It looks like a fantastic camera! How does its dynamic range compare to the R5C and C400? Does it offer 16 stops like the C400? I'm considering getting one, but I've never been impressed by the dynamic range of Canon's mirrorless cameras. Additionally, I've never understood how so many camera brands advertise their dynamic range when it often falls short of the actual usable dynamic range. Only Blackmagic and Arri come close to delivering what they claim.
@@mattdamarell Don't be an as.%ole, for all of those who are expecting to adjust aperture or speed on vertical that grip has not that function. I thought it had on first sight, but found.out it hasn't, actually the first grip I see it hasn't.
Can you feel a bit fooled as an R3 owner??? Like a major swiss photo retailer rightly points out ... with the R5 II, the R5C and R3 are obsolete! I'm actually about to sell all my Canon equipment (R3, RF 600 4.0, EF 300 2.8 II, EF 200 2.0, RF 70-200 2.8 and RF 15-35 2.8) and finally switch to Leica, who still value good customers ... 😒
Dude it's called Planned obsolescence theory, the way you should acquire your gear it's based on your needs and skills set. Don't be fooled by all whistle and buzz of marketing campaigns. But like all new tech improvements it's all there to make a product better, it's just what it's and remember it's about the story telling and not the gear as much. All the best with your endeavour
@@GizmoMaxx it's not planned obsolescence. planned obsolescence is where something is designed to artificially cease to function after a certain time period. Like an iPhone that will no longer work once Apple stops releasing updates. That R3 or R5C will continue to work until it physically fails. And Canon will continue to repair it long after sale of those devices stop as they have for many very old Canon cameras.
Great to see the R5 mkii in a real project. Great explanations and video. Thank you.
We cooked on this one ❤

Hi! The EOS R5 Mark II has 16+ stops of dynamic range in C Log 2 and 4K Fine at 29.97 or 25p.
Same DR Than C400 and about 1stop dr better Than R5C However 4k oversampled its just up to 30p
Amazing!
Which lens did you use?
ALL OF THEM (among others, the RF 10-20, 85mm 1.2, 100-300 f/2.8, 24-105 f/2.8, 28-70 f/2). Let us know which you spotted!

How could Canon miss not having any function buttons on the fan battery grip for vertical shooting????
How could you miss that there are other grips for that????
