There's an extra detail that's easy to miss in the movie. Before fighting breaks out at the fancy dinner there is a gorgeous redhead in a green and white dress walking around. She is wearing special earrings known in the comics as a hunting license. they basically look like a zoom in of a spawns face. She is literally an Angel, out to hunt demons. It would have been really nice in the movie to see an Angel versus Spawn or Violator.
Thank goodness there are people who actually appreciate Spawn the movie. It's awesome and as a kid I never thought it was goofy and I was pretty aware of goofy movies at that time.

My understanding is that the numbers that flash up in the cartoon shows where the cartoon happens within the comics. I watched the cartoon straight after watching the original Hellsing anime, and honestly, I couldn't say which was better.
My only problem with the animated series was that it ended on a cliffhanger. Wanda was impregnated by Spawn, Angela only made a cameo, and the whole Mask of Genghis Khan plot was never resolved.
Soony 005 The HBO Series was amazing. McFarland had to take the animation to Japan because no American animation studios could get the look he wanted. I think they did a hell of a job. And Keith David as Spawn was EPIC. EPIC!

But John Leguizamo petitioned to let him play the role squatting instead of standing up, and thus the special effects crew were relieved of one more detail. Not a big fact, true, but worth mentioning.
Not only that, but the Clown suit required him to squat in order to fit inside it, so he had to endure the entire production squatting while carrying around nearly 50 pounds of extra weight from the fat suit and special effects makeup.

"Sphwan" is a true classic!
I really enjoyed this movie.
Minty you're so cool! I love how far your work has come and how enjoyable the videos are. You seem to have more confidence or something, cause the pace and timing now is so perfect. I love a lot of the same films and your appreciation for them. Please keep up the good work. You rock!
Spawn in the comics looked more like a mix between venom and nemisis :)
The Spawn books were really cool , well drawn and had a gripping story
The violator terrified me, probably more than Pennywise as a kid.
So glad Minty gave a mention to Iced Earth...one of my favorite bands
I love Graeme Revell`s score, especially the Main Title Theme
I love all your videos and you've done most of my favorite cult classics from my youth, my friend was aSpawn fanatic and I wish he would get a proper reboot(I still like this one)
I've been begging for this for months! Thanks mint
I can’t believe we haven’t gotten another Spawn movie. A hard R Spawn movie would absolutely kill it at the box office nowadays.
Spawn was an awesome movie. I still remember seeing it in the theaters. I would live to see a new one made by Todd McFarlane. With an R rating.
Minty again my mind is blown on the collection that you have, very awesome of you.
Absolutely. Spawn should be made into a movie series now. I would be onboard for that. Interesting story, compelling characters. Spawn was my comic book series back in the day.
My favorite all time series as a young kid growing up in the 90s I wasn't even really into "comics" I was into Spawn.. Can't wait for the new movie and hope for another animated series as well. Love the Spawn universe!
I love that you have Orbital's track "SATAN" as the backing music Minty, even though it was in EVENT HORIZON, it would've fit this movie WAY better! And I proper love SPAWN! It got a bit panned for the CGI apparently looking really bad, but i like the movie still. And the comics. Nice vid Minty, nice one!!! 😄😄
