to make things more visually pleasing you can make the outline a darker shade of the objects color instead of pure black, for example with the blue bubble you can find a darker blue color that fits well
I thought this video was made by a very big channel that I didn't know but after checking how many subscribers you have, you deserve more attention tbh.
Absolutely am loving the game dev content you're making! Can i possibly suggest that if you do a challenge like this again, you give yourself 24 hours total not just the 24 hours in a single day? I think it would be interesting to see what all you can get into a game instead of being limited on time based on just how much you slept! Then again this was kinda just like a 24 hour game jam so maybe im just a dumdum
Thank you so much! I can try that, but it's also a lot easier to keep track of time if I go off of the 24 hours in a day. With my last video I lost track of time and felt bad 🤣 Next vid I'll have 48 hours!
I feel like there was a missed opporunity to make the second 'o' in pop to play a bubble that when you burst would fade out the rest of the text. Would have been a smooth transition into the gameplay.
Fun fact sin waves are made from a circle radius rotating around where the y of the end of the radius is the y of the sin wave and for a sin wave it starts at 90 degrees and for a cosine wave 0 degrees also, sin and cos waves are mainly used for triginometry like law of the cosines which is ((b^2+c^2-a^2)/(2bc)) or law of the sins
It would add an exciting dynamic to your game if you implemented a feature where holding the bubbles causes them to grow, and releasing them results in a satisfying pop!
That was a cool video! When doing shadows, make sure that it's more like a darker version of the background color, so for this one (pink) you could try using a dark red! Looks really clean in my opinion :) Hope this helps in future projects! (I subbed hehe)
Maybe make a scoreboard for this game? Bubble - 1 point Golden Bubble - 5 points And add more types of bubbles for more points. Also I had an idea for a leaderboard.
Yeah, I think a discord server would be great. You could even male a channel where people can suggest video ideas if you want. I also have a bit of experience with Discord, so I could be a mod if you need.
Good for 24H With more time you could use shaders, a distorsion and camera to add much more juiciness With the title I expected much more satisfying but maybe cause Im a dev
it was a realy great experiance ( i wasted 10 hours playing). although i have some idea to make it more satisfying. first i would make the brown noise something more bubble related like shower brown noise or something. and also i encountered a bug where if you pop a bubble on the menu button it bring you back to the menu, but it is great becouse i can pop multible bubbles because of that so i don't know what to do with it.
It being open source was a big deal for me and it can rival unity in 2D. 3D wasn’t a big deal to me when I started and I figured I’d probably use Unreal for 3D anyways. Also it being super lightweight and easy to run and stable. I have very few complaints for the engine!
@@youshouldknowmyusername I didn’t make it for mobile so I’m not surprised it didn’t work for that. I can try to upload the .exe file for it. Sorry about that happening, I’m not sure why the browser would crash for you.
the game is great. except for the "soft cursor." i hate that. it drives me mad. i like being able to have good control over everything (well, in a context like this)

So simple, but it looks so clean. I'm gonna go play on itch.
Thanks!
You could make the particles make a plopping noise when hitting the bottom of the screen. Like rain in a pond
If the bursts are just small bubbles can they be popped as well?
Visually they are downsized bubbles, but functionally not.
Woah there, why so less subs than I thought. Sub to this guy, he deserves it.

the second o in pop?
@@r0o0di. In 'to' 🤣 the second 'o' in 'pop to play'. Or just make it poop to play

One thing that would make the game literally Perfect. Different sizes of bubbles
wow. you are so so underrated man!

You’re pretty amazing! Not sure I could manage to pull this off lol

i like to wait for all the bubbles to stack and pop them at the same time

godot has the perfect inbuilt animation for bubbles in the tween, called trans_elastic that you could easily use
you are obsessed with blue cartoony highlighted orbs.
Very nice for a starter btw you just gained a sub

Bro i think of this exact poping bubble game like a few weeks ago what a coincidence😂😂😂😂.btw keep it up
bubbles can spawn on the menu button resetting it!! a bit annoying but wtever
I really like your theme. Can you send your theme setting?
Yo what if you make the particles intractable with the other bubbles?
You have a point!
Tbh I think so too
I mean like guys it would be quite troublesome to do that right? I mean the whole challenge was to make it in 24 hours.
Well actually, he spent 30 minutes after 24 hours to do minor tweaking
Minor tweaking not adding a whole mechanic to the game!
Mouse delay is the most unsatisfying thing in this video
Look between G&O

gambit i’m gonna make this on scratch such a good idea :)

You could have added a counter for how many bubbles the player popped 😅 But overall the game is good ❤
0:28 "Then i wasted over 2 hours getting absoloutly nothing done" programming in a nutshell😂😢
i didnt knew that godot is cool
U should add points and use them to get better chances of the golden bubble
i hate u for the alarm clock noise (it jumpscared me)
The Bubble is similar to Poki logo
Now we need the worst run on it.
You forgot a scoring system!
The only thing that would make it cooler if there were points and upgrades but really cool game

great video but customize your cursor in Godot are more easy than you done.
