Your potential worst mistake of your life sir. Turned into one of the best sources of escapist reality adventures on RUclips for many of us! Thank you for making that leap of faith! 👍
On analyzing the statistics of your videos, as the successful music producer Rick Rubin said: 1) the audience should come last when making art; 2) if you make something truly for yourself, you are doing the best thing you can do for the audience.; and, 3) If you cater to the audience you will end up making something that has already been done before. Keep doing what you do - it is a pleasure to watch.
Jon - after Curtis (spouse) and I started watching you and Erin - we actually went out and bought a canoe. Sold my car, got a truck to tow it with and hit the many rivers, streams and lakes of the PNW. And it's because of YOU and this channel. I love seeing the world through your eyes. It gives Curtis and I a great feeling know the world will be left in hands like your's and Erin's. Young people that truly care about the environment, teaching others by example, leaving things better when you leave than when you got there. At 62 - we are both so thankful for younger people like yourselves. Where there are times of desperation for us boomers - we see people like you and Xander and others on RUclips and it gives us pause and reminds us there are wonderful younger people out there that do care about what is right. As always - thank you for your passion, your amazing camera work - and ALL that you do.
This, this is why your channel is important. You’re one of the last youtubers I watch that is truly sharing their passion and not trying to shove an ad down my throat. Happy new year!
So glad you never gave up. We consider you a national treasure. I can't emphasize how much you help all of us who for a gamut of reasons can't get outside into nature as much as we wish. My headspace is much more balanced because of all you do. Thank you. P.s. always love your dedication to good meals. Not everyone out there cares. ❤
I am a 57 year old woman. I absolutely love your content. I dont know if i will ever do the kinds of trips that you do - but i appreciate all of the simple beautiy in nature that you often highlight. I've enjoyed learning about RUclips and your journey with it. I am happy that you have been able to earn a decent living with tripping full-time! What a dream! And the amount that you paid for your house! What!!??
Hey, even if im one of your female viewers im not really a chatter, this will be my first and i don't know if not last comment, but. I hope you channel will prosper and you will only getting more and more money to found more adventures. I really enjoyed the video!
Sixty year old female here, and I absolutely love your content. Due to injuries I can't kayak or backpack anymore so watching youtubers like yourself help fill that void. Keep doing what you are doing. By the way so enjoy when your dad and wife join you. Love their positive energy. Happy tripping! 🛶
Thank you for this beautiful and informative video. Love your dad and his dad jokes. As one of your age 65+ female demographic, please know that you allow me to live vicariously in the wilds of Ontario. Thank you so much for the effort you put into your channel. I treasure Lost Lakes.
I started watching your channel a few years ago and what keeps me coming back is your integrity and passion which is evident in all your content. An inspiration to us all!
Thumbed up and watched ALL the ads cause I enjoy you Jon and how you do what you do. Obviously you’re living off this thing but never forget your identity doesn’t exist because of this channel the channel exists because of your unique identity!
I’m really enjoying this series! Getting a glimpse of behind the scenes is really interesting and gives me a whole new appreciation for everything that goes into what you do. I really respect your views on going without sponsorship etc. You have a very level headed way of explaining your decision making that lets you live out your dream. I hope we get to watch you for many years to come!
I only discovered this channel about a month ago and you're now my joint favourite (along with the Baird brothers). Your footage, knowledge and most importantly the care and respect you give the landscape and its creatures is truly heartwarming. All the best for 2025 from the UK 🇬🇧
60 year old female ! I love your style. Been a fan for a few years and enjoy coming along with you on these remote trips. I admire your respect for the wilderness. Keep ‘em coming John!
Hey John- just watched they segment on how you want your subscribers to be able to get away and relax. I have to say this is one of the main reasons I watch your videos. I love nature and once spent a lot more time in nature but now a busy stressful job keeps me away from it and I’m able to find it in your videos! Please keep it up!
Hi Jon - I am one of your female viewers and I am a fan. You are such a standup guy and carry high values through your life. my husband and I watch every new video that you post and look forward to each of them The scenery and the nature that you capture through your lens takes us both to a place beyond our corporate life, and we are very grateful to you for giving us a relaxing and beautiful place to escape I have never seen the northern lights in person and when you capture them in your videos, it’s a highlight for me If you ever start a business to take people on private trips, I would sign up in a heartbeat. Keep up the great work building content and posting videos you are making a difference!
