It's designed for both. The psu use in this PC is used in many differnt pcs. I agree the spec are lower. But it's also cheap. You pay for what you get.
i have the amd verson so far so good i did add an 80mm fan to the side and of course it got a memory upgrade and just added a soundcard for optical output only complaint it has issues with skylines

Just recently upgraded my platform decided to stick with ddr4 since I have a good 32gb kit of it. Went with an mATX Asus Prime z690 d4 with pcie gen 5 capability for the gpu and 4 m.2 slots, 2 of the slots are gen 4 (3 for storage and one for wifi) added a cheap intel wifi card. Have 1.5tb of nvme storage. Bought a ASUS ROG 6600xt and paired it with a 12600k OCd to 5.2ghz on p cores and 4ghz on e cores cooling it with a Noctua NH-D15S Black in a cooler master mb311l case with 5 rgb fans and a 550w asus strix psu.
@@TNW1337 I was mistaken. The Victus line up does come with Wifi 6 for each. It's the newest HP Pavilions desktops that have this issue. The TP01-3025t with the Intel i-core 5 has a Wifi 6 card, but not its AMD equivalent the TP01-2165z with the Ryzen 5 5600G -- it's left with only a Wifi 5 card. The Realtek RTL8822CE.
Yes I can. 1st they are using a 12Volt only PSU. Normal ATX has been slow to adopt this. Also the CPU they use are only 65Watts. It allows them to get away with 2 or 3, 4 Pin connectors only and a 7pin control cable. But Personal built computer they have to cover every use case. This can be from a 32Core monster to users that will run a 2 or 4 core baby. That why they have so many wires. It will cover all use cases. Also most people that built computer run more then 2 case fans, This all starts to add up in wattage needed and used. More Parts you add and the bigger the parts are, start to take up more wattage. Same holds true for hard drives.
@@tiger_killer Yes, look for DDR4 3200. You'll need a stick rated for 1.2V at 3200. Should have a green/grey PCB with exposed chips. Not anything with RGB lighting, or any decoration/heat sink on top. Timings should be 22-22-22-52. 2933 with 21-21-21-49, or 2666 19-19-19-43 is also okay.

I have a TG01-2220ng with a 310W power supply. The built-in GTX 1660 Super should have a TDP of 125W. I will replace the graphics card with an RX 6600 (132W TDP). Unfortunately, there is no comparable graphics card from Nvidia with such a low power consumption. Do you think this will work well?

The graphics card is integrated into the 5 5600g and that might run like 40 to 60 fps on WARZONE but if u really need a graphics card u can get either an rtx 6500 or a gtx 1650 first check if there compatible with your motherboard that should get you around 60+ fps

Main gripe with the keyboard (from my TG01) for me is the inability to switch Fn/F keys, and (as far as I know) no Num Lock. Makes it hard to use in a simulator which needs F1-3 to change viewpoints. Also seems harder to use multiple keys at the same time. Sometimes won't respond when steering + throttle in something like Euro Truck Simulator. So I'm still using the good old cheapo Logitech keyboard from 2015, with the new one being a substitute when I want it quiet haha

Particularly offensive is the proprietary nature of this prebuilt, which limits upgrade paths and increases eventual e-waste without lowering the price. A similarly priced, similarly spec'd prebuilt with standard parts provides much more value to entry level gamers.
Thats kind of a smug reply considering you suggest a similarly priced prebuild offers more value but then dont provide any solutions - you just make a suggestion. I recently purchased this pc for $554.00 on sale. If you go to say, Amazon, and price out similar parts down the line - picking, suggestively - the cheapest parts available, you end up with a similarly priced PC (subtotal of $553.12 to be exact - in my cart anyway). Quite specifically, the only "real" issue with this PC is PSU - since it does provide legitimate upgrade options with additional SSD, RAM up to 32gb, and you can even swap the CPU later, however, the i3 12100f is just fine. Not to mention, @TechNitWit has another video adding an AIO using this same prebuild. I'd like to add in a 1660 TI myself, and while I feel like the overall power requirements of this unit may allow me to do that (if correct, about 290w with the 1660 TI), the PSU does not include an 8 pin connector. With all that said, nobody is buying this to crank out 1440p ultra. You buy this on sale for around what I paid and you're right in the ballpark if you build it yourself. By doing that, you can play A LOT of games in 1080p 60fps. At the end of the day, its not always about what you want, but what you need and if you're only playing Guild Wars 2 at 1080p - then this PC is perfect. Unfortunately, it looks like I will need to spend more than I hoped so I can at least get a 400w PSU in the case - which will set me back another $100.00. For now, I'll bite the bullet until it makes sense to move down an upgrade path.

Maybe a Wifi 6 or Wifi 6e card. I don't know why the AMD versions of these desktops have Wifi 5 cards while the Intel versions have Wifi 6.

Yes you can use 1.35v ram. it will just downclock it a bit, a loss of 7-15 FPS

Bought it on Costco sale for $700. Not bad for 5700G, 32GB RAM, 6600XT. My favorite part of the case is the V logo infinity mirror on the front panel.

Yes you will want dual channel ram. Depending on what PSU you have will determine what GPU you could upgrade to.

You can pretty much upgrade anything in the pavilion although if you want to upgrade your psu you will need the oem hp psu

Pretty much, they did change some stuff with the power supply but it still fits in the older HP's
IMO this is trash. Lowest end everything. Upgrade the ram, CPU, GPU, PSU, the case and mobo are proprietary.
