In all honesty I've always felt Mysterio really hamstrung himself in constantly going after a superhero who specifically has super senses that let him perceive danger through any kind of illusion.

Mysterio has invented a gas that dulls Spider-Man's Spider-Sense in the comics, so it's not like he can't put up a fight. He also almost tricked Daredevil into killing a baby by making Matt think the baby was the Anti-Christ, and, in the Old Man Logan bad future, he tricked Wolverine into killing all the X-Men, even some of the students! Mysterio is no joke when given enough preptime!

There's pretty much always been continuity in his videos; it's most obvious with the Superfriends one. I think this is just the first time there's been a callback in a (cartoon) Spider-Man-related video specifically.
Can’t wait to see how Spidey reacts to his other rouges. Like Electro’s sad lonely existence, Sandman’s slow molecular decay, Kraven possibly being a larper, and maybe Vulture’s arms got broken and he wants to try crime the old fashioned way.