I’m so glad you made this decision to commit yourself to your adventures and share them with us! So many people will never have an opportunity to experience such intimacy with nature and may not even know what that serenity and beauty looks like. The world you’re bringing to us is so unique and pure that it is like a huge dose of psychological pleasure medication. Thank you Jon and thank your beautiful intelligent wife for supporting your dreams and contributing her efforts to make them a reality for you and the rest of us! ❤❤
My girlfriend and I enjoy your content immensely, found your channel some time ago through the old RUclips algorithm. We've been followers ever since. I had no idea of how the "behind the scenes" part of what you do works, so this was very informative! Hoping that you continue running your channel as you see fit, truly one of the characteristics that sets you apart, as does your love of the outdoors and respect for wildlife. Hoping that you continue to follow your dreams and share your travels with the rest of us.
I like the simple, straightforward videos best. Won‘t ever tire of someone putting up camp, cooking, fishing and lighting a fire. Love your content. Thank you, Jon.
You are reaching a worldwide audience and sharing your fiendships, knowledge, experiences & passion for the beautiful Canadian environment across countries, cultures & generations. My kids & I make your videos a family viewing time together and I thank you for taking the risk and putting in the hard time & work to share these experiences that you turn into cinematic works of art with us all.
Xander and your personalities mesh well, different but fitting. Wouldn’t have blinked twice if you were old friends from grade school, but the fact of the matter is even more intriguing.
You are one of my favorite RUclipsrs ever. Not to sound creepy either but your videos help me fall asleep. I’ve shared youre channel with so many my friends too it’s awesome! Keep doing you and live your life- we only live it once!!!
Some comments... I'm in my late 60's and partially handicapped. As a result I watch a lot of YT in the evenings. What I like about your channel is your genuineness. I subscribe to numerous camping channels. The patterns I see is that ice fishing tends to get less views. Hot tent in the cold and snow are big- overcoming the elements.... Cooking over fires or on a woodstove is big. I also note that being environmentally consciences is also positive. Some of the things you read occasionally at the end is really appreciative. I think your wife along is really nice as the two of you interact well. Especially some of the silliness. I wish you well and I will continue to watch for I hope a long time. Also, FWIW, I'd have no problems if you had sponsors that are in tune to your adventures.
I watch every video that you share and rewatch them as well. I live in a city and it’s beautiful here but I miss the woods and the rivers and lakes, and I’m afraid my camping days are over. I find your cinematography, your storytelling, and your music choices are just so beautiful to watch. Your sense of humor is subtly delightful and I’ve enjoyed “meeting” your friends and family, and especially seeing your relationship with Erin, you two are so good together and your proposal, wedding and trips together was a privilege to see. Keep doing exactly what you want to do, I’ll be here to watch all of it.
I absolutely loved this video. I always like seeing behind the curtain and seeing how the analytics work and how it actually translates to revenue and you did such a great job explaining it. I am so glad I found your channel after watching Xander's videos and get to follow you both now!
Love all of your work John!! Please just do what you do. Your trips and videos are gorgeous. All the power to you and Erin and to getting to live the dream life. All the best from Scotland
1/2 way through and i'm diligently marking each time pierogis make an appearance. I personally believe this is a key component of the youtube algorithm. In all seriousness I keep coming back, your channel for me has the highest amount of "favorited" videos, everything has a high level of replayability. Appreciate what you produce, LL!
Love that you stay true to yourself. Been with you since the Pick River trip and that blew my mind. Love your unsensational style that lets nature do the talking. Your quality of production just continues to improve and is often better than some big tv channel productions. I loved these insights into the behind the scenes of RUclips. Continue doing what you do and know that your many followers love your content and any Lost Lakes upload is a real treat! Thank you for taking us on your adventures!
Watching you take the risk to go full time and your bromance with Xander has been so much fun to watch. Thanks for the background and all the beauty along the way.
Big fan of your videos! I actually discovered your channel first and then discovered Xander, and I was so surprised when you popped up in one of his videos. My favorite camping youtubers making videos together? This is awesome! 😭 I am the work from home viewer who enjoys having longer videos on as I get through the emails, so I'm glad you get why we love the longer content. I'm part of the minority female demographic of the camping channels like yours, and I actually have no interest in camping, but I love the peace and joy your videos give me in such a busy world! This is such an interesting video, thanks for taking the time to give us a peek behind the youtube algorithm as a creator. Big love from Texas!
