Their games are so special and stand out with their innovative gameplay. They make FUN games that then other studios with the fancy graphics go and imitate. Nintendo has always been fearless with their playfulness. The Wii created so many new gamers simply because Nintendo is out to create accessible gaming and fun memories for entire families. (Brian’s story with his 5-year-old daughter absolutely touched my heart, btw! A powerful loving memory brought to you by Nintendo creating those kind of games). Those other systems can learn a thing or two. /endrant

BotW is just too special to me to ever be unseated as the better of the two. It was an all time gaming experience for me. It truly made me feel like 11 year old me stepping out into the rain for the first time in A Link to the Past. That can only happen once.
Fire Emblem 3 Houses, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Paper Mario the Origami King are my three favorites.

My initial thought on the what if question - Bungie never sack off Halo!
In this order: Fire Emblem 3 Houses; Splatoon 2/3; Mario Odyssey; BotW; then Xenoblade 2 or Metroid Dread or Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Smash would be up there if the online wasn't horrible, defeats the purpose of the game.
An alternate universe where the N64 used discs. How would the gaming industry look if Nintendo got FF7 and all the third party support.

(Current) Greg Miller is actually _from_ an alternate timeline. The main differences are from cinema, but I'm sure there are some video game based differences we haven't learned about yet.

Freaking sad seeing Nintendo keep becoming irrelevant every generations. Young gen today grow up with mobile gaming and pc most of them have 0 interest playing Nintendo games. This is why most Nintendo IPs are dead and left forgotten.
Keep telling yourself that as the 20,000,000 + sales of even a controversial game such as pokemon or zelda.
