This program provided her with valuable knowledge about IBC, enabling her to engage more effectively in her community. One of her significant contributions is leading a Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser at her daughter's school in partnership with the American Cancer Society, demonstrating her active role in fighting cancer.
Additionally, Katrina is in the process of writing a book that narrates her journey with breast cancer. Unlike traditional memoirs on the subject, she aims to present her story in a novelistic format, giving cancer and her brain their own characters. This creative approach signifies her desire to offer a unique perspective on the breast cancer narrative, highlighting her innovative and determined spirit to make a difference in how the story of breast cancer is told.