The videography is dramatically has progressed through the years. Keep the production on budget with great adventure and a bit of fishing, you will be successful. Stay healthy , safe and have fun. 🇨🇦
This was awesome. Took me a week to see it all. Learned a lot about what it takes for your videos never knew how much work went into them. Keep up the good work love your trips. Gives us ideas for our next trip
I came here to say I am subscribed and I watched all 4 and 1/2 hours of this… granted under my primary account. However, I did flip accounts so I can come here and congratulate you. Not only is it fun to live through your adventures, but your dry humor and spot-on editing is admirable. I found you through the infamous RUclips algorithm. And, happy I did. Wishing you continued success!
Just finished the first part with Xander…so funny to see him on his best behaviour…..little did you know what was to come! My favourite duo! (Besides you and Erin of course) Happy New Year!
I'm one of the monsters that watch almost every minute but never bothered to subscribe. Until right.... Now! (Sorry for that). Thanks so much for what you do. This channel is chiefly responsible for my getting out there the past two years and doing some backpacking trips. A whole new world has opened up for me in the wild. Thanks and bravo
Thank you for choosing to do this and providing amazing content and having a more deep provoking philosophy for your channel . It is awe inspiring that you have been able to do what you love and we are grateful for seeing this from you through your videos . Keep it going sir !
An early Christmas prezzy! Thanks for in the in depth look behind the curtain. With a plethora of Naan based content;), stunning cinematography, and love letter to the outdoors. Jon, Erin & sometimes Xandorff Spudbank....thanks as always!
Jon, I am 83 years old and canoed Last Mountain Lake in Saskatchewan in a home built plywood straked boat built by my father. Later after being introduced to the north by employment (working early drilling exploration in far north Saskatchewan at 18 to surveying in proposed northern roads) I fell in love with the north. To this day it is in my blood and I find your videos keep the love alive and well! My wife was never a canoists or camper (glamper maybe) but supported me by making sure that I could escape to my now second love when the opportunity allowed. I was able to canoe the Churchill River across the province. When I watch you and your now wife canoe together my heart is with you both! You are a lucky man to be able to canoe with your father. I was never able to do so. Remember in those "low" video moments that there are those of us who can still get to feel the canoe come alive under you as you shoot those Rapids. Many, many thanks!
That video of the 3 year off limit fishing lake is what hooked me and got me watching your videos. Thanks for what you do I’m too old to do those trips so your the next best thing
Man I love your integrity troughout your whole process! I love this serie where you put your hart on the table for us. I'm listening (half way through) while looking at my dashboard right now. As a small french niche content creator, I can tell you the language barrier is a big struggle to grow mine. I totally identify with your values. Big respect to Erin and you for what you do. I can relate so much with all the emotions you say YT can bring you into. Please don't ever change and keep this channel what it is. You have the best images of the genre, the way you tell your stories is captivating. I love to binge a Lost Lakes production. Kudos and much respect and love man! Have a nice hollidays with Erin! A+!
This past year I discovered my love of nature and peaceful canoe trips, I always found life dull and nothing really clicked/made me really all that happy until I took my first trip last May of 2024. Xander and yourself were the two people that really made me want to record my trips so this year that's what I'll be doing. I'm not expecting to make money and just want to share my joy of nature and possibly just like the both of you, inspire someone else to start camping and possibly fall in love in the process. so I guess what I'm trying to say is THANK YOU and keep up the great work!
Fantastic video! I truly appreciate the honest and insightful look into the RUclips life. Your down-to-earth nature and integrity are genuinely inspiring-it’s refreshing to see someone who values more than just personal gain. Wishing you all the success in the world! Cheers from Vancouver Island! 😉
Couldnt think of a better way to tune out by "tuning in" on this cold Saturday afternoon in the Upper Ottawa Valley. Your introspection and insight is your trademark Jon so wear it proudly and keeping looking forward and keep doing you. Looking forward to whatever you put out on your own schedule. All the best for 2025!
I, (we, your fans) enjoy what you create, you are sincere & legit! I’d rather watch your vids than NFL or other mind numbing tv! I’m glad you enjoy what you are doing and I’ll keep watching! The behind the scenes info is fascinating! I really appreciate the look and info in all 3 of the episodes so far! Keep on trippin’!
