@@jefferybeene6563 disconnect the drain hose then use a big screwdriver and hammer to knock out the plug while the garbage disposal is still hooked up. Just make sure to secure the garbage disposal somehow so that it can't move (i crawl up under the sink and use my knee) because the disposal can move and bust the pvc pipe connected to it, and then you're having a really bad day.. 😅🍻
Omg I installed mine and didnt realize there was a cover because when it was unboxed by my nephew he set it off to the side. Is that thing really needed?

Drain hose is originally routed up and over the tub and is retained by clips. Must it remain in this posture? Should it be routed differently?
