. What if someone else built the TVA and HWR took it over, and transferred some of their memories into OB so he could maintain it? What if it was Renslayer? This would _also_ explain why Renslayer's mind was wiped (HWR wanted to have total control so he got rid of the person who constructed it). What if Miss Minutes is the _rest_ of Renslayer's original personality?
I share your feelings towards sylvie 💯. All I'm gonna say. Anyway, besides that, this episode and your reaction was great! Loved the return of Loki's villainous side.
It's great to come back to this session.👍💚💚❤ And I think that the branches could only do so if some of them. But, this would make the collapse imminent, because it would sabotage it.😆🥶🥶😱
I agree that Sylvie doesn't know the future. However, from Loki's perspective, Sylvie could have been planning something that would require her to go to the TVA. However, the real plot hole that no one seems to be talking about from episode 1, is that supposedly Loki pruning himself would remove him from time and stop him from time slipping. But, Loki was pruned at the end of episode 4 of season 1. He should have been removed from time at that point. Mobius was pruned in that same episode. He isn't time slipping. Maybe this will get resolved in some later episode, but for now it is a plot hole.
@@joshuagaither4866 I don't know. She seems to be an expert with it now. Clearly she went to 1982 in her same outfit that she killed He Who Remains in. If she's an expert with it now, she was an expert when she sent Loki back to the TVA.
I wouldn't say it's a plot hole as much as it just wasn't explained well. It was clearly tuned to Loki, it wasn't going to pull anyone else out, and they wanted to pull out the Loki that was time-slipping, so OB would have tuned it to Loki at that point in his personal timeline.

Perhaps that is why we saw the future Sylvie in the elevator. I am enjoying the series and hope the MCU can continue with this level of entertainment.
