Quite the progression. He started with one- to two-night stays in snowy Canadian forests, sleeping under tarps and eating too much food, to surviving on an island like Castaway.
I miss the old days. They were simple and silly and fun. And we tried new recipes and played dress up sometimes too. Posts were more frequent. Ah, life and it’s changes and blessings. ❤🥹
same one thing that would be cool to add to the videos is to add what he eats right before starting and what he eats when he's finished and getting his fill for the first time in days
Yes I would love to see what he ate after one of these survival videos I bet you he's really hungry. And I cannot believe anyone would ever think he's on drugs after so many years of having bragging rights and being proud of himself forgetting off of drugs and admitting it to all of his followers. I am personally very proud of him. This would get to anyone.
I like seeing the progression of your videos from North America to Asian Pacific. As a young fellow, I began my hunting journey in the Western US, but eventually did trips to Mongolia and Africa which required a lot of logistical planning, but I eventually pulled it off. Well done Xander for pulling this one together-you’ll never forget it!
I envy you, and himself. Ireland has little to no wilderness, totally deforested, sparce wildlife. We do have an abundance of wild fruit, veg and fungi, so I just forage alot.
@ I grew up in LA county, and while it offered more than it does today, I got out by enlisting in the Army. We moved to Idaho after I got out of the Army, but eventually started to feel kind of trapped in Idaho, so I moved on to Alaska. I am thankful for the opportunities I’ve had, but a lot of things would have never happened if I hadn’t taken some big leaps!
For a guy who I once watched eat (if memory serves me correctly) 10 burritos, consisting of 2 different colored bell peppers, 1 avacodo ea, (and fish was it?) in one sitting, I am not shocked that your belly rebelled when it realized it wasn't receiving constant nutrients being pounded down from the top of the digestive process. (lol, lots of love brother).
Its currently 3.17 am in Singapore and it is safe to say ill be up till morning watching this masterpiece. Thanks for the content once again Xander love from SG!
bro if i had a fraction of your positivity in the face of adversity and repeated setbacks, I'd be so much happier...every time something went wrong, you go to fixing it without complaining but rather a cheerful attitude- lack of food, energy, rest, doesn't matter. Really inspiring & endearing stuff, wishing you the best!!
Love the video but gotta say, From one side it's amazing how many bottles you found there , that made storing fluids easy but from the other side it's so depressing how many bottles were there.
Absolutely Brilliant work Xander, from your survival skills to the drone shots, gorgeous scenery and underwater camera work, this has it all. The ending was PERFECT! 😊
Congrats on 1 Million!!! I remember finding this channel when it was only at 200k subs. It was amazing just watching someone camp out in the Canadian winter with essentially nothing but a tarp and a sleeping bag. Its been great watching this channel grow and I am excited to see what is on the horizon.
I just love how your content makes me feel so safe that I can literally sleep without not realizing. I feel comfortable watching your content. Lots of love from Türkiye🇹🇷
Love these survival adventures, really nice stuff. Especially the foraging aspect seems super cool. Even if half of it is just coconuts the craftiness and problem solving in trying to get food is always nice to watch.
An absolute banger! Xander you're videos are like therapy, and allways fantastic to watch. But be careful with all that weight loss, ill rather see some more chill videos too then, to make sure that you are good. But all love from Denmark 🇩🇰
@@cryptsys He has been clean for several years, dude. Don't judge people you clearly know nothing about, it's very immature. Also; try barely sleeping and eating for a week and being costantly dehydrated in the heat, and see how quickly you become forgetful.
Thank you Xander for a great video. I thought "who the hell throws half empty bottles of water into the ocean?" but it's all helpful in a survival situation. Strange paradox.
♥ I'm so proud of you and Happy that seeking help "outside of yourself" has proved to be a catalyst for your healing. Now be sure to look WITHIN for your continued healing and spiritual growth . blessings 💕
if you gut the paracord it lays flatter, so it doesn't feel as bulky if used as handle material, especially if placed over an already existing handle. Plus, it still maintains most of its strength and durability.
Crabs have a bad part you need to remove before eating them, look it up so you know for later.I suspect that might be the reason for the health issues u had.I also think you approached the fishing in a very inefficient way. You have fishing line and hooks so a pole would be enough to catch a bunch of the curious small fish. i am sure there are small snails etc on the rocks to use as bait.
