Hey Justin at 241:55 you where talking to my uncle Garland he was feeding your dog in camp 10 he grew up in hawkes bay same as myself he was is 69 years old that day we had a few beers he told me about you lol he passed away last year bliss is heart I subscribed to your channel didn't know he'd be on RUclips 😅 thank you so much my buddy this means the world to our family God bless
Sorry to hear about Garland's passing. Breaks my heart! We had a great chat at the end of the trip. What a nice fella. His spirit is at peace now in those woods he loved.
@@CordelleHouse-wz8jsI am so sorry to read of your uncles passing my condolences to you and your family. He seems like a very nice man may he rest now peacefully ❤
It’s great to see you back on RUclips- I hope we see more of your adventures. A year is to long to wait between episodes- I hope we see many more of your adventures 👍👍
Just wanted to add a comment after watching all the way. Mad respect what you do is documentary worthy. Thank you for showing us the beauty of your homeland. be well stay safe
An absolute beautiful country, the wildlife, the birds, all the other wonderful creatures, the lakes and rivers and the fish in them, and you Justin you bring all those wonderful things right into peoples homes. Thank you so much for all your hard work, it was all well worth waiting for.
After binge watching all of your past videos and now getting to see this new one, it makes me happy. I'd never see this country without you. Thanks for taking us along. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Can't say I envy all that trekking through Tuckamore but man do I envy those views. One day I'll get to Newfoundland and see some of that wild country for myself. Thanks for sharing Justin! You are an inspiration!!
We've seen you battle your way thru the best of the best and worst of the worst, jaw dropping, breathless, heart skip a beat terror, in past treks. But this time you've taken on the devils hell hole. You are the heart of an authentic explorer. You are our pleasure our beautiful man, our Newfoundland Explorer💞
Justin, always looking forward to seeing your expeditions! The way you document all your trips is absolutely captivating. Love that you show a mix of the beautiful landscapes and wildnerness in the great outdoors, but also show the challenges and the not-so-glamorous aspects of these endeavours. These adventures really show that much planning needs to go into them and you cannot take mother nature for granted.. she can throw you some curve balls! Many of us get through the daily grind through your inspiring trips and we thank you for that.
Saku and Mr. Barbour coming in clutch, at the final stretch of 2024, with a proper adventure. All is right in the world. Thank you boys. Happy holidays, and happy new year.
All ways a pure pleasure to watch you and Zaku on your adventures. At times tears of joy in appreciation for the experience, thank you both and i know your lovely wife is there helping behind the scenes and in prayer while on the land. Thanks again, looking forward to "our" next adventure! Peace...in JR
It's always a privilege to be able to watch your videos. I've never watch anything on RUclips of this length but the last 2:46 hours just flew by. The only time I turned away was to add a log to the fireplace. Thank you!
Thanks for making these videos! I've been remembering your name and constantly checking for a new video since your last upload and this just made my day
im so freakin excited to watch this one... ive watched your canoe expedition like 5x. its so surreal and relaxing and it almost feels like im there with ya. love your videos so much.
Great video . I've spent my fair share of time out in the bush for work and recreation where live in northeastern Ontario but not on the scale of what you do . From me to you ... nothing but respect for what you're able to do and endure . You're a rare breed with something different and special inside you .
Yes. I think the mossies and flesh eating fly's would drive me mental in a few day's. He never complains about them. Those Newfoundlands are made different.
From the vantage of Ontario, I've always wanted to explore both coasts (the third coast has less appeal ;) and did Vancouver Island back in the 80s. That peninsula in NFLD was second choice but never made it. Thanks for taking us with you, Justin (and Saku!) and distilling the romance from reality. Doesn't get anymore primal than a boy and his dog!!
They sell these vests for hunting dogs that protect their chests and bellies from that rough stuff. Maybe you should look into one? Glad to see you out again. Been a long time.
Great to see you back; you provide a truly unique, genuine view of a part of Canada that few are familiar with. I enjoyed experiencing your journey through parts of the northern peninsular. I have experienced brush similar to what you showed in BC's far north (sometimes called 'shin tangle' or 'buck brush' that grows from centimetres to metres high) but nothing on the scale of what you fought through. Interesting that even modest elevation gains got you into more open tundra - I guess that speaks to the cold winds that are prevalent there for much of the year. I especially appreciated that your fishing was strictly for food sustenance, rather than pointless stress-inducing catch & release.
Looks like the route Danny would have taken in Earle Pilgrams “will anyone search for Danny” read that book many years ago, gives me a new appreciation for his and your hardship! Great video
Watching from OZ... great content. Like the difference of our wild spaces.. A fair dinkum bloke in the bush with a bloody good dog.. well done mate... 😎
An outstanding video Justin. The editing is top shelf, as is the musical selections. I must admit that I am a bit envious mate. The brain tumor/mini-stroke that brought my high speed, low drag lifestyle to an abrupt end makes me long for the adventure shown in your videos. Cheers to you, Heather, and Saku. Merry Christmas and best wishes for a happy New and prosperous new year.🎉
Thank you for your kind note, it is very much appreciated. Slow, but steady adventure is still a viable option. Once I get off this latest round chemo. 🤙
Awesome adventure , we were glued to our seats as you and Saku pushed through the rough territory and glad you made it. Looking forward to more adventures to come along with you. Take care. Been following all your espiodes from the very beginning, thanks .Merry Christmas to you and family
Thanks Justin for uploading. I'm watching this with my two dogs at the moment; one of which leaves us today, unfortunately, due to cancer. I needed this as a distraction from the horrible afternoon that's upon us. As always, thank you and be safe.
I was over in September hunting Caribou with my son in Central Newfoundland and we had a time ! Enjoyed it very much, we are heading back in 2026 to hunt moose. Can’t wait !
So glad to see you back in the woods! Saku looks in great shape as always. Can’t wait for the release of the last long distance! Keep on, keeping on!!😊❤️
It made my day to see your video pop up! It's always a real treat to watch you and Saku traipsing through the wilderness. Thanks for posting this on RUclips. It was sure nice seeing you again!
Great to see you posting again! This film sure was worth the wait, well done Justin and Saku. I look forward to seeing your year long adventure too, I'm sure there's an amazing story there waiting to be told. Take care, and stay safe out there😊
Thank you Justin and Saku. Well worth the wait! I can only imagine the editing work you have ahead of you with the Big Journey footage! Merry Christmas and a happy new year from a lovely sunny, warm summers day in New Zealand Downunder. Look forward to seeing you guys in 2025! 🎉🎉
I've been waiting for this video for about 2 years. Can't wait to dig in. Have to pause now though because she'll be disappointed if I watch without her. She enjoys watching your channel as much as I do.
