Trendmasters actually did some decent stuff back in the 90's. Look up their Kaiju stuff. They had a really good Godzilla line and even a Heisei era Gamera line that goes for insane money if you can find them. They had a fairly good and well liked Independence Day line. They also had a Mars Attacks line. And had a really hard to find Voltron line. They produced some really great figures and toys with lots of action features. But they had lousy license selection.

I would buy those Little Nicky figures. Some Mcfarlane toys from back in the day really did age well. Just look at the new Overtkill from compared to Overtkill III from 2001

Just want to point out there already were toy lines of Reserviir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Bastards. Like you said earlier Todd Mcfarlane would do figures of just about any license. I recall buying the reservoir dogs figs back when they had released the Sun City ones as well. So that’s like 2005 or something like that

This was an AWESOME video, but how do you not remember Trendmasters?! In the 90’s, they made toys for Independence Day, Godzilla, Mars Attacks, Extreme Ghostbusters, and more. I dare say I had more of their toys than I did Kenner or Mattel in the 90’s!

I am surprised Speed Racer didn't make the list. That isn't to say that isn't a brand undeserving of a Toy Line, but the movie flopped, the toy line flopped. Hell, I think at one point TRU was giving them away for free with the purchase of "x" amount of dollars.
I still see some of them at bargain outlets.

the flintstones toyline was cool because the reason they looked so weird was because they were trying to make the movie characters in the style of the cartoon. It was fun, i thought. The kids who wanted the more accurate toys of the movie itself were probably more drawn to the bendable figures. they were fare more accurate in terms of proportions.

Just paused your video at 1:13. So, of the top of my head, I'll guess the Robin Hood: Prince of Theives toyline? With so many reused parts from other toy lines like having Frier Tuck's body being a Gamariain guards body, and, other lines like Robocop and Super Powers. I also remember seeing the commercials, and seeing that cool castle... which wasn't even a playset at all.

Yup, those be Ka Ka toy-- lines! Trendmaster attempted a toy line for the Lost In Space movie, with Gary Oldman. It was horrible, but not very memorable. They did a classic Jupiter 2 the 60's TV show. The Saucer was well do e shape wise. It had the Robot, Will and Dr Smith figures. Also a really bad squatty looking Shuttle. They really cut corners on the interior. I would give 2.5 out of 5.

Honestly you should have put the batman as the number one movie toy line . Ive seen the over priced figures that no one wants . Even the McFarlane figures have dust on then . Coming up next is the Thor 4 line of cheap looking toys . The good toys have gone up to $35 to $40 for a 6 or 7 inch figure and even the garbage figures are to much . I hope the toy industry can survive this inflation.

Cone Heads has to be the worst! My brother and I were at a comic shop in the White Marsh Mall, in Maryland. I bought a Medieval Witchblade figure. He bought a Beldar. I rightfully chastised him the entire week. Beldar was in his black uniform. The stand looked like the insignia on his uniform and actually said, "Beldar," on it. Like the pointed head wouldn't give his identity away.

Anyone remember DragonBall Evolution? You wish you didn’t? Sorry! But they actually had a toy line with a build a figure for the Oozaru (Goku’s giant ape form), and it looked nothing like the ape form that was in the movie! Probably because the design the toy was based on leaked online and it fans hated it so much they reshot the movie at the last minute.

No Warriors of Virtue. Fail. Dishonorable mentions: Dragonheart, Steel, Dune (1984), Planet of the Apes (2001), Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Over the Top. Men in Black. Super Mario Bros: The Move. Street Fighter: The Movie
    Agree -
Battleflied Earth - The death of Trend
The Coneheads - What were you thinking?
Made sense but didn't turn out -
    The Flintstones -
Starship Troopers - Not the first rated R movie to be targeted to kids.
Little Nicky - Sandler was huge and McFarlane liked making figures of weird moves at the time (Movie Maniacs, Strange Brew).
    Disagree -
Django is a long running series of movies. On top of that the line was aimed at adults. Grow up Karens.
Demolition Man - New Adventures of He-Man parts. I like the film and the MOTU connections increases my own personal interests in the this line.
Last Action Hero - One of those figures became my Dutch with my Kenner Alien vs Predator figures. Not bad toys at all. However history is incorrect on this. The studios bet on Last Action Hero to be the big blockbuster that summer. Not Jurassic Park. Why Last Action Hero had the far bigger multimedia push.