Jon you are amazing. You say sometimes how magical things are, for some of us you are the creator of magic. You take us places we would never experience otherwise, that is truly magical. Thank you for what you do. Much love to you ❤ and many wishes for your continued success.
Okay I barely ever comment on videos, but your Gollum Impression is the absolute BEST. I just had to say that!! Keep doing your videos man, they are a great source of tranquil and peace and just the right kind of escapism I seek. I have watched your channel for less than a few weeks and it is my favorite discovery of 2024. Thank you for your hard work Jon, it's a great delight watching your videos.
Love the intermission segments. Thank you for being so open and honest. Great video Jon wish you all the best in the times to come and looking forward to watching! Merry Christmas
I’ve loved this latest offering. Really appreciate your natural ease in describing your ethos and your processes. My husband and I have loved all of your videos. Yes, we like some more than others but all share that same authenticity and principle to your values. Keep it up. You inspired us to get back to something we have loved…canoe tripping. And don’t pay too much heed to the haters. They would find something to hate no matter what you do. It’s them…not you. We think you’re doing something great here.
Thank you for the inspiration in going for what you love doing. Most of us dont take the risk and will never reap the soul rewards. I watch your videos initially because your doing adventures that happen to be in my neck of the woods.(hr away from your initial homebase..Mara...) Then I was entrigued by your story and process of youtubing outdoors adventures as a entrepreneur. Hope I bump into you one day to thank you personally..
Jon, just wanted to say that having watched these videos and heard your discussions on motivation, I just wanted to share that not only have you and Erin inspired my fiancee and myself to go spend time in the bush, but you have also inspired my specifically to engage with photography, and I personally adore your photographic eye. I would love to chat at some point about your experiences with wildlife photography, or maybe doing a video focused on the photography side of what you do when youre out and what is going through your mind when youre trying to find shots out in the wild. I have tremendous respect for your ethical approach to experiencing the wild, as well as the positivity with which you shed a light on the beauty of the natural world. Love your work, Jon. Many happy wishes to you and Erin into the future.
My wife and I enjoy all your videos, long or short form. A long video gives us the option to settle in for a couple hours and enjoy some great scenery and quality content. Or break it up into a couple parts if we're short on free time. The videos are nice without the interruption of the "paid sponsorship" But if you needed to do them to keep the lights on, we'd still be here to watch. Plus your naan bread recipes are what got us to try it in the first place. (Made naan bread breakfast burritos the other morning and they were great!) Maybe you could get a naan bread sponsorship? Keep up the good work and we'll keep watching! Merry Christmas! Happy new year!
We thank you and other out door vlogger that show what wilderness is like and let us join you on your adventures. Through your vlogs you show what people can do. Enjoy what you do but invest for your eventual retirement.
Watching the intermission as you go back to your earlier videos when you were first transitioning to full time made me realize that it was not only capturing your history but mine as well. I found your channel during the c-19 years and I've enjoyed the escape of watching your channel ever since. Thank you for sharing your journey!
I have watched all of the trips in this video at least a handful of times each, and I'm still going to joyfully watch this all the way through. The insights into youtube and monetization are also really interesting, thank you for being so open and willing to share these things!
Hey Jon, my husband and I have recently discovered you and enjoy your videos! 45+ years ago when we were dating and first married we lived in Manitoba but would drive into Ontario, down a logging road with a canoe and find a lake to put out into, and never see another soul for the next few days…..sigh…
I appreciate youJon and your honesty. Thanks for all the information you’re sharing in this video. I totally enjoyed re-watching of your videos when you put them together with other videos. I think you should just keep doing what you’re doing because it’s authentic it’s real and it seems to be who you are and like you said, you’re invested in it and I would not pay any attention to negative comments or the numbers. I started my channel for a few different reasons and none of them so far are monetary reasons, although I’d like to monetize at some point. I’m just focusing on putting our content and I’ll learn about how to best get it out there and not be so focused on what people have to say, but hoping that it does bless people along the way. You are living a good life and I wouldn’t change anything or worry about any naysayers or comparing yourself to anybody else. Keep up the most excellent work. I so enjoy your videos so much. As for those videos where the guy is just out there doing his thing and not saying any words I can’t stand those videos. I really like the interaction and the times of silence mixed together, it’s beautiful and seeing the wildlife and focusing on the wildlife, you do a real good job. You do a real real good job. I’ve been following you for a long time right before you met Erin I believe maybe right before you met her and I’ve always enjoyed your video so keep up the good work. You are a blessing in my life. You’re going places I’d love to go that I may go to someday but not to the same extent because I’m much older than you. Especially grateful because I am taking care of my sister who is very ill right now and I can’t do any hiking or camping or kayaking or anything, but someday I will be able to get back to it. Thank you again Jon.
