For all the haters that say Floyd was a boring fighter... watch these early fights. He fought aggressive like this FOR YEARS. But he absolutely HAD to change his style due to how fragile and brittle his hands were. But being as great as he his he still figured a way out to win and still be a box office draw. NOTHING BUT RESPECT FOR THE MAN.

I think the biggest flaw of his career was making everything look like a mismatch & playing the villain. If he didn’t always win so lopsidedly I believe fans would be able to see that he did indeed fight All of the best fighters in or around his weight class. Secondly, when you play the villain role you gain a lot of enemies that want to see you lose. The fans still haven’t let that go. So due to the dislike they have to find a reason why he isn’t the greatest and how can they put an asterisk on his career to keep him from being the greatest.

Floyd left the sport of boxing worse then he came into it. His blueprint of making the most money while cherry picking inferior competition and finessing the fans into buying into it, has been copied by a majority of top fighters today. And that formula is literally murdering the sport. So if you want to say Floyd was a better boxer than Ali and Pacquiao, then you’re probably right.
But is he greater? More impactful? More revered? More respected by the boxing community? More beloved by the boxing community?
No. And never will be. He could’ve been the greatest, but he chose “the bag” over legacy.

Na I think Floyd beats Sugar Ray Leonard and Hearns. After watching that Sugar Ray Leonard vs Floyd Sr i would 100% give it to Floyd jr because Floyd sr would teach Floyd all of Leonard’s moves and how to adapt. Floyd jr fighting Leonard is like another Floyd vs Manny Pacquio other than Leonard is a little taller. Hearns on the other hand has a big chance because of his height and his reach and does have power. I feel like Hearns would give Floyd some good shots that would make Floyd back up and start moving around like what Leonard did the first half of the fight but when Floyd starts to adjust that’s when he starts to get in his rhythm and pick Hearns apart winning a UD