Your dedication is incredible, can really see that you love what you do, and we love watching you. I wish I could go out like you and have adventures. For now I will keep watching and smile every time I get notified of your videos. ❤
Great Survival on tropical island. All the trash is sad to see, but surprisingly can be helpful on a survival situation. How useful can be the plastic bottles, without them OMG, it comes to real survival.
i cant claim to be like an og to the channel xander, but seeing your sub count just grow and grow these last months has been great to see, because your so deserving of it bro. your holistic approach and openess about your struggles has been so encouraging for me personally to go talk to someone and ik im not alone in that. and cmon man ur doing the sickest expiditions and are filming so well keeo it up
Kinda surprised Xander never tried smoking the fish to make them last longer. Or maybe taking some of his coals to the beach and allowing his fish to cook while he was in the reef. Otherwise thank you for the video Xander, me and my family really enjoyed watching your journey!
Thank you for making these videos, they are the only ones which i find myself engaged with the whole way through no matter the length, your character and the photography in this are absolutely amazing! keep up the good work king.
When I watch these videos I feel like I'm transported to a different planet and I'm experiencing it all in real time with you 😂 this really helps me forget about my problems for a few hours i really love your content so much!! One of the realest out there Edit: I just got to the better help advert and I'm so sorry you went through all that and we're all so proud of you for getting through that you inspire us all❤❤
Yes! I now have something to do tonight. Love your content, & as someone in recovery as well, I feel like your channel is a tremendous example of just what fantastic memories are waiting for all of us. And unlike that drug high, those last forever… or at least until we get really old… or hit on the head in a tragic ultimate frisbee accident. In which case, at least we’ll forget the bad memories as well & it’ll be a clean slate! You gotta always focus on the positives. Seriously though, keep up the great work. …And tell “that Jon guy” that although his channel is called “Lost Lakes,” he really needs to join you on one of your trips outside of Canada. While watching an older video of his, I noticed he was reading Edward Abbey, so I posted a comment (I’m sure he didn’t see) that given that author’s affinity for the Desert Southwest, I suggested he come film a trip in the Southwest. I’ve seen your older videos from Sedona & other areas down here, & I actually think it’s time you dragged that lovable chip-addicted beanpole down here on a trip with you. I mean have you ever considered rafting, kayaking or even canoeing the Canyon? Or another visit down to Sedona & the lower Sonoran Desert 🌵I don’t think he’s ever been. And, like every video you two do, I’m sure it’d be a blast. Anyway… wherever you go in the future, with Jon, Max or alone, thanks, as always, for the great videos. You’re a joy to watch brother. All the best from Arizona 🏜️🫵👊✌️
Tbh i when i was kid I liked to watch bear Grylls alot i mean i thought he did everything on his own just a camera guy and hes off to survive alone but rn when im watching your video trust me dude you're the real bear Grylls for me , you're the best stress buster for me
recently started binging your channel and oh my your camera work is incredible in this one. Thank you for posting such good content which is very lacking in youtube nowadays
Hey monsoon season came in clutch for water, I know it sucked for living conditions but at least you got your hydration situation fixed. Wish you had more bottles to stockpile would've got your water stockpile great.
Can't get over how far you have come since I found your channel brother, one day I look for you to do a 30 day survival challenge, that would be epic, great video man
These are great. I dont see the harm in bringing a minimum amound of food and fresh water in case you dont find survival food/water. Its all for entertainment after all. Thanks for the videos keep it up!
Wow what a great way to spend a Saturday evening, you made your experience an experience for us all, loved the island atmosphere and either I was seeing things or you were a dead ringer for Tom Hanks in a couple scenes 😂 great job choosing 7 over 3 ... Even if three is the magic number 😉
I love your videos too much man! Just came home from a long day of fishing, got to get up in 7 hours again but i just cant wait to watch this one! Who needs more than 5 hours of sleep anyways.. :) Greetings from germany
I can barely pick a movie to watch but I'll easily sit down for a 2 hour Xander vid
Me too, l love his videos❤
For real. I'm kind of glad Xander doesn't have a TV show and just does RUclips, but I could watch Xander all day!
@ankshious in his recent livestream he was saying he wouldn't do a programmed TV show anyways so it's a win for us

🤣🤣 20 coconuts per day
🤣🤣same.
Bro has a 20 gallon drum of water hidden in the trees
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 i thought oh no its happening again w the coconuts
I drank ONE coconut when I was younger and had the worst poop of my life. I cannot fathom how he made it through on only coconut water
My pee bottle fell off the boat.
Could I have it back please. It's the big one. 🤣🤣🤣
