Thanks! This was the most entertaining and comprehensive step by step guide on how to remove that pesky cover. omg! Looking forward to more of your videos Sir!
Nice video. On start up you can clearly hear you have at least one failed rocker. The ticking is very apparent. The longer you leave it, the more likely you are to need to replace the camshaft as well as the the rocker. I just bought a 2016 Cherokee for my wife and in the middle of the cam replacement as well as full set of lifters and rockers.
Yes, when I filmed this I was waiting on the parts to come in. I had a 1 camshaft with 3 flat lobes. While I was in there I went ahead and did all the rockers. I just don’t believe it when people just replace the bad ones. When it’s apart do it all.
Hello. Was looking how to put the fuel rail back on correctly. It felt like they seated OK, but now leaking fuel when running. Still trying to find the correct O-Ring set. Should all the O-rings be replaced right away? Thanks
In addition to doing the plugs the because it’s open, I would add even more work and go for that plastic oil cooler lol. And I’m sure there’s probably even more lol.
Nice video, help me out for changing my oil cooler...wanted to ask, is there a way or a trick to pull out the fuel injector off these jeep? seems like there is no screw, or nuts, but its just a push in, so to pull it out, I guess you just pull out?
They just pull out once the fuel rail is out of the way. Sometimes the injectors will come out with the fuel rail. Just make sure that all the o-rings are on the injectors and not stuck in the intake or the rail.
What gasket kit did you use? I have 1 bad fuel injector, but planning on changing all 6 on my 2016 Jeep Cherokee Limited 3.2 with stop/start, ugh. I was quoted $177.86 each. OMG! 😲 I need to order from RockAuto. Thanks.
@@ProjectVenture Thank you so much. I have no one to help me buy parts. The mechanics just write down what you should order & you find it. I wanted the gaskets cause what you said. Thanks again!
I would recommend releasing the fuel pressure when able. It might just squirt a little gas but there is also a chance that it is under a lot of pressure and be dangerous. You could possibly end up with fluid injection injuries.
@@DR82nd you can pull the fuse for the fuel pump and then start it and let it run out of fuel and then try it a couple more times. I can’t remember which fuse off hand it is.

Just threw the same code today. Guess I have a weekend project ahead of me. Thanks for the video.
Good luck.
Thank you so much you made this so simple and saved me five hundred bucks
Glad I could help
The air intake hose silicone lubricant spray on the ends. Just a helpful tip, for every vehicle
Nice video! Great explanation on what to do.
Tools on the battery is always exciting

I would replace all the orings. Double check and make sure you don’t have an old oring down in the injector hole.
Awesome video

I agree. I ended up doing the oil cooler later anyway.
Yep - I replaced mine with an aluminium cooler. Naughty Jeep, putting crappy plastic in the valley!
Great video

Can I know where did you get the fuel injectors? What's the part number of it? Thank you
I got my fuel injectors at my local oreilly auto parts. Part number STD FJ1267 made by Standard Ignition.
Thanks!
you didn’t show how to take the red tabs off for the injection. that’s why i came to watch you video. 🥴😬🤔🙄🤦♂️😱
Mine just lift straight up but not all the way out.
I use a hook or a bent screwdriver to lift up in it.

I’m not sure. It was either a mid tier from rock auto or Oreillys. Wow, that’s over a grand for all 6.
@ProjectVenture
Please excuse my uneducated self, but would part # MS19879 MAHLE/Chevite Plenum chamber Gaskets at RockAuto be correct?
@@urpreposterous682 That should work just fine.

Do you not HAVE to release fuel pressure first?
If I don’t will it just squirt a little gas when I take the rail off?

I broke the same part and it broke really easy.
Yes, very easy
I broke the fuel line fitting now there is a puddle of gas on my manifold
😬😬😬
For the cost of the injectors...why not just replace as a... while you're in there,.... school of thought
Ballin on a budget, lol.
3:06 was an Instagram post.😂
What size is the torx for the fuel rail
Sorry for the late reply. Mine is a t30 torx
And I'm getting charged an arm and leg for what you just did
I’m sorry to hear that.
How much did you pay for this service?
It's starting it just not catching
