dude tokyo's complete chillness and understanding is such a nice thing to witness, allot of people who play rust (content creators) always have a amount of stress you can sense when they play, with tokyo its just pure business, sure its unemotional but its exactly what a high octane heartpumping game like rust needs not some guy screaming. i appreciate Tokyo truly a diamond in the ruff

Tokyo is a legend, I listen to his music all the time, his plays and builds are also insane. Good to know hes also a humble dude, hes far better than just "above average" at pvp lmao
I thought the same haha, he may not have tacularr's aim but no matter how you look at it, explain it, justify it, even just the 'highlight reels'... it takes a lot of skill to be able to put on screen as much great gameplay as he does
yea, I've said it before, but he's one of the creators that inspired me to start making content because he's proof you don't need super high energy yelling-at-the-mic content for people to want to watch
@@sigbogBelieve it or not some people only want to watch the gameplay and have no interest in seeing somebody's cam or voice. Not that content like yours is bad. I'm pretty sure AIT is an OG gamer. Back in the day that was a pretty big subject when twitch & yt were just starting out. People just focused on gameplay. He's really part of a dying breed. It's so rare finding someone who solely wants their audience to focus on gameplay.
This was a wonderful interview format that other Rust YT players attempt to put together. You should keep doing this form of content with other players.
Id love to, I think a lot of us would like to hear things from various creators but they can't necessarily put it into their own content without risk given so many of them are making pure gameplay vids it wouldnt make sense to stop and spend time explaining something
Alone in Tokyo is a legend! I wish I could build and PVP like him. I hope he puts out some new base tutorials soon. Thanks for working with him to makes this vid
Cool video, i'm a solo player myself too even though i've got a strong team behind me, its so enjoyable at times and see myself back to a lot of things pointed out.
Great video! Only heard of AloneInTokyo from Willjum videos - after this one will def need to check both him and you out more. Very chill bud w solid input, thanks
The one thing I've taken away from his raid defense episodes is that base mobility is key. A 2x2 footprint with one entrance / exit is useless in a raid He can move from one side of his base / compound to another even with a massive breach and has loads of peeks & angles to defend
watching tokyo is feel like yourself play that survival game . i never play rust but so satisfying to see him try survive in that game . 1. alone in tokyo ( satisfying gameplay) 2. gorliac ( relax and sometimes fun ) 3. reksmore ( trapper always intertaining) 4. frost ( movies and story ) 5. i forgot the name but solo player too solo survival always satisfying to watch
As someone pushing 700 hours on rust. I cant lie. This was a crazy video. Correct mindset is crucial when playing this game. Its unforgiving as a solo. And tokyo got that genius mindset
In combat either your A covering dead bodies so whenever they go to loot it again you get more kills or B reposition after every kill so they can't call you out.
The fact AIT has over 450K subscribers, yet never says a word, is a testament to how good he is. He let's his gameplay, editing and awesome soundtrack do the talking. The combination of the mute persona, him being respectful to the clans who try to raid him and not being afraid to show his occasional losses give him an air of humbleness which is very easy to respect. He is indeed the best solo Rust player in my opinion.
I have considered trying to play solo more often, as I most often play with friends and depend on them for pvp as I am better at building and doing electricity than actual fighting.
I know the feeling, its frustrating to know you're at a huge disadvantage, but the clarity/simplicity, along with knowing that youre expected to lose, can offer a nice relief to the pressure and make the wins super exciting
“I loot rocks and torches unintentionally” Lies! We all know it! 😂 Thanks Sig and AiT for this vid! After a rough force this gave me some solace to continue the grind :D Two great creators
Do a breakdown with trausi on how to approach pvp how to practice aim train etc. He provides a lot of great insight especially in terms of what and when to emphasize etc. I think it’d really help the everyday player.
I think he forgot to mention aloneintokyo's main key to success, he isnt really alone. He literally plays on a server with at least 20 of his friends. When he is getting raided they come and counter the raiders, and when he is finished for the wipe he has his friends come raid him for content.
@@SnarkyMcSnarkles I dont know man, In his last series the raiders had very sus hits on him. Probably cheating and I dont think he would ask friends that for content. Obviously, could be, we never know, but I dont think so. Anyways, doesnt take away how nice his movement etc is in the base during the raid.
@@paulsaalfeld9844 dont get me wrong i watch his videos and enjoy them, its just a little scammy what i think he does. And its not like they dont play well to make him look good or anything weird, the playing is legit, its just semi staged sometimes
"Use all your loot" Honesty the only difference between getting killed while farming with a chainsaw and losing it, and not using it at all because you're scared of losing it. Is that you will probably get at least 2 or 3 good farm runs with it before you get killed and lose it
i know it sounds corny but this video was inspiring. ive played the last 2 weeks without caring about losing loot or getting sh*t on in PVP. one of my best wipes i've ever played - when you risk a lot, rust can be so rewarding. oh and i also have boxes with F1s and smoke grenades in every corner of my base :D waiting for the online now hehe
I just played a Monday wipe with 6 other friends and we have 13k gunpowder and 40k frags. I farmed everything and cooked everything. And they all just left the server cuz they were bored. I said hey let’s go do a huge raid on some pvp chads and they are like nah don’t raid then said they are hopping servers…
I really needed that "use all your loot" advise whej i started out lol. My base was the loot pinata for all the raiders lol. Also "its just a game" is never going to work for like 60% of rust players, ive never met a more angry group then rust players lol. I have been one of them from time to time....
I always said that tokyos strength isn't his aim, but his gamesense. People like tacularr are just insane aimers, but I would consider tokyo to still be better solely because he knows when and how to take a fight. His mental on top of that is also next level. Where most people give up, Tokyo goes on to make the best of every situation.
I feel like if AIT talked he would have a lot more subs, just because he would get more people to watch him, but I get everyone has their own style and I think his is pretty good
its a good question, not talking might be the most iconic thing about him so idk what happens if that weren't the case, but his skill as a solo and his music are also iconic...
Ugh, that Tokyo guy. Can't shut him up. Yak yak yak yak yak. 🤣 But seriously though I appreciate a content creator like Tokyo who isn't a toxic piece of shit like Coco or Shacky. Unfortunately it's far too rare in Rust.