I am so glad you made the decisions you did! Your videos have truly enriched my life by giving me a beautiful window into a world I've never known. I just got a 65" inch OLED TV. I'll break it in on this video and then enjoy all your videos again!!!! Thanks Jon and Erin!!
I alternate watching you or Xander most days for many reasons. Your respect for nature and wildlife is certainly on top of the list. We will always be here to follow you on your journey. Thank you Jon!
I am one of your firsts (I think) and probabely not many from here (Israel) watch your amazing adventures but still..I feel that you (& crazy Zander) are spots of light in a darkened reality...thanks for that (and me & sons bought and are wearing your hat proudly...) thanks for who you are for so many, around the world 🤟🏻
I was so happy to see this one land! I was afraid that something had happened and you'd decided not to finish the series. Maybe I'll recut the video I'm working on now and make it a long format. You're an inspiration Jon, both for makers of videos and for those who love the outdoors. Thanks for all your work and for taking us along on the adventure!
An interesting look into the world of you tube vlogging. The thing that makes your videos so compelling is like you said, you are doing it for the enjoyment and that's what comes through whole heartedly! Love that you don't officially promote but, do talk about the items that impress you enough to share it with us.
Well I know I’ve seen all these segments but I enjoyed them just the same!! And myself I prefer the long episodes. And I even watched the being a utube streamer parts even though I have no interest in becoming one! I prefer to watch you do all these work. And your absolutely do it solely on your terms and love what do!! They say if you love your job you’ll never work a day in your life!! Keep safe and God bless!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and Erin!! ♥️♥️
What a cool victory lap. I'm a part of the 7%, and proud of your success. I've seen you make a lot of classy decisions and every time you do it says a lot for you and Canada as a whole. .
I've taken a crack at RUclips a few times now (in several niches) and never quite had the dedication or all the pieces lined up quite like you did, and at the end of the day I think your point of not caring if a video is a top performer or not and just enjoying the trip is the best advice in this entire video. Fantastic work and much love from NW Montana! Happy New Year, and let me know if you ever want to come explore the Bob Marshall or Bitterroot-Selway wildernesses in my neck of the woods!
Fist time commenting, John don't get discouraged by the haters. You are by far awesome. This channel is one of my favorites. I don't know about that Xander character I guess he is a close second ha. Your channel has been an inspiration. Recently it got my brother and me out and about. If you want to see our trip from your influence (An Algonquin Adventure: A Tale of Two Bros.). You got this, just don't get lost on those lakes I don't think Erin would be happy about that and Xander would get lonely.
Sage advice, especially for someone not succeeding on RUclips. lol I'm very much enjoying this series. Do it for the joy and if you're able to be financially successful, that's great. Also, ignore the critics. It smacks of jealousy.
You're a wonderful educator. Thanks for demystifying the business and art of being a creator. I appreciate your living your values. I learned a lot from this video and I wish you all the best moving forward. Oh and I have RUclips premium so no commercials for me. I don't have cable TV.
Thanks for posting another marathon episode (pun intended). Appreciate the insights into the metrics available for your videos and the reasoning behind some of your decisions. Merry Christmas!
We don’t live to work, and very few of us are fortunate to make a living off our true passions. I’m so glad that you’ve found a way to enjoy your adventures while earning money!

the fish transition at 1:44 is perhaps the best fish transition in yt history

Ah. Jontario and Xander Butterchicken. I'll watch reruns of you guys any time. Best way to get through a grey dreary winter.
I’m really enjoying this series! Getting a glimpse of behind the scenes is really interesting and gives me a whole new appreciation for everything that goes into what you do.
Jon you make nature so beautiful ❤I’m addicted to your channel
Jon, very happy to see the progress. Backroads & Backwaters loves you guys!!! As does anyone who watches!! Best to Erin!
Hi Jon - I am one of your female viewers and I am a fan.
