I just received my RM "Pocket" (w/ELRS) last week, and I'm very impressed. And, I love that it has 16 channels if I so need. The gimbals are just right for me and the feel is that it fits perfectly in my hands. It's not too big and bulky or too small either. Pair this up with a decent pair of goggles, and you have a winning combination for flying your drone.
Very glad you love it so much 😎 it’s now my favourite radio even tho I thought I’d still be using my jumper t pro I always grab this one! It’s perfect to just throw in a bag and especially if you’re flying micro drones 😎😎 I thought the small gimbals would be weird but I’ve gotten so used to them! Happy flying 😎🥳
You definitely can!! These radios don’t need the best batteries to function well because they are relatively low power consumption. I use very similar batteries to what you have with no problems
It seems you have to put in the password which is expresslrs. For me it just connects because it already saved the password😎 try writing expresslrs in password and you should be good 👍🏽
Ok it let me in but when I entered the binding phrase which is also inserted in the receiver card on betaflight but when I save it tells me upload Failed what can I do to resolve it
@@donjohnson7746 I actually never tried it on an AMD chipset, but I can say that the way the betafpv lite radio connects is using a different driver system to what other radios use. I never heard anyone having trouble on AMD with any edge tx radio. The pocket uses the very same driver as any other edge tx radio you can buy. So you will be ok 👍🏽
@@DanielSingerX yes in order to get the betafpv light radio 3 to work I had to down grade the radio. Sucked, Wich is why I just got this little one. I have two betafpv radios now one I can use for simulators on the laptop another to fly Wich in my case the boxer radio would have been a better idea but the cost was higher now I'm well above that lol 🤣
Yes you can! I’m not sure how but I’ve seen people change it. It’s either the screws on the back of the gimbal or you just have to open it and physically swap the gimbals and change configuration in the software
I got a Radiomaster Pocket to replace my included Emax radio that failed in a month flat. This radio is about 25% more money for like 200% more radio. The games are a nice touch too, especially the little angle mode racing sim.
That’s great to hear! This was to be my back up radio but it quickly became my main one haha! It comes with me everywhere! I recently just tried the games and was smiling how good they are. Really an amazing radio
WOW your telling me i don't have to flash my binding phrase on the RM Pocket? You just brought up WiFi and connected and added the phrase? That easy? I read i have to build my phrase.please help me
@@user-hi5quadxplorer Yes that’s how I set mine up! But I would recommend making sure the firmwares are all up to date and matching both on the radio and receiver. You can try just doing it as I showed here and it may work and you will be fine. But receivers often ship with all kinds of different versions of ELRS and some may not bind because of the firmwares being too far apart
Nice review! I have the Jumper T-Lite (Multi Protocol) and it works great. I'd been thinking of getting the ELRS Module for the Jumper. It's about half the price of The RadioMaster Pocket, but it's extra bulk (and probably exta power drain as well) This Radiomaster is looking very appealing at the moment! How do you think it would compare? Jumper+ELRSmodule Vs. RadioMaster Pocket I may just want it because it looks cool, but the removable sticks, and built-in ELRS may just tip the scales!
Thank you 😎 I got the jumper t lite also with a Happymodel Elrs module and I flew that for a good while before getting the T-pro with built in ELRS and I can say I much prefer having the internal ELRS for sure 👌 I would say the only deciding factor for you would be budget. If you can spare the extra for the Radiomaster I’d say certainly go for it!! A module definitely adds bulk and power drain for the t-lite was definitely noticeable with its 1s battery.
me I thought same and bought ELRS modul for jumper yes it is "economy" and more powerful solution bcus Pocket is max 250mw but extra ELRS modul can be 500/1000mw! Otherhand! I like jumper bcus small and light... but with ELRS modul turn to heavier and bigger like a "brick" if join extra modul then modul is moving in tray and noise if remove modul then pin inside the tray possible to get damages! Soo? now I bought Pocket and try to sell jumper. I will use only ELRS not anymore 4in1 spec FrSky! No need Xm+ anymore! Normal trsnsmitter power is 80-100mw! Finally pocket/250mw is more stronger than normal 4in1! Xm+? it is old model 7-8years old! It is working but time is gone and I got memory problem on Xm+.... 7 years old! In future possible to get more problem..... time of Xm+ is over! gone.....
@@csakegysenki1930 my friend just bought the Pocket so will be looking forward to testing it out (when it arrives). But I think you're right, XM+ is last-gen. I want to move to ELRS, and also to Digital VTX/RX for next season - just need the funds!
I put both volume and light on potentiometer for adjustment, so dimmer n volume down at same time. Handy to save battery or quiet down any annoying voices especially at start up if youv'e loaded voices etc at home position on switches, it calls them all out at start up. haha.
This is actually a BRILLIANT idea 😎! I’m going to do this! I forgot we have these options now! I’m yet to play with customising voices but you’ve now inspired me haha! Thanks for this!
Radiomaster tx16se for $99 would of been perfect especially with no built in tx. You'll only need a TBS crossfire 2W or Radiomaster ELRS ranger 2W module anyways .. later to fly that long range FPV airplane 100km, not just a quad, when you figure out how to broadcast video that far of course. Then add AG01 gimbals and gimbal LEDS. Too bad they do not make the ts16se anymore.
Thanks for the nice video :) I see that you also have Literadio 3 pro, if you would have to recommend radio for the beginner would you recommend radiomaster pocket or literadio 3 pro?
U are welcome 😎 I would recommend the Radiomaster pocket! The light radio 3 pro is also a good choice but the switches are not good quality and not smooth. The pocket is a very well built radio for the price!
Hi iam a beginner i need buy this radiomaster pocket which version is good for me Is the elrs version can support all the radio recievers like flysky IA6B etc..or only the elrs version And what about cc2500
cc2500 can support "frsky" protocols only and elrs version can support elrs only. if you want other protocols like AFHDS/2A you need a 4 in 1 protocol module
It sure does! I personally haven’t tried it on the pocket but all ELRS radios should have this functionality since it’s more a feature built into ELRS utilising the existing transmitter. This would only apply to the ELRS version tho 😎
I wish I could confirm this but don't have access to any console to try. The pocket has the same generic controller interface as every other radio tho so if it doesn't work then no other radio that uses edge tx will
You can as long as you get the version with the multi protocol if the quads and heels aren't all running ELRS. I'd check the compatibility first because the multi version of this has some limitations. If you are running ELRS in everything you'll be just fine tho
