I think Luz brought the boiling rain down on Philip to destroy him with the last of her Titan power. It didnt hurt her and ended as soon as he died.
Oooooh, I hadn't really considered that. While first watching I just figured that the boiling rain didn't affect her because SUPERPOWERS, but realized later that the boiling rain was a weather phenomenon caused by the Boiling Isles i.e. The Titan and so her temporary Titan form probably didn't have to do anything special to protect her. As such I thought it maybe possible the Titan somehow did it as a final act against Belos 🤔, but I like this one step further that you're thinking!
This is one of my favorite series finales of all time. It’s my new favorite episode.

Now you need a re-watch for the details you missed like the Flapjack tattoos, things on Luz's bulletin board (pay attention to the signature on her scholarship), the familiar looking student being welcomed at Hexside, the schools of magic that also represents the people that Luz loves on her pants, her shoes being the Azura costume colors complete with the stars, the pics of Vee, the stuff written on the schematics for the new museum wing of the library, how Lilith looks like Cissy Jones near the end, that Eda was sweating a bit when she stuck her hand out to Camila before Camila grabbed her & King into a hug with her & Luz, the schools of magic patches on Hunter's work apron, the bat babies being an emo, rapper, and a punk, pictures on Eda's office wall, the basilisks that sleep outside it, the Hooty face on the door, Raine's picture, and more.
Just an FYI, Dana says that Hunter's new palisman is named Waffles & Dana says she considers her Flapjack's little sister.
I mentioned in the video description that I've been re-watching and seeing more things pointed out, and a number of those details I did actually notice the first time through for the reaction! In fact my incomplete sputtering around 31:36 was supposed to be commenting on the Bat Queen's babies ^.^ I don't pause the video at all like some reactors do, so it's not easy to comment on everything I notice especially when there's lots of details going by quickly or I'm already attempting to complete a train of thought or I'm having a hard time focusing due to emotional events taking place. However, there are also definitely some things I wouldn't have easily noticed myself, which is why I'm still on the lookout for people calling attention to them on social media or even here in the comments 😁 Gotta take all the crumbs we can get now that it's over 😭

Great video and reaction! So often people are kind of over the top in reactions, which makes sense and doesn't bother me, but I really enjoy reactions that feel more grounded and relatable like this. I love the owl house so much and I'm glad it ended so beautifully.

I've been checking out a lot of different react creators as of late just to get an idea for how different people do things and I know what you mean, seems like there are a bunch of folks (some of whom are pretty popular) that either overreact like crazy to everything or seem to just sit and stare (like this 😐) though almost the entire show, haha. Not gonna name names or delve too deep into trash talk, but it does make you wonder a little 😅 I guess I'm just hoping to entertain with genuine and real reactions and commentary 🙂
And I'm also incredibly impressed with how well Dana and the crew did ending this series. This season 3 might not have been as long as we wanted it to be but it definitely punched above its weight class so to speak and I personally thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated it (as was likely obvious) 😊
A bad ending can really ruin a show for me and I’m so glad that’s not the case with TOH. Even with the time crunches and the show being cancelled, they managed to bring us a satisfying ending that captured the magic of this show. I can’t wait to rewatch this show again on Disney plus once this finale is added to it.
_Exactly!_ The way a show ends carries so much weight and in the past I have definitely had series that I enjoyed *until* the final episode/season. Feels real bad 😞

Yeah this was a fittingly beautiful end for this amazing series. This show has really meant a lot to me and as someone who is both queer and neurodivergent I really appreciate having a main character like Luz. I've never really connected with a story in the same way that I have with the Owl House, and it's because of that and also just how consistently great this show is all the way through that make it my favourite show of all time. Loved this finale and I agree about the happy ending, I think it really fits here and I love that these characters all got satisfying conclusions. I've looked at your channel and while it seems like you mostly watch anime, but if you liked the Owl House there are some other really good animated shows I can recommend like Infinity Train and Steven Universe. Would love to maybe see your reactions to those.
I've already seen Steven Universe and Infinity Train (except for Book 4 still) and absolutely love them! Steven Universe and Gravity Falls were actually the first series that I watched reactions to on RUclips way back several years ago 😁 I've also already seen shows like She-Ra and Arcane (multiple times as a matter of fact 😅) so I'm not sure how many of the great cartoons of recent times I've still yet to see that I could potentially react to, haha
Speaking of SU, I hope that TOH doesn't get a similar treatment where after a year or so people start actively downplaying how great its story, characters, and representation are. We start seeing some of that revisionist nonsense again and I'm gonna have problems 😠

Watching other reacts that mentioned this series I just binged it a week or two ago and while It was a struggle to stay with it in the beginning I’m glad I did as the pay off was soooooo worth it. I also really enjoyed your commentary on the significance of this final episode. I’d like to add while it is sad to see this show end I am thrilled it got to end in a proper fashion. That’s just not something a lot of shows get to do these days.
It definitely starts a little slow as it sets everything up, but once it gets going it doesn't really slow down until it makes it all the way to the end! And while I of course would have liked to see more of this show, these characters, and their world - it really can't be overstated how important it was that the series got to end in the way that it did. Lotta folks love to get super ragey at Disney for cancelling the show, and while it's understandable to be upset, I just think they oughta recognize more that there was probably a very real possibility of us just _not_ getting this 3rd season at all 😬

Well if you consider that the ending of The Owl House was too happy for what the series was, then Amphibia will not disappoint you with the ending that leaves you. Obviously from where that ending left off where the comic begins. Even people thought that the ending of The Owl House was going to be like Amphibia's.

The crown was called "The Archive", I think.
I think you're right. However when the kids woke up from being puppets I think they said "we're in The Archives" and that temporarily made me associate that name with the puppet room specifically and not the entire crown building that The Collector created 🤔