You are such a standup guy and carry high values through your life. my husband and I watch every new video that you post and look forward to each of them
The scenery and the nature that you capture through your lens takes us both to a place beyond our corporate life, and we are very grateful to you for giving us a relaxing and beautiful place to escape
I have never seen the northern lights in person and when you capture them in your videos, it’s a highlight for me
If you ever start a business to take people on private trips, I would sign up in a heartbeat.
💚💚
My girlfriend and I enjoy your content immensely, found your channel some time ago through the old RUclips algorithm. We've been followers ever since. I had no idea of how the "behind the scenes" part of what you do works, so this was very informative! Hoping that you continue running your channel as you see fit, truly one of the characteristics that sets you apart, as does your love of the outdoors and respect for wildlife.
Hoping that you continue to follow your dreams and share your travels with the rest of us.
🙏 Much appreciated!
Thank you all! 🙏
Oh yeah!! I've been waiting for this next episode 😊❤ it's crazy how happy I get every time a new Lost Lakes is posted
💚💚
Xander and your personalities mesh well, different but fitting. Wouldn’t have blinked twice if you were old friends from grade school, but the fact of the matter is even more intriguing.
You are one of my favorite RUclipsrs ever. Not to sound creepy either but your videos help me fall asleep. I’ve shared youre channel with so many my friends too it’s awesome! Keep doing you and live your life- we only live it once!!!
💚💚
Really appreciate your thoughts!
Truly appreciate that! 💚
You just made my weekend Jon, thanks
I absolutely loved this video. I always like seeing behind the curtain and seeing how the analytics work and how it actually translates to revenue and you did such a great job explaining it. I am so glad I found your channel after watching Xander's videos and get to follow you both now!
Really appreciate that :)
Love all of your work John!! Please just do what you do. Your trips and videos are gorgeous. All the power to you and Erin and to getting to live the dream life. All the best from Scotland
🙏🙏
1/2 way through and i'm diligently marking each time pierogis make an appearance. I personally believe this is a key component of the youtube algorithm. In all seriousness I keep coming back, your channel for me has the highest amount of "favorited" videos, everything has a high level of replayability. Appreciate what you produce, LL!
Hahah thank you so much :)
I am the work from home viewer who enjoys having longer videos on as I get through the emails, so I'm glad you get why we love the longer content.
Really appreciate that! 💚
I can state categorically that you and your content are some of the very best on RUclips. Keep it up my friend 🫱🫱
🙏🙏
The videography is dramatically has progressed through the years. Keep the production on budget with great adventure and a bit of fishing, you will be successful. Stay healthy , safe and have fun. 🇨🇦
This was awesome. Took me a week to see it all. Learned a lot about what it takes for your videos never knew how much work went into them. Keep up the good work love your trips. Gives us ideas for our next trip
I full-time quit my first-time job to work part-time at RUclips 🤔
The first time I quit my job to work part time as a full time parts guy
🤦♂️🤦♂️ Angry
Lmao
This is partly the reason you have full time following @@XanderBudnick
I came here to say I am subscribed and I watched all 4 and 1/2 hours of this… granted under my primary account. However, I did flip accounts so I can come here and congratulate you.
Not only is it fun to live through your adventures, but your dry humor and spot-on editing is admirable.
I found you through the infamous RUclips algorithm. And, happy I did.
Wishing you continued success!
Because of your channel. We decided to do the BWCA in August of 24. We're in our mid 50's and are planning 2025 BWCA trip. Thanks for whar you do!!!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Just finished the first part with Xander…so funny to see him on his best behaviour…..little did you know what was to come! My favourite duo! (Besides you and Erin of course) Happy New Year!
Thanks Barb and happy new year!
Jon, you’re the best at what you do. NEVER stop ! Awesome videos.
🙏🙏
I'm one of the monsters that watch almost every minute but never bothered to subscribe. Until right.... Now! (Sorry for that). Thanks so much for what you do. This channel is chiefly responsible for my getting out there the past two years and doing some backpacking trips. A whole new world has opened up for me in the wild. Thanks and bravo
Hahah thank you and keep getting out!
Thank you for choosing to do this and providing amazing content and having a more deep provoking philosophy for your channel . It is awe inspiring that you have been able to do what you love and we are grateful for seeing this from you through your videos . Keep it going sir !
💚
Thanks for what you do
I’m too old to do those trips so your the next best thing
This just made my weekend infinitely better!
Very much appreciated Robert! 👋
Thank you Mark!
Again can only say that you living your dream, and doing what you love.
