Hi Neil and Ant hope you are well. We have been looking forward to this so much.We are only a few miles away and have visited the gardens many times but not been inside. Now we have joined hh we are looking forward to looking around inside ourselves . It looks fabulous what a gem . The rooms look so beautiful. The clock was amazing good to see it was working. Liked the fact that Queen Camilla has slept there it's nice that history is still being created as they are so often always in the distant past. Hi Dave and Dawn! Thankyou for such a lovely comment, it really is appreciated! Your point about history still being made is such a good one and it's wonderful this house is still being used as it was intended... we didn't get to see the room Charles slept in, the guide told us they always sleep in separate rooms when they have a sleep over... on this ocassion they were visiting Prince William who was also staying nearby! Grimsthorpe blew us away inside it is magnificent and in such incredible condition, it's obviously a much loved family home. Tricky for photography as most rooms are very low light to preserve the interiors... if you do the guided tour there were some lovely little stories which we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated. We look forward to seeing your perspective when you visit... Have a great week... Best wishes from us both 😊

We loved the place it is a real gem! couple of issues with some light 'strobing' on 4 of the clips which was a shame, i think concealed spot lighting postibly... we will certainly go again would love to see the gardens in full bloom, they are something else. This was not disappointing. Has all the signatures of Vanbrugh/Hawksmoor. The Interiors very liveable, Baroque in the 21st Century. The Chippendale pieces are exquisite.

You lads really get around! Before we know it, you'll be waving from the windows of Buckingham Palace next...or Windsor Castle? LOL. Well, that was amazing! Grimsthorpe Castle is just beautiful, both inside & out. The decor, furnishings & various objects in the Castle are very unique. Especially the unusual Clock with the Tall Ships sailing & rocking on the waves there.That was truly unique! The Rooms at Grimsthorpe are very pretty & I really love the lower ceilings they have there. This makes the Home feel much cozier than other large Homes.The Gardens & Grounds are also very beautiful! The ones directly at the front remind me a bit of the ones at Windsor Castle.Indeed! Wow! 3.000 Acres? Now that's a huge lawn to mow & many flower beds to weed! One could easily land a plane there! You would probably need to bring a Compass with you when you take a walk...just in case. LOL. No matter what, though.. Grimsthorpe truly is amazing & the stories surrounding it & it's owners are most fascinating! Thank you for sharing this delightful place with us! Blessings to you both!

So many thrones and links to the royal family including the small red velvet table on which Queen Victoria signed the documents at her coronation! We loved that the Baroness at 90 still lives there and was at home during our visit ... we wondered if she was looking out the window when we were in the garden! So pleased that you enjoyed the video and we so appreciate your support. We did visit Buckingham Palace a few years back and whilst it is much larger than Grimsthorpe they both had a similar feeling. @@Annie4Always We weren't videoing back then unfortunately... our VERY first vlog was at the late Queens estate in Sandringham her holiday home in Norfolk, I hope we've improved a bit since then though 😆 We also went to Windsor which is fabulous but again pre vlog days... hopefully we will go back at some point 🤞

Lady Jane's Astor grandparents were both born in America and her father's mother was another American heiress Eloise Lawrence Breese.
Lady Jane’s father was the 3rd and last Earl of Ancaster.