Ewery video is full with pasion, great job. Greatings from Latvia❤❤
💚👋
I'm sorry It's more difficult lately because i really like all the trippin episodes. Don't give up, your work is incredibly good.
💚💚
Okay I barely ever comment on videos, but your Gollum Impression is the absolute BEST.
I just had to say that!!
Keep doing your videos man, they are a great source of tranquil and peace and just the right kind of escapism I seek.
I have watched your channel for less than a few weeks and it is my favorite discovery of 2024.
Thank you for your hard work Jon, it's a great delight watching your videos.
Hahah much appreciated!!
Love the intermission segments. Thank you for being so open and honest. Great video Jon wish you all the best in the times to come and looking forward to watching! Merry Christmas
Best show on RUclips!
Damn right you’re trippin! Great intro. This will take me several days to get to the end - but well on the way. Great watch!!
Fellowship of the Vlog is such a great section name, love the reference! 16 minutes in and i'm hooked, it's gonna be a great time!
Thank you for the inspiration in going for what you love doing. Most of us dont take the risk and will never reap the soul rewards.
I watch your videos initially because your doing adventures that happen to be in my neck of the woods.(hr away from your initial homebase..Mara...)
Then I was entrigued by your story and process of youtubing outdoors adventures as a entrepreneur.
(Made naan bread breakfast burritos the other morning and they were great!)
Maybe you could get a naan bread sponsorship? Keep up the good work and we'll keep watching!
Merry Christmas! Happy new year!
Hahah I'd have to consider that one...thank you both and Merry Christmas!
I'll never skip another commercial if you will post your butternut squash recipe.
Hahah if I still had it, I assure you you wouldn't want it
We thank you and other out door vlogger that show what wilderness is like and let us join you on your adventures. Through your vlogs you show what people can do. Enjoy what you do but invest for your eventual retirement.
I have been waiting for this one!! Lets go!
😗
We love your videos Jon and always look forward to a new one- keep them coming!
🙏🙏
It took Covid for me to find you, but I'm glad I did. Great job friend.
Hey Jon, my husband and I have recently discovered you and enjoy your videos! 45+ years ago when we were dating and first married we lived in Manitoba but would drive into Ontario, down a logging road with a canoe and find a lake to put out into, and never see another soul for the next few days…..sigh…
You took quite the risk going out with Xander alone for two weeks, he might just have been looking to get rid of the competition.
Лучшие видео на Ютубе! Молодцы,всегда смотрим Вас!!!
🙏🙏
Honoured to break in the new OLED! We just got our first too :)
I alternate watching you or Xander most days for many reasons. Your respect for nature and wildlife is certainly on top of the list. We will always be here to follow you on your journey. Thank you Jon!
Thank you!!
I am one of your firsts (I think) and probabely not many from here (Israel) watch your amazing adventures but still..I feel that you (& crazy Zander) are spots of light in a darkened reality...thanks for that (and me & sons bought and are wearing your hat proudly...) thanks for who you are for so many, around the world 🤟🏻
Truly appreciate that!🙏💚
The wait is over loll. Thanks Jon!!
I love outdoors for a lot of the same reasons you do. I appreciate the time, effort and talent you put into this. Thank you!
Aways enjoy your videos Jon, keep up the good work!
Thank you!!
The more sporadic long format videos are a huge part of why this channel is my favorite YT content.
🙏🙏
Its here, excellent, time to sit back and relax!
An interesting look into the world of you tube vlogging. The thing that makes your videos so compelling is like you said, you are doing it for the enjoyment and that's what comes through whole heartedly! Love that you don't officially promote but, do talk about the items that impress you enough to share it with us.
Much appreciated!
💚💚
What a cool victory lap. I'm a part of the 7%, and proud of your success. I've seen you make a lot of classy decisions and every time you do it says a lot for you and Canada as a whole. .
Much appreciated Jim!
Long live Lost Lakes 🩵
💚
Merry Xmas Jon & Erin!
Just want to say thank you for what you do- your hard work means a lot to so many.
Looking forward to more adventures in 2025.
That really was a stunning Caribou (17:52) just a beautiful creature ❤
Thanks for posting another marathon episode (pun intended). Appreciate the insights into the metrics available for your videos and the reasoning behind some of your decisions. Merry Christmas!
We don’t live to work, and very few of us are fortunate to make a living off our true passions.
I’m so glad that you’ve found a way to enjoy your adventures while earning money!
